Chaos Within

[Dr. Robotnik]

With Rampage in tow, Robotnik quickly turned the mecha around and ran the other way down the street, away from the fighting.

"We'll just go take the back door into the tower. No need to get up close and personal with Gojira or whatever that movie monster's name was."

After cutting down a few side streets and alleyways they would find themselves standing at the base of the Egg Tower, this time at an entrance on a different side from where the fight was. Robotnik quickly ran over to the retinal scanner and tried to put his eye up to it while still seated. But he found it rather hard to do, with being rather rotund and restricted to his tight cockpit.

Sighing, Robo unbuckled himself and jumped down so he could get closer to the device.

"Please watch out for me Rampage, in case some of those shadow creatures missed their reunion party."

[Chadin, would you like to drop Rampage and Robo out of the plotline for now? I think it'd be kinda boring roleplaying them just rushing to an armory. Unless you have an idea to make it more interesting?]

[Chadin]

"You'd be surprised what adrenaline can do for you." I replied to Gail through clenched teeth whilst clamping one of my hands down on the bleeding gash in my leg. I could feel this one ran pretty deep, but I couldn't worry about it much now. Not in the middle of a fight.

So, I quickly yanked some wrappings that I always carried with me in case something like this happened and hastily fastened them over my leg. The white fabric soon darkened with red blood, but at least it should hold for now.

Once that was taken care of, I swiftly grabbed my crossbow and followed after Gail.

[Jijeka-Te]

(I thought my turn would never come!)

Ji managed to pull herself to her feet, still dazed and unable to do anything else. Anu kept up with Chadin and Gail as well as he could.

[Rampage]

[Yes, let's bow them out for now till they get some new toys]

"You got it boss!" Rampage replied with a non-chalant salute and propped his gun on the mech's shoulder whilst his robotic left arm clung tightly to the mech itself for support.

[Espio]

Soon Espio had gotton considerable enough distance to begin. He turned back towards the creature, his feet shuffling as he forms a slip stream around himself, his expression gritted as he charges down the road, going faster and faster still. He jumps over a cluster of debris, kicking up a cloud of dust. He's roughly a quarter of the way to the beast now, keeping a watchful eye on both it and Mammoth.

[Alpha Omega]

Omega followed the beast's gaze, and continued to dart between buildings and behind cover, closing the gap between himself and it as best he could.

[Gail Strafer]

The black monster continued to stomp forwards down the street, leaving indentations in the concrete from its footsteps. When it hit Mammoth's barriers, it was a bit like watching a gelatin mold get pressed into a sheet of glass. The head and the entire front of its body compressed into a flat surface as it tried to push through the invisible wall. The creature hesitated, surprised and injured by this turn of events. But after a moment's hesitation, it continued to try pushing forward, thinking it might be able to simply push through whatever the obstruction was.

Meanwhile, as Gail grabbed the handrail to climb up another set of fire escape stairs, he realized that the railing felt awful slippery despite there being no moisture on anything. As he pulled his hand away, he realized it was stained with blood. Those glass cuts had done more damage than he thought they did. In fact his entire left arm had little rivulets of blood coursing through the fur.

Not really sure what to use, he decided to take off his vest and wrap it around his left arm as best as he could.

"Man! Never knew glass could be so sharp!"

Come to think of it, he felt vaguely dizzy from the blood loss and this alone frightened him. He clenched his right arm around his left, in an effort to hold the makeshift bandage tight. Fortunately they were almost to the top of the roof now, with a view above the creature.

"You wanna shoot first Chadin? I dunno about your crossbow though... I think to him it would just be like a mosquito bite."

[Mammoth Mogul]

Mammoth's knees bent with the weight of force the chaos dragon brought down upon him, but he did not buckle entirely. He could however feel himself skidding across the pavement. Dress shoes, hardly being known for their traction. But nevertheless, Mogul's own considerable girth, strength and chaotic power did provide him some edge. However he could not hope to last long under a force of nature such as this. Already, he could feel his shield wavering and sweat began to bead upon his forehead.

"Unless you wish to do battle with this creature yourselves, I require some assistance!" Mogul shouted with as much calm dignity as he could muster under the present circumstances.

[Chadin]

Once I reached the same level of the fire escape as Gail I too noticed how cut up his arm was. I'd have offered him some of the bandages from my pack, but he'd already wrapped his arm up with his vest by the time I'd reached him. Dressing our wounds properly could come later anyway.

"Man! Never knew glass could be so sharp!"

"Hah! You think that's bad, have I got stories to tell." I replied with a bitter laugh. My expression however quickly turned back to concern as I patted Gail on his uninjured side. "You okay? We need to work fast if we're going to be of any help.

"Unless you wish to do battle with this creature yourselves, I require some assistance!"

"You wanna shoot first Chadin? I dunno about your crossbow though... I think to him it would just be like a mosquito bite."

My ears perked up as I heard Mogul calling out for help. "Good point. Quick, Gail, pass me that rocket launcher!" I only partly waited for Gail to hand me the weapon. Time wasn't exactly on me side for civility. Story of my life, really.

Still, It took me a second to figure out if the thing was pointing in the right direction; remembering Gail's earlier experience back in that hallway. Truth be told, I'd never really used one of these things myself. I'd just had an awful lot of them shot at me before and seen one of my former teammates use one so I was only barely a step above Gail in terms of expertise on this thing. It only occured to me after I'd shouldered it and was about ready to fire that I remembered to check to see if it was even loaded. Thankfully it was, from right before Gail was about to fire on Robotnik, if my memory served. I brought the weapon up and aimed for the creature's eye. Sticking my tongue out of my mouth in some kind of bizarre prayer this thing didn't blow up in my face, I squeezed the trigger and the rocket shot away in the blink of an eye.[/color]

From her position on the ledge, Ji could see the huge creature. Deciding there wasn't really anything she could do to help out at this point, she stayed where she was.

Anu moved to check Gail over to see the full extent of his injuries, and do what he could to address them.
