RE: Recovery Mission
"Predominantly, yes. But I like to change things up as often as I can. An unpredictable opponent is the most dangerous. It's why fighting the Freedom Fighters is far more exciting than bots. Too predictable."
By now the video of the beach battle was in full swing. Rampage watched with interest as the Freedom Fighters fought back. One of whom being a wolf wielding what looked like a magnum of some sort. "Huh, well look at that. Rare to find Freedom Fighters backing an old fashioned gun like that. Heck, even the deer and that laser crossbow is a bit out of the ordinary. The Knothole Freedom Fighters I remember facing didn't have any toys like those. Preferred to fight hand to hand or with a few specialized toys." |

RE: Recovery Mission
“I dunno. Seems like everything I’ve ever dealt with.” replied as he shrugged. “Then again, I wasn’t fighting any kind of resistance group; just the opposing government.”
As he continued to watch the videos, a sudden pain seemed to shot him in the admin. Cringing, he immediately crossed his arms to grip the lower half of his body as the pain started to swell. He had been getting the itchy feeling that he’d forgotten about something. Now that the pain started, it acted as a reminder to him. He hadn’t taken his meds since about seven hours. The only way he seemed to reply was through growling, as he let his right hand go to dig through his pocket. Getting the metal container out, he took it with his left hand and proceeded to open it. It had at least five slots, with only two filled with syringes that were full of something. Seeing the contents he cursed before taking one of the syringes and injecting it into his left arm. It would take a few moments before the pain would go away. |

RE: Recovery Mission
"And I suppose that's there to keep you from going kill crazy like a werewolf or something?" Rampage asked dryly while one hand hovered near his Mauler laser rifle.

“No, just death.” he let out in a disgruntled tone. “Just give it a minute the pain will die down soon enough.”

RE: Recovery Mission
As the pain began to die down, he started to slowly begin to relax. It wasn’t completely gone, but for the moment it was at a level where he could withstand it a lot better. With a sickly look (or perhaps irritated, it’s hard to tell), he began to explain.
“Nope. Body’s starting to shut down.” He replied, nonchalantly.“What I get for being an abomination of nature.” |

RE: Recovery Mission
"A-huh." Rampage muttered in thought. "No argument here about that part. That mean you're some kind of demon or something?" All the while Rampage and Tatsu were talking, Rampage was also paying close attention to the security footage. One advantage of having one eye being mechanical, he could record everything that eye saw for later. An almost literal photographic memory.
What Rampage did manage to gleam from the parts he had been paying close attention to was this, of the rag tag group from the beach, was quite an invaluable bit of knowledge. The frilled lizard dressed up as Cleopatra was a bit of an oddity. The fact she could fly using her frill came as little surprise to a person who'd fought against a fox who could fly like a helicopter with his tails. That one could cause trouble if he allowed himself to loose track of her in a fight. That said, she seemed very hesitant and slow to act. Plus, she relied on close quarters fighting with that crook of her's. That could be exploited easily. The wolf on the other hand packed a powerful magnum. Not that heaviest fire power Rampage had ever stared down, but dangerous nonetheless. Besides that, he seemed to be much more physically adept than any of the others. But he seemed to be the least focused and greenest of the beach group. A novice if ever there was one. Easy pickings if set up for the right fall. The deer on the other hand was a whole other ball game. Already it was apparent he's a crack shot and extremely clever and adaptable. A quick look at how well Robotnik came away from his battle with him was evidence enough to that effect. A seasoned Freedom Fighter if he'd ever seen one; which he has. What made this one interesting however was that strange glow, that... electricity he could summon. The battle against Robotnik made it abundantly clear he could dish out some serious high voltage. That could be a serious problem for him. Judging by how his shock attack seemed to cripple Robotnik's ship, he could only imagine what that might do to Rampage's own cybernetics. Rampage would never admit it, but without those cybernetics he'd be as good as dead. If he wanted to face down this deer, he'd have to avoid getting close enough for that deer to shock him. But that would fighting within his element. That didn't bode well for Rampage. His mauler is built to lay down a wall of fire, not accuracy. He'd need to change his tactics to be able to meet a superior ranged opponent without closing taking the fight up close. "So, any thoughts on these Freedom Fighters?" Rampage finally asked after rolling ideas around in his head for a few minutes. |

RE: Recovery Mission
“Nope, just a lab experiment.” he replied simply as he watched the footage.
Considering that he had actually -been- there during the fight, he was just seeing everything from a different angle. Everything Rampaged had observed there, he had basicly dealt with on the beach. But some things didn’t add up. For example, the human. He’d been pretty useless and caught by the Doctor early on. Now he remembered some radio feed while he was stuck in the med-room which raised a brow. The first was how easily he betrayed his allies. It almost seemed out of place; but perhaps his meek attitude was more of a backstabbing coward. But then Robotnik began spouting out towards his troops to capture him. So was he on the Doctor’s side, or was he playing both sides? He just didn’t understand. Not to mention the deer. He remembered his horrified look on his face when his arrows only grazed him. It’s hard to think that he managed to take down Robtonik’s mechs, let along injury him so badly in the process. “ Yeah, what’s the best way to kill them?” He replied fairly dry. “Can’t keep them together, they can play off each-other’s strengths if they want, and exploit ours in the process. Dividing them is an obvious choice, but any pair off that isn’t one to one is something of a risk. Not to mention I’m unclear about that human guy. I mean, he got caught quick; but that radio feed I heard didn’t make much sense. One moment he’s helping the doc, the next I hear the boss yelling something about getting him. You got footage of the fight with Robotnik, right?” |

RE: Recovery Mission
"Yep." Rampage replied as he cued up the footage again, this time observing the Professor.
"From what I gathered when I met up with him, he's the Doc's grandfather or something. Probably from another reality; big shock there." Cuing up the video of Robotnik's talk with Gerald prior to Rampage's arrival, he was pleased to find audio logs to go along with the video. Clearly the professor was disagreed with Robotnik's methods and motivations. Unsurprisingly, Rose (the one he'd first met) almost blindly agreed with Robotnik, but big surprise there either. Frankly, Rampage didn't care that Robotnik used forced labour and the rest. Oppression bred discontent, discontent bred rebellion, and rebellion meant more battles for him. Win Win. But that aside, the strange part came when Gerald seemed to almost faint then take on a completely different attitude. "Huh, split personality disorder maybe?" Rampage mused thoughtfully. He wasn't a psychiatrist by any stretch, but he'd certainly heard of such things from one source or another. "Heh, guy's nuttier than Rose then if you can believe it. Frankly, I say we treat 'em as a threat just like the rest of 'em." "As for killing 'em. Splitting 'em up is obvious. The trick'll be finding a way to do so. Swat-bot's aren't good for much, but they are good at delaying and distractions. We give them a reason to split up and we send Swat-bots in to keep the others busy while we personally take one down at a time. The lizard would be the easiest to take out I think. No ranged capability, easy pickings for a shooter. The wolf, he'll be a bit trickier. Good ranged weapon, good close quarters. Greener than grass though. Inflate his ego, make him cocky, then lure him into a trap or ambush." |

RE: Recovery Mission
“ Leave the wolf to me. As long as I face his direction I can come in quick and slash him. But what about the deer?” He asked. “I know if I can get a place considerable drenched, he’ll have to worry about his allies if he wants to use that electricity.”
