Vinvent von berg
Yessir, Spyke here. I finally decided to get off my lazy ass and go finish this profile. Enjoy.
Name: Vincent von Berg Age: 28 Sex: Male Species: Vampire Bat Rank: Seeker Appearance: Vincent is known famously amongst his brothers for his light pale skin and long canine fangs. His eyes are dark and soulless, showing no remorse in any of his actions. Though his body is well concealed by his cloak, he is well built and athletic. His long silver hair is tied back into a ponytail, and is usually hidden by his uniform hood. His wings sprout from two holes in his cloak, which are his primary mode of transport. Personality: Vincent is known for his serious personality. He takes every thing he does within the Brotherhood very seriously. As Seeker, it is his job to use the information gathered by the Shadow Scouts and seek out new members, a task that he holds in high regards. While keeping a menacing appearance, Vincent is a renowned gentleman. He refuses to fight, unless he absolutely has to. He leaves combat to his teammates. He treats his job as a business, and is always willing to make a deal to gain a new member, so long as his loss is not great. Transport: wings Weapons: Clawed gauntlets, which are concealed in his cloak Biography: Born of the prestigious von Berg Family, Vincent spent most of his childhood with a status of grace, riches and nobility. The noble family resided in a lavish area of Capitol City. As a child, Vincent was your stereotypical “spoiled rich kid”. He had everything he ever wanted and far, far more. Trapped in the nativities of childhood, young Vincent believed that nothing could ever happen to him or his family. Truth be told, half of the von Berg Family Legacy was supplied by his father’s seedy dealings and black market scandals. The bat associated with many of the underground gangs and mobs which dealt with most illegal activities. Von Berg gave the orders, the mob carried out their end of the bargain, and the von Berg family got paid. Everyone else only saw the façade of a honest noble family. Unfortunately, things could only turn sour as time grew on. One particularly large mob, which had grown in power through the assistance of the von Berg family, believed that it was being shorthanded deals after doing a great deal of dirty work. The mob threatened harm to the family if more money wasn’t supplied, but von Berg turned a blind eye. The family was in a great deal of shady business, but blackmail was still far beneath them. He believed that the family was loved and protected by the people of the city, and nothing could happen so long as that remained. They were wrong. In the middle of the night, the mob raided von Berg Manor, bounding the family and keeping them prisoner in their basement as countless riches and priceless heirlooms were carried out into the night. No one was killed, but the robbery hit the family hard. Without the family legacy, the manor could no longer be afforded. The mobs of the city would no longer associate with the family, so nearly all income was lost. The von Berg family went from one of the most prestigious families of Capitol City, to mere beggars in a matter of days. Vincent’s life continued as such until he was 15 years old. In the past seven years of poverty, Vincent learned to take to the shadows to survive. He thrived in the darkness and embraced his inner urges. He became a monster. His stealth abilities improved greatly, he learned to become nearly undetectable when hiding in the darkness. It was then the Dark Brotherhood began to take interest in the young bat, seeing the promise that he held. Being approached by the former Seeker, a large bull, he was taken deep into the darkness and became an assassin. The bull greeted Vincent warmly after his entrance into the Brotherhood. He presented him with a pair of claw gauntlets, claiming that the shadows knew his skill, and the Founder knew the weapon would benefit his skills in speed and stealth. Vincent started out at the bottom of the barrel with the rest of the newcomers and murderers enlisted into the Brotherhood. He was given the easiest contracts to fulfill: steal an item, kill some poor schmuck, don’t be seen. It was an easy job, and it provided the young bat with a place to live and three meals a day. He was astounded by the care the Brotherhood had for its members. These thieves, brutes and murderers treated each other like brothers and sisters, expressing the love only a family could provide. He truly felt at home in the sanctuary. As the bat slowly rose through the rankings, he soon became involved in much more complex and difficult contracts. He was pressed with one contract that would end the suffering which caused him to join the Brotherhood in the first place. He was called to work with a team to bring down the mob which ruined the name of the von Berg family. The mission would be an easy task. The Seeker himself would be on this mission, acting as a guide and mentor for the young bat. They would simply rush in and destroy the gang in any way possible. Unfortunately, it was not as easy as they believed. After the initial break-in, they were quickly discovered and met with force. Vincent’s speed allowed him to dodge their attacks long enough to take cover. The large, bulky Seeker, however, was not. Cut down, and now without a mentor or a Seeker, Vincent had no guidance on how to finish his mission. Using an open window, the young vampire bat flew to his safety and vowed never to return to that location. The Brotherhood mourned the loss of their Seeker, knowing now that they were without a flesh-and-bone leader. Though, being the last person to see the bull alive, and being the close relationship the two had, the Brotherhood believed that Vincent should become the new Seeker. As Seeker, he was given his own bodyguard, a large tortoise named Golem, and in his time as Seeker, he has taken on a student of his own, in the young vixen Jilian. Since the event in which made him Seeker, Vincent has spent every moment of his free time training to become stronger. He wants to be strong enough so that what happened to his mentor would never happen to him. While he is not physically strong, his speed and agility make him a formidable opponent. Moves: Black Drill: Vincent flies high into the air and dive-bombs his opponent while spinning quickly, where upon impact he delivers slashes with his clawed gauntlets. Defects: Prolonged use of this move will leave Vincent dazed and dizzy. If he misses, he won’t be able to break out of the spiral in time before impacting with the ground. Venom: Vincent spits a mouthful of his venom at his opponent. This move requires him to get at most within 5 feet of his opponent, but upon contact the venom will create a powerful burning sensation to stun; contact with the eyes will cause temporary blindness. Defects: Limited range requires Vincent to get in close to strike. Vincent is susceptible to same damage from venom if it lands on his skin. Skills: Venom Production: Vincent’s fangs contain venom glands which can produce a potent poison. While not fatal to furs or humans, it creates a great deal of pain in contact with the skin. On the down side, Vincent has no natural protection from it, so if the venom lands on him, he will receive the same pain. The inside of his mouth is the only safe place in which he can come in contact with the venom without experiencing pain. Veil of the Founder: An ancient technique passed down from brother to brother over generations. This technique allows a member to more effectively hide in the shadows. While the brother can not become invisible, he will become difficult to detect with the unaided eye. This does not effect sound, so slow moving and stealth are still necessary to remain undetected. Information Gathering: As Seeker, it is Vincent’s sole responsibility to scout new members for the Brotherhood. The scouts for the Brotherhood send all information straight to him, and he uses this information to seek out these new members. Scouting information can include anything from location of gathering to last known tasks. This allows Vincent to locate these potential brothers more easily. Flight: As a vampire bat, Vincent has the ability to fly. This drains his stamina faster than running, and has limited stealth abilities. Vincent is not physically strong enough to carry anyone during flight for more than a few seconds. Strengths: -ability to fly -high speed and great amounts of agility -venom causes great deal of pain and stuns opponents -high position in Brotherhood allows great deal of connections Weaknesses: -little physical strength -rarely feels need to fight -attacks require getting within close proximity of opponent -must often make sacrifices for good of the Brotherhood instead of personal gain NPCs: Name: Jilian Delaflote Sex: Female Species: Fox Rank: Assassin Weapon: custom curved dagger Appearance: The budding flower of the Brotherhood, Jilian is gifted with the beauty to match a Greek goddess. Her deep brown fur contrasts pleasantly with her long black hair. Her muzzle and a small patch of fur on her stomach are black. During combat she wears a black Kevlar vest and long pants made of a similar material. Her normal attire includes either her Brotherhood robes and hood, or a black belly shirt and white sweat pants. Personality: Though living in the shadows, Jilian keeps a carefree and happy attitude. Often known by her fellow Brothers as “the bouncy one”, the young assassin will do whatever it takes to bring a smile on her friends’ faces. During battle, Jilian utilizes her quick speed to bring down her opponents. Despite being so happy and carefree, Jilian is concentrated and intense in battle. Bio: Jilian’s story with the Brotherhood began a few short years ago. Unable to support herself, the young fox moved in with her current love affair. Unfortunately, that love affair was heavily involved in the black market, and was a heavy drinker. After a sale went wrong, her love’s superiors had paid a visit, destroying everything in the house before coming to the couple. Wanting to teach him a lesson instead of killing a useful fence, the superiors captured Jilian and beat her to an inch of her life, before leaving her lifeless in a back alley before the Vincent discovered her. She has since then become a new assassin for the Brotherhood of Shade and Vincent’s personal student. -------- Name: Glen Jacobs Codename: Golem Sex: Male Species: Giant Tortoise Rank: Guardian Weapon: bare hands Appearance: Standing at 6’4”, the giant tortoise dwarfs most furs, and even some humans. The large fur boasts a rock hard shell which he uses as a powerful shield, though because of the large size of his shell, he cannot wear shirts. Instead, he wears a large, thick pair of black khaki pants and on official business sports his black hood, the only part of his Brotherhood uniform that he can comfortably wear. During battle he wears a silver metal strip across both hands to increase the strength of his punch and protect his knuckles. Personality: When it comes to ego, Golem is about as hard-headed as it gets. He thinks very highly of himself, and has the showmanship to prove it. Being an ex Arena fighter, Golem is known to be brash, blunt and a complete loud mouth. However, since joining the Brotherhood of Shade, Golem has become a dedicated Guardian to his Seeker, Vincent. In battle, Golem feels most at home. Using his pure strength as a weapon, the giant tortoise uses old moves used to draw crowds in the Arena, though now with the intention to kill. Bio: Glen Jacobs began his career as a young rookie in the Combat Arena, which pitted fighter against fighter in front of a large crowd. Once rising high enough in the ranks to be recognized as a fighter, Jacobs gained the moniker Golem for his large size and impressive strength. However, when he reached the match that would put him on top of the Combat Arena and name him champion, a mob group representing the current champion approached Golem, proposing an offer: take a dive and receive two million rings, double the prize money for the championship belt, or win the fight and die by the hands of the mob. Too arrogant to listen to the mob, Golem fought and won the battle in a victory. As he held the championship belt over his head, he signed the deal with the mob to try and kill him off. However, after winning the belt and taking the prize money, the tortoise vanished into the darkness and joined the Brotherhood of Shade. Eventually he rose through the ranks just as he did in the Arena. Soon enough he became the Guardian of the new Seeker, Vincent. |
