RE: Shining Prospect
Quote:"Of course I do," "Eighteen is the perfect age, because that's around where most mobians are at their peak physical state. Can you fix this too? Amiroo said you could." Tybe turned his head to the side as Nail showed him his amputated tail. "hmmm" Tybe said in thought, as Nail spoke, eyeing his tail. "by the stars, how didn't I notice that!!" Era gasped as she recoiled away from the sight. "Calm yourself, little sister." Tybe reprimanded. "Yes elder" she said, quickly lowering her head as she composed herself. Tybe looked to Nail again, "reversing amputation is a routine procedure, but first I'll have to map your genome and take some radiant images of your internal structures." Meanwhile, Rye watched in awe at Gichii's moves, her lower jaw hanging slightly as would someone watching a very interesting television program, "ah, I see. An entertainment medium. Rog, are you getting this?" she said gesturing to the raptor with a camera trained on Gichii now. "I'm getting it, don't worry." "I apologize for any offense brother, but this is history in the making, we only get this once to get it right." The male raptor gave her a sour look. Like he didn't know the gravity of the situation, come on, really? Rye turned a cheerful smile back to Gichii. " So tell us what's going through your mind right now, just first thing that comes to mind." Rog stepped forward, his camera locked on Gichii. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Quote:"My name is Terrador Bellator. I have the ability to manipulate the element of earth through both the power of my mind and magic force. I inherited this power through my parents. We have a belief that we are a physical personification of the spirit of the Earth, thus lending us its power. For 11 years I have honed my powers and I have become quite proficient." Amiroo and Amero, stood in stunned silence as Terra demonstrated his powers. These Mobians were more magically proficient then they realized. Quote: "Of course with Am's ability to control fire, I assume one of you has a similar ability to mine and you are not amused by my demonstration." "On the contrary Terra" Am started, "that's very impressive, we had no idea your people's knowledge of magic was that extensive. That being said, yes we do have those back home who can manipulate terrestrial substances. None of us here, are one however. I would like to ask, do yo...." Am was cut short by the sight of Terra eating rocks. "d...did you just eat that?" Am asked amazed, "no ketchup or anything?" he added chuckling. Amero's lower jaw simply hung open in shock, no way did this mobian just eat solid rock. |

Quote:"reversing amputation is a routine procedure, but first I'll have to map your genome and take some radiant images of your internal structures." Nail vaguely nodded while maintaining a blank face, as if he understood the things Tybe said. He vaguely understood genetics (it was a blueprint for your body, more or less) but little more than that. "Okay, so when can we begin?" Obviously he just wanted to get right to it and didn't care much for the interaction beyond that. Nail sometimes had a bad habit of only thinking of himself, instead of making requests while also being friendly and cordial. |

Quote:" So tell us what's going through your mind right now, just first thing that comes to mind.""Well..." Giichi chuckled, rubbing his hands together. "I cannot wait to tell all of my friends that I got to go into outer space. I am the first person I know in all of my social circles that has ever gone into space now." He blinked a couple times, the smile fading as he realized the ramifications of what he was suggesting. The cat forgot that these raptors wanted their little colony to stay secret for now. This was their first contact. "Well...when would I be able to do that? I know you're not ready to show yourselves to the general public yet." |

RE: Shining Prospect
Terrador raised an eyebrow at the duo of raptors who gave questionable looks at something he perceived as normal. The first rock had been completely consumed and the other 2 were turned to sand as the Geomancer's hand clenched into a brief fist.
"Yes, I did." he answered. "My kinetic power must be restored and consuming earth like I did now replenishes it. Being in your shuttle Am, my connection with the ground was disrupted." he explained, crossing his arms as he spoke. "My parents gave me fair warning that if such a thing continued, my markings would vanish and my ability would cease to exist." he stopped briefly at the grave thought that dwelled within his mind."If it continues... my demise would inevitably follow after a short time." he continued, his voice sounding moderately shaky. He cleared his throat to remove the uneasiness from his tone. "I am thankful this cave is here. I was close to losing my power. You have my thanks." he said with a series of nods. |

RE: Shining Prospect
Quote:"Okay, so when can we begin?" Tybe smiled "well, just whenever you want." Honestly, Tybe was just as ready as Nail to get started. He was looking forward to taking blood samples from Nail to get a better understanding of the mobian Genome and this was the perfect excuse. The Humans were explainable, they were distant descendants of the lemurs that inhabited the Earth back when his kind had ruled this world. These mobians were a complete mystery however, with no clear evolutionary origin. Getting a glimpse at that genome would be a good place to start to solve that mystery. Quote:"Well...when would I be able to do that? I know you're not ready to show yourselves to the general public yet." Rye tilted her head in thought a moment as Rog continued to film. "I'm not sure, that will likely have to wait until whenever we get the go ahead from the fleet. Their very sensitive about this issue as we don't normally make contact with pre space faring species. We made an exception this time seeing as technically you're our kin, by our law. This world is sacred to our kind, we don't want to do anything that might damage it or it's inhabitants, so naturally we're taking this slowly." Quote:"I am thankful this cave is here. I was close to losing my power. You have my thanks." Amiroo had a perplexed expression as he listened to Terrador. "So, will even being on an artificial surface, like our steel walkways, drain you of your powers?" "Brother, we will have to take note of this weakness, we don't want to put any of them in danger." Amero said. "Yes, I will speak with Tybe, arrangements will have to be made. This will certainly make travel more interesting, now that space travel is out of the question." Amiroo responded. |

RE: Shining Prospect
Nail returned Tybe's smile when the raptor mentioned they could begin on the gene therapy immediately.
"Okay, then lead the way." Sooner the better as far as he was concerned. Plus it would give him an excuse to leave this room. Even if the raptors were friendly he felt just plain uncomfortable being around an entire group of them. He couldn't stop thinking of that old dinosaur movie with the park and everything. |

"Just wondering then..." Giichi mused. "What do you think your next step after this would be? What would you move up to now that you've made first contact?"

RE: Shining Prospect
Terrador nodded at Am. "Yes, I unfortunately not been able to control metal much like my father can. It will drain my powers yes, but at a much slower rate." he stated. "No such arrangements are necessary. I can go prolonged amounts of time without an earthen surface. I had just left a battle shortly before our departure and my Geokinesis was already low.” He pointed out, placing a hand on the bruise next to his forehead marking. “So long as I am at full power, it will lessen the complications. If need be, I can gather a number of rocks for consumption.” He said with a couple of nods.
