Tikal
Name: Tikal
Age: 14 (real age unknown) Sex: Female Species: Echidna Appearance: Standing at a short 3’1”, Tikal is a peachy coloured echidna. Her quills are shorter than Knuckles’, reaching only to her shoulders in length. They are however decorated with various pieces of white fabric and a few gold coloured bangles. A golden bands runs around her head just under her quills, several gems fitted into the front of it. She wears a small white sleeveless top and a patterned violet and white skirt. A large necklace similar to her head band rests around her shoulders, a similar gem set into it. Her outfit is rounded off with a small pair of white sandals, her feet wrapped up in strands of white fabric under them. Personality: Tikal is a gentle soul who hates to see people hurt. She is normally very quiet and peaceful, spending her time playing with chao. She hates greed and selfishness though, very often standing up for what she believes in. She is, however, a pacifist and as such can never bring herself to fight. Because of this many see her as weak and often ignore her words and pleas. Tikal tries not to let this effect her but she is easily saddened but never looses sight of her resolve. In fact being ignored or shouted down only makes her resolve stronger. Family: Father - Chief Pachacamac (Deceased) Transport: Orb Form – Tikal can form herself into a glowing orb of light allowing her to float in the air. She is much quicker in this form and can access places she wouldn’t be able to normally. Weapons: Tikal uses her fists and skills in chaos energy to fight, she has no actual weapon. Biography: All that is known of Tikal family is her father, Chief Pachacamac, who governed the tribe she was from. Her mother died when she was young and Tikal was raised by her grandmother until she too passed away. From a young age she was taught about how precious life was and about the evils in the world. Tikal took these lessons to heart, quickly becoming a pacifist as she grew up. After her grandmother died Tikal continued to follow her teachings, this though put her in direct conflict with her father who was obsessed with power and conquest. Tikal tried to reason with him but her pleas fell on deaf ears, her father considering Tikal to be weak and simple minded. Tikal continued to try but her determination was slowly being whittled away day by day. It was then that she stumbled upon and ancient shrine in the mountains. As she approached she felt an enormous amount of energy coming from the shrine, a warming glow that permeated her very skin. She had found the legendary Chaos Emeralds that her grandmother had spoken about. Not only that but she had found a new life form, small blue creatures called Chao. Although afraid of her at first the Chao soon came to trust her, Tikal getting another surprise when this happened. From out of the water of the shrine rose another creature, a being made of liquid named Chaos. He was the guardian of the Chao, Chaos keeping them safe from anyone who would try to hurt them. Eventually though Tikal’s father found out about the shrine and learned of the Chaos Emeralds. When that happened he launched an attack to take the Emeralds. Tikal stood in his way along with the Chao but they were no match for the battle hardened echidnas. They were all brushed aside as her father and his men swept into the shrine. At this time Chaos appeared, enraged by the scene before him. Absorbing the power of the Chaos Emeralds he slaughtered Tikal’s father and his men and went on a rampage. Tikal then remembered a poem her grandmother had taught her, Tikal eventually understanding what it meant and the purpose of the giant emerald at the centre of the shrine. Calling upon its power she sealed herself and the enraged Chaos within the Master Emerald, the pair locked in an endless slumber. That was until thousands of years later when Robotnik smashed the Master Emerald releasing both Tikal and Chaos into the world again. Tikal, knowing that Chaos would rampage again, frantically tried to show people what had happened all those years ago. Luckily for her Sonic and his friends were on her side, trying their best to stop both Chaos and Robotnik. In the end though it didn’t go as planned as Chaos finally managed to absorb the power of the seven Chaos Emeralds again. Tikal herself finally managed to will enough power to form a physical shape, up until now only appearing to the world as a glowing orb. She explained everything that was left to explain and pleaded with Sonic and his friends to stop Chaos. Sonic did just that, using the emeralds power to go super and defeating Chaos. With the negative energies of the emeralds and Chaos’ rage neutralised Tikal thanked her helpers and vanished along with Chaos. Nobody really knows what happened to her or Chaos but many speculated she had returned to the newly formed Master Emerald. This was in fact true, the pair residing peacefully for a while until the Master Emerald was shattered again during the Arc incident. Although Tikal took no part at the time she watched what had happened to the world and decided not to return to the Master Emerald after it had been completed again. In stead she remained in the real world deciding it was finally time for her to experience life once again. Moves: Chaos Screen – Tikal’s body is saturated with Chaos energy due to her spending so much time within the Master Emerald. To this end she can call upon some of this energy to form a quick defensive barrier around herself and others. The screen is two meters wide and the same height and can protect against most weak and normal hits. If Tikal has a Chaos Emerald the effect is roughly doubled. Limit: Twice per fight Wrath of Gaia – By using her full body mass Tikal can cause the ground to shake with a well timed punch. The resulting shake can knock people clean off their feet but does little else. Heaven’s Justice – Tikal creates a miniature lightning bolt to strike an enemy. The bolt is enough to send their head spinning, heavily disorientating them for a few seconds but isn’t lethal or even damaging. Blessing of Mother Earth – Using her powers Tikal can call upon the healing properties of chaos energy to create a healing touch that radiates from her hands. She has to be either touching or within a few inches for the move to work and it won’t heal serious injuries, merely soothe pains and stop things progressing any further. Minor wounds can be fully healed. Skills: Enhanced Glide – Tikal is an expert when it comes to gliding, being able to glide further than Knuckles and pretty much any other echidna around. Wall Climbing – Being an echidna Tikal is skilled at climbing vertical surfaces using the claws on her hands. She can also use these claws to dig but she’s not as good at that as Knuckles is. Chaos Attuned – Being in contact with the Master and Chaos Emeralds for so long Tikal has developed a sixth sense for finding and detecting them. She can also use their power very effectively but as she is a pacifist she has yet to use these powers for attacking purposes. Strengths: + Tikal is highly skilled at defence and evasion. + Tikal is always hopeful, spreading this feeling to those around her and helping them overcome barriers. + Tikal is fast on her feet, being faster than most at running baring Sonic of course. Weaknesses: - Tikal is not exactly used to combat, even though she is an echidna she’ll fall after a couple of hits and her physical blows are much weaker than most echidnas. - Being a pacifist Tikal will not fight at all, she couldn’t bare to hurt anyone, she will merely defend. - Although being older than most would suspect Tikal still has the mentality of a child. |
