RE: Alfredrick's
(Sorry guys, I never got an email alert :/ I was thinking something was strange lol.)

Terrador had his staff in hand, uncertain about Am's allies. One thing he'd rather not face without being on guard was a race of possibly hostile raptors. However as the hatch opened he found there was no harm, but he would remain vigilant just in case things went against his favor. With a simple shrug, he too hopped aboard the vessel and placed the Baculum Petra on his lap. Nail's sudden friendliness resulted in a raised eyebrow from the echidna. He wasn't sure what was going on in the canine's mind, but something about him was unsettling. Giichi didn't hesitate much to accept the generous offer, so he didn't wish to appear unfriendly.

"Yes. Much thanks." the Geomancer replied as he took the bread. His fanged teeth sank into it and he rather enjoyed it. With an uncanny ability to eat rocks or other earth minerals and gaining metabolic energy, then living off that for several years and having normal food was a nice change in pace. After finishing his morsel, he simply sat back and awaited their destination.

RE: Alfredrick's
The outside world began disappearing from view as the rear loading ramp began retracting into it's closed position.

"Alrighty" Era said as the rear ramp sealed shut with a hiss, while three red lights on the ramp, two on the each side and one further towards the leading edge in the middle, turned green indicating a good seal.

"Cabin is pressurized and we are go for lift off." She said as she gently pushed forwards on the controls. The ship whirred as it lifted into the air, leaving the rooftop behind. Era glanced back briefly at their passengers, taking note of their nervous and on edge body language.

Am smiled, "I take it you guys have never flown in a UFO before, huh?"

Era passed him a cautious look.

"what?"

"They're stressed, that's what. Try not to make it worse."

"ah, they're a cool bunch" Am said waving a clawed hand dismissively. "Besides, I don't see you doing anything to try to calm them."

Era didn't respond for a moment as she maneuvered the ship lazily through the downtown skyline.

"guys, before we ascend to cruising speed we need to go over a brief safety check list and our flight plan." Era began, putting on her best tour guide impression. " Our safety briefing is alarmingly boring. Fortunately it is brief and goes a follows: At no time are you to play loud obnoxious music. If you do, you will be Jettisoned from the vehicle. Please avoid opening any hatches or windows while in flight as people have a tendency of jettisoning themselves from the vehicle in that manner. This is a strictly non smoking zone and at no time are you to smoke inside of this vehicle. If you do, you will be jettisoned from the vehicle via the smallest, microscopic, crack in the fuselage we can find. I would strongly advise against playing pranks on the pilot, as that too will get you jettisoned from the vehicle. Do not, under any circumstances, press any buttons, flip switches, or pull levers as that pass time has a tendency to getting the entire crew jettisoned from the vehicle quite violently. You will notice that there are exits at the rear of the vehicle, as well as two cabin doors behind the pilot and copilot seats. In the event of an accident, it is perfectly natural, even encouraged, to scream for your mothers as we plummet to our doom. If we survive the crash, it is generally agreed upon, though a debate still lingers on this issue, that running in the opposite direction of anything that is burning is considered good form. Also, know that there are six oxygen canisters on the walls of the cabin. In the event we should lose cabin pressure I strongly advise using them to avoid blacking out. And finally, In the middle of the cargo ramp you are sitting on you will notice three large blue square hatches with small red latches on the floor next to them. Should I give the order, you are to pull on those latches which will open the containers under those blue squares. Inside those containers, you will find all the survival equipment you can stand, neatly wrapped up in backpacks, that will aid in your survival post accident. Be advised however, the chances of a crash are extremely remote. This pilot has over 13,500 flight hours under her belt and not a single crash or near crash on my record. On top of this, Saurian space force safety regulations and procedures during every stage of flight and preflight are known to be some of the strictest and most thorough in the inhabited galaxy."

She paused a moment, turning a smiling face back towards her passengers letting them know she was kidding around with them.

"Our flight plan today here aboard this Saurian spacecraft is a doozy, and I'm glad you're all here to enjoy it with us. After exiting the city's airspace we will begin our climb to 130,000 feet and a holding speed of 2,700 mph, or about Mach 3.6 for you aviation enthusiasts back there. After a few final safety checks, I'll pitch the nose up at a 45 degree angle and we will begin accelerating to a suborbital velocity. We will exit the atmosphere on a ballistic trajectory above the Mobian atmosphere. We will travel through the vacuum of space for approximately 51 minutes. At 51 minutes and 15 seconds our trajectory will intersect the atmosphere at a speed of 13,100 mph, or mach 17.3. By that time, we will have covered 11,100 miles. I will advise you that reentry can be rough for some, in which case we have 'barf bags' above your heads on either side of the cabin in little yellow boxes marked with a red claw symbol on them. Please feel free to use them at any time, as blowing chunks in my ship will get you jettisoned from the vehicle. Also, be advised that this ship does not come equipped with artificial gravity as most Navy vessels do. While our flight path takes us through space you will experience a microgravity environment. You will be able to float about the cabin, but I advise you to keep your goofing around under control, as annoying the pilot will get you jettisoned from the vehicle. After we have reentered the atmosphere, we will be over the arctic tundra of the frozen north. Our base is cleverly hidden within the ice desert, so please do not be too alarmed when we set down in what appears to be a frozen waste land. When we arrive in the base, you will not disembark immediately. You will wait for Myself and Amiroo to open the ramp and exit the vehicle. Then you will be permitted to exit yourselves. A warning for you, the things you will see inside our base will boggle the mind as our society has had a hundred million year head start on your own. Myself, Amiroo, and any member of the crew will be happy to brief you on anything you may find yourself curious about. Though be advised we may not be allowed to divulge how said technologies function. I would strongly advise against touching anything or eating anything we haven't approved for your consumption. As always, the SRSF, also known as the Saurian Republic Space force, would like to thank you for choosing to fly with us today. We realize you have a choice in which UFO space-line you fly with and we appreciate you choosing us. Thank you and enjoy your flight."

Amiroo laughed. "Really? You tell me not to scare them and you're over there talking about shooting people out into space!?"

"The difference is they know that I'm joking with them."

"really now..."

"yes, really. I delivered to them vital safety information about the vehicle in a fun way. That way, it's more likely to stick in their minds."

Amiroo shook his head before turning a smile back to the passengers.

"alright guys, hang on tight"

Era pushed forward on the throttle and the G's increased slightly as the ship left the city behind and began ascending into the sky. Within moments, the ship had entered the cloud base and was fighting it's way through the overcast sky. The ship rocked as it was buffeting about by turbulent air currents within the clouds. After a few moments the ship burst free of the clouds revealing the sunny skies above.

" look at that sunny sky, beautiful " Era said pushing the throttle further, the G forces increasing slightly again. "we are currently at 22,400 feet and climbing. We are about to pass through the sound barrier."

Suddenly, the ship began to buffet a bit and continued rattling for about ten seconds before falling still again.

"We're supersonic. Passing 28,000"

Amiroo turned back to their passengers and shook his head approvingly. "yehaw!"

The windows began to fog up rapidly only to defog just as suddenly and repeated this over and over again. To the inexperienced this could look like smoke outside the ship.

"If you happen to be looking out any of the six small windows on the sides of the cabin you may notice what appears to be smoke flying past the window. Do not be alarmed, this is not in fact smoke. The vehicle is operating normally. What you are seeing are actually shock waves forming on the vehicle's skin. Our vehicle, now traveling at a speed of 1,100 mph is moving through atmosphere so fast that air cannot get out of the way fast enough to allow us to slip through, so it piles up briefly on the fuselage of the vehicle. In that air are water molecules that are compressed as that air piles up. When the air finally slips around the craft the air suddenly cools down, just as gas leaving a pressurized container becomes cold. As that air suddenly drops in temperature it falls below the dew point of those water molecules which condense together into larger water droplets forming what would be best described as clouds."

Era briefly looked down at her controls and then back up ahead of the ship. "We are passing mach 2 at an altitude of 70,000ft"

Amiroo had taken himself to simply being there for emotional support should their passengers become uncomfortable.

"We are passing Mach 2.8 at an altitude of 108,000ft"

Outside the windows the passengers would notice that the horizon below had developed a curve to it and despite it being daytime, the sky was dark with a few stars beginning to shine through. The sun had slowly transformed from a soft yellow to an angry blinding white light.

"passing 118,000ft at a speed of mach 3.2"

The vehicle made several strange noises and suddenly air began blowing into the cabin through vents.

" That noise is our climate control kicking in to keep our cabin temperature steady as we approach the edge of space."

Amiroo smiled but didn't say anything.

"and we're arriving at our designated cruising speed and altitude. We are at an altitude of 130,350ft at a speed of mach 3.6"

Era looked briefly at her controls switching between various screens checking over systems.

"we'll be making our climb to space in a few moments. I would advise you to take this time to prepare yourselves. We'll pull about 3 G's all the way to mach 17." Era stated not taking her eyes off the controls.

" You guys ready to be space travelers?" Amiroo added excitedly. "It's not as bad as she makes it sound. It's not even real space travel since we don't achieve a true orbit but you get to be weightless for a bit so that's something. I understand space travel still isn't commonplace for your people. Anyone want to share their thoughts?"
