Holiday Party: Foyer

Through the doorway into the foyer, the small anteroom is adorned with bright garlands wrapped elegantly around tall ionic marble columns which straddle an ornate oak door. Even the door itself rang with the yuletide feel with vibrant wreaths hung from the center.

Beyond the doors, a grand ballroom opened up, decked out with lavish decorations. Majestic columns rose up dozens of feet from the sides of the room, ending at the base of a arching dome above. Painted on the underside of the dome, a beautiful fresco depicted a startlingly beautiful starry sky and a sleepy city, steeped in its winter glory adorning the bottom edge of the dome. but high above, passing just by the gleaming moon a fabled, familiar old figure, riding a sleigh pulled by a team of noble reindeer streaked across the sky. Hanging down from the centre of the dome, an extremely ornate chandelier glistened with the light of dozens of candles whose light in turn was reflected and diffused by the myriad of twinkling glass ornaments and decorations.

At the centre of the room, a broad dance floor made with richly stained ebony wood ended on the far end with a colossal Christmas tree. By far this tree was the most lavishly decorated of them all. Tinsel, ornaments and garlands adorn every branch. And below, a pile of brightly coloured presents spread out from underneath the bows of the tree in all directions. to the outside edges of the room, tables and chairs set with impeccable style and flare provide a place for guests to sit and socialize while a long dining table to one side offers a plethora of foods, drinks and desserts for one to enjoy. All the while, soothing, festive music plays out over the large room.

“ FFFFFFffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff-”

It was pretty clear by how Rose’s shoulders were hunched and the way she held onto the invitation in front of her with both hands that she –wasn’t- a happy camper. She was not as dressed as some people might be. She was wearing a simple white collared that fitted her nicely, and a pair of black dress pants and shoes.

Her companion beside her, Tatsuhiro looked something like a train-wreck that’d had tried to clean up. Mainly because it was hard to make the guy look nice in the first place. He wore a blue fancy coat, with a white collared shirt underneath; and brown pants tucked into dress, knee-high boots. A black half-cap draped over his shoulders; helping to hide his wings underneath that folded over his arms acting like a cape themselves. His nails had been cut for the occasion, and his hair was slicked back. This made him look a lot creeper than before.

“ Why do we have to go to some stupid part, held by some stupid guy; who we don’t even know and is probably stupid?!!”

“Calm down.” Tatsu dully replied. “Robotnik told you specifcly not to get all worked up.”

She turned her head sharply at him with anger on her face. “Calm down?! Calm Down?!?!?! How they hell am I supposed to do that when I have to go to some lame pary and deal with people!?!?!?” She looked to the right, with her shoulders up even more. “And considering it said to not cause any fights it’s going to be people I REALLY hate.”

Tatsu sighed. It was going to be a long night….

[Cornelius]

He could hear Topaz’s shouting behind him, but didn’t pay any mind. Too many people to deal with, and at the other side it didn’t seem like anyone was there. That was until he got closer. He had to stop briefly in his tracks when he heard and all too familiar voice.

“You- You are such a kill joy!!”

Topaz had finally caught up with him, panting a little from the short sprint she had just done. But when she had gotten there, she looked at Cornelius curiously. He looked stumped, something she’d never seen before. And made her curios at to what had done it.

[Gravitos Imperium]

Gravitos made his entry and was instantly taken in by the beauty of this place. There wasn't many people in here and it was rather enjoyable. A sneer suddenly fixed on his face as his violet eyes came across Nel.

"That face, where do I know that from?" he pondered to himself. Something about the man didn't sit right with him. It slightly irritated him as he knew no fights would ensue here. Deciding to be friendly for once, he approached him and Topaz.

"Hey. he said with an akward smile. " You guys enjoying the party?" he went on to ask. He always hated introductions and he was never too good with them in the first place.
