RE: Swatpod Refueling Hangar- 7S
[Hey guys, continue posting as usual for now, but I'd like to make a proposal. With so many of us in one topic, I think it would take us a really, really long time to roleplay all the way through this building until we get to Robotnik's lab. Don't know about you but I feel like doing a time skip to get us closer to where the plot actually advances. How do you guys feel about it? Just leave an OOC comment with your post.]

RE: Swatpod Refueling Hangar- 7S
[We could split into a team to ambush a patrol for supplies/explore for a arsenal, and another team to move on ahead and set up a temporary base/hq by the control tower, giving ample space for a time skip.]

RE: Swatpod Refueling Hangar- 7S
Omega closed his eyes, listening to the suggestions given by his allies, and wanting to yank on Whip's ears for his stupidity. He was growing anxious, already wanting out of Robotropolis.
"Well, if it counts for anything, I could get out the bay door and safely to the ground, for a distraction, or whatever we'd need. As for a distraction in here, I'd be relatively useless from a distance." [I'm in favor of the split up idea] |

RE: Swatpod Refueling Hangar- 7S
(Consider me a tool~ Whatever you guys decide, I'll go with it.)
(10-06-2012 02:00 PM)Espio Wrote: He made a break for cover, sprinting as he took the liberty to attempt to grab Whip by the scruff of the neck on the way and pull him to cover admist a stack of crates and shipping boxes a close distance away from Chadin's position, and halfway between their Swatpod and Ji and Anu's position. If he did indeed grab Whip on the way, he would give him a quiet, but very stern lecturing in sign language that he failed to adhere to ninja logic101: The shadows are your friend! He was steaming at the moment, but had not the time to act on it. Not quite living up to the expectations set by his claim, Whip found himself snatched up rather easily. In a cross of mixed fortune, Whip was unable to discern Espio's camouflaged form and therefore, believing himself to be under some kind of supernatural attack, prepared to scream at the top of his lungs. Because of Espio's raging grip on his scruff, however, his larynx was forcefully cut off, leaving him awkwardly floating in the chameleon's path with an expression of sheer terror. Upon being, or if he was at all, released, he found himself breathing heavily and sputtering on all fours. After a bit of calming down, he initially felt uninitiated in the planning again, until Omega offered himself for a task. With some odd mixture of rivalry and urgency, now that his heart was pumping, he felt the need to contribute something. "Well, if we're finally getting something done, I should probably mention that a drop like that is no big deal to me either~" Whip relayed, getting up onto two feet. He demonstrated his point with his arm, lowering it down slowly whilst continuing, "I can just float down there, easy." Whip Teridere |

RE: Swatpod Refueling Hangar- 7S
(You KNOW you've screwed up when a mod has to invoke a blatant deus ex machina to save your hide. I'd like to think I was one of the lesser offenders, since I just followed everyone else.)
From their safe perch in the rafters, Ji and Anu had a whispered conference. (Ji) "That... was lucky." (Anu) "You're telling me, Your Highness. I don't even know what happened." They both kept an eye on the watchtower, knowing that as long as it was in commission everyone else would have trouble doing anything. (Ji) "I think I could take out those watchtower guards if someone could distract them." (Anu) "We don't want to get in the way of anyone else. The problem with being up here is that we can't hear what our allies are planning." (As for the timeskip/split, I'm good either way.) The Shattering screwed up time something awful. A select few were dumped out of their age altogether, a certain Egyptian queen included. One of Kitty O'Brien's characters. |

RE: Swatpod Refueling Hangar- 7S
[Okay, split up it is. I'll see if I can have Gail push us that way. When did you guys want to do the time skip? After this round? I think I may push us to where we meet at our little hiding place before we enter Robo's tower.]
"Say now...that's a good idea," he said in reference to Alpha and Whip. "Maybe anyone who can fly down could go out the hangar door, and then we could meet on the ground floor. I think it'd be kinda hard to move around with a group this--wait." He looked around. They were missing some people. Where were Ji and Anu? Peeking out from behind the barrels as much as he dared, he scanned the hangar bay. However he did not catch a trace of them, since he could only just peek out without being seen. "Where'd the Egyptians go?" --- Meanwhile, the maintenance bots that had just arrived set to work on their "damaged" swatpod. However, it would not take long for them to figure out no maintenance needed to be done at all. But they had left the exit door opened out of the hangar bay. What waited beyond the open door would be a surprise though... Also, one maintenance bot broke off from the ship repair group and hovered up the stairs to the control booth, with a clear cylinder full of some kind of red substance in its hands. It looked like it was about to deliver a new power cell to the bot that had been damaged. |

RE: Swatpod Refueling Hangar- 7S
[Okay, the base team will likely be headed out the hangar entrance to the ground to shake off anyone following them and find some where safe to scout out the control tower. The ambush team will try to make their way through the building, find supplies and meet up at base closer to the tower, ready to break in. We should timeskip when both objectives are complete. That sound about right? Any issues? ]
Espio probably should work on his people skills, becoming visable right behind Whip. He would proptly cover the rabbit's mouth with his right hand, just in case (or at least try to; he wasn't perfect.). It seemed he was a screamer. He did pause for a brief second, pointing up to the rafters. "The queen is scouting the entire situation from up above. It would be wise to travel in smaller groups till we reach our destination. "I will take Alpha and Whip down to the streets...and try to get some intel on the building. We may be seen leaving the building...", he said as he slowly uncovered the rabbit's mouth if he was sucessful. "So get ready.", he said pondering how much easier it would be getting out solo. He rummaged briefly through his pack to reveal his rope and grappling hook. "You and Chadin can work your way out on foot, find amunition, and perhaps something for Alpha if we don't by the time your out. The egyptian pair are watching us now.", he said glancing up at them. "They will choose which way is best." He then turned his eyes to the repair craft; it wouldn't be long before their ruse was discovered. "Either way, we can't stay here long. Those making their way out the front door; on me!", he said staying hushed as he began to make a sprint for the hangar entrance they flew in, attempting to stay in the shadows, and out of sight. His little speech may have cost him; making sure things were properly explained meant he wasn't watching the control room! It would be another moment or two before he eyes that repair droid... In addition things were soon to get hectic if they lingured, which might tamper with who sticks with who. Espio, master ninja extrodinare at your service. RE: Swatpod Refueling Hangar- 7S
"Right." I nodded in reply to Espio's plan. I never did much care for flying anyway. Then again, I hadn't really discovered that for sure until my first flight on Dulcy's back way back when. It sure would have been nice having her here now. We could the extra fire power.
Scanning the area from around the edge of the barrles to see what the best way to sneak out might be, I spotted the little maintenance bot carrying what I immediately recognized as a Swat-bot power cell. Glancing upward to the control booth, I had a brain wave. They might have a store of weapons up there. No doubt would be small, but we only needed one or two blasters and I could easily scrounge the bot's power cells for my crossbow. Plus, without the team watching over this particular hangar, we might be able to secure this hangar for our eventual escape; assuming no change of the guards occur. "Gail, I have an idea. If we can secure that control booth, we might be able to find some weapons and ammo inside. That bot over there has a spare power cell for a Swat-bot. It wouldn't be carrying one if a bot wasn't out of action. That means if we move fast, we might be able to take the booth under strength. I can take it down quietly, but we'll need to move fast after that to secure the booth." I suggested, rapidly pointing out the targets and objective to Gail as best I could without making a big production out of it that might be seen by any enemies. |

RE: Swatpod Refueling Hangar- 7S
Omega nodded to the chameleon, ducking out from behind the fuel barrels he had followed Chadin behind. He dashed toward the hangar's door, staying low to the ground. As he moved, he slid one of the graying rings from his finger, enlarging it enough to loop his hand through to lower himself to the ground. As he reached the door, he flung himself out into the air, preferring to free fall the majority of the way to the ground, only slowing his descent to safe speeds once he was near. As he touched down, he quickly made a point to duck behind whatever junk lay around the base of the tower until his allies managed to get down as well.
[Should we make a separate topic for the ground team? They kind of are going to a different location...] |

RE: Swatpod Refueling Hangar- 7S
Though Whip was a "screamer" under normal circumstances, he wasn't phased by Espio's transformation, having watched him perform it obsessively. What did frighten him enough to want to shriek in terror, however, was the hand that wrapped around his mouth, as, due to his desensitization to the transformation, he hadn't even registered Espio's existence. The muffled yell died down gradually to a bored drone, and then silence, as more intelligent of the team discussed their tactics.
He found himself caught off-guard by Espio's instantaneous action, having expected to sit idly for at least a few more minutes. Omega's short reaction time also surprised Whip, as he watched the two of them duck down through the hanger's doors. "H-hey! Wait for me!" He called forward, perhaps a touch flippantly, considering the situation, as he chased after them. Upon reaching the hanger, he hopped straight in, plummeting down very quickly by his weights, and only barely had the reaction time to cast his ears out into the air, gripping on the outer edges of them as they suddenly halted his descent into a brisk hover. Upon landing, he took it upon himself to adjust his ears behind him, instead of productively hiding himself from any scanning eyes beneath. Whip Teridere |
