Holiday Party: Front Driveway and Entry Hall

[Tech Rathgen]

Quote:"I...suppose," "Otherwise why would I come out here and dress up so nice?" "My name is Giichi by the way. What's yours?"

I look at the tux of the small sand cat, a nice dark red tux. I search his eyes for a second as I listen to Giichi speak. I'm not too sure about the hesitation and I can tell he feels nervous around me. I listen to what he says next and the laugh makes me smile at him. I hear him say his name and I nod my head to him.

Quote: "Giichi! You old pocket-picker! Fancy seeing you here."

Then I see a reindeer look Giichi's way and make his response. I look at Chadin and smile his way in a forced manner. I don't know what my face looks like as I look at Chadin, yet my smile seems more like a snear than anything. It annoys me to hear the reindeer, yet I hope I don't come off as strong. I try to alleviate the situation and make my smile as real as possible. "I like the Rudolph costume. It makes you look cute."

I turn to Giichi and wonder what it would be like to handcuff him right now, yet I don't let on that I want to do it. I hope he doesn't laugh at my name. I know my name is a little weird, yet I can't help that. My family do have weird names after all. Oh, I hope he doesn't laugh when I tell him my name.

I smile in a nervous fashion as I respond. "My name is ... Tech ... Rathgen."

[Giichi Twinkieland]

Giichi thought it was odd how Tech seemed a little detached from the festive surroundings, as if she had some sort of agenda for being here beyond having fun. But the host had promised no one would be allowed to show hostilities here (no matter who showed up), so he did his best to relax.

She said her name in a rather slow manner too. So it was Tech, huh? Like technical support? That was a real weird first name. But he decided not to poke fun at it.

Then Chadin walked straight over, looking amazingly out of place dressed up as Rudolph. Apparently most guests had assumed this was a formal party, Giichi included. The cat actually had to wipe his eyes a few times, as he simply couldn't believe what he was seeing before his eyes. Never in a million years would he have expected someone as serious as Chadin (at least from their time infiltrating Robotropolis) to dress up in such a way.

It was so bizarre he actually missed completely that he'd been called a sneak thief in front of everybody here.

"Chadin! What is that?!" he burst out laughing...but then caught sight of his dark red crimson suit. "Well...red isn't exactly a conventional tuxedo color either. But I like red a lot. Speaking of unconventional colors..."

He caught sight of Twilight in the back, wearing a powder blue suit. Now that took the cake. He thought about pointing out the color, but then realized this guy was kind of alone. And...he had bat wings on his back...even though he looked like a dog. Deciding not to taunt on either count, he quickly addressed Twighlight.

"Oh, I'm sorry! I think everyone missed you. Giichi Twinkieland. What's your name?"

He held out a hand to shake.

[Chadin]

Now I started to feel a bit awkward again after Giichi laughed. I can't say I really blame him for it though. "Believe me, Giichi, this get-up WASN'T exactly MY idea..." I huffed with embarrassment, giving a venomous glare out the computer monitor toward the REAL devious fiend, gleefully typing away at his computer with a mischievous grin. [Thus SHATTERING the fourth wall...]

I glanced over to see Twilight myself once Giichi mentioned him. "Huh? Oh, uh... Hi, my name's Chadin.

[Chadin: I WILL get you for this!!!]

[Steven: Oh hush, it's Christmas, lighten up! Besides, you can't do anything to me anyway.]

[Chadin: Don't make me turn Jodie on you!]

[Steven: (nervously) You wouldn't dare!]

[Chadin: Try me, computer boy!]

[Twilight]

Twilight was always shy when meeting people at first. That being said, he simply watched the party go-ers interacting. He found himself staring off into space for a bit. Suddenly, his large bat ears perked up and he snapped awake from his mental trance as Giichi adressed him. He looked up at the tan sand cat, noticing the two both had strange colors for suits. The wolfbat liked the sky blue color just like he assumed the cat liked crimson.

His attention was than brought to Chadin, his appearance rather strange looking. He quickly shrugged any commets off knowing he looked silly as well.

"The name's Twilight, a pleasure to meet you both." he replied with a friendly smile as he shook Giichi's hand, exchanging looks between the two.

[Tech Rathgen]

I don't know what to do about all this. I hear someone say that their name is Twilight. Then I hear a pleasure to meet you both. You both? Twilight? I look around for the owner of the voice for a little bit, then I remember that Giichi is two feet smaller than I am - maybe shorter. My ears takes a feed of the voice and it repeats in my mind - my ears move like a sattelite dish and it looks around. A pleasure to meet you both?

I sniff the air and the cold air takes it all in. I can smell something strange about this creature. It has an aroma of a wolf, yet there is something else altogether. I sniff again and my mind seems to go haywire. I can smell a bat as well. I sniff again and it is becomes a combination of the two. This is strange. I look down a little bit and survey the landscape. I see a creature that looks like a wolf, yet also has bat qualities. It is scary and it does remind of something that would be more Halloween than Christmas like. I take in the wolf bat. I allow my eyes to take him in. The bat wings are strange with the mix of the wolf.

It doesn't look like to be a threat, so I have to allow him in. I want to say something to him, yet I wonder whether or whether not I should. You both? Pleasure to meet you both? My name is Twilight? I don't do anything for a little while. I don't mind to be the relic or the statue. There are times when I look so plain that no one notices me. I have blue eyes, yet that is all. I'm the most plain looking fox in this whole four people talking arena. What should I do? What should I do? I guess I should become a statue. Who would notice a white statue as plain as me anyway?

I decide to close myself from the world and just listen to them talk. I whisper silently to myself, yet I can't even hear myself. I guess I can take the role of the statue. I don't move and I don't speak. The only thing in the least bit visable is my breathing.

A thought comes to my mind... Be the statue you were born to be.

[Giichi Twinkieland]

Giichi burst out laughing as he watched Chadin gazing off into the distance to his creator.

"You should let Nathan take the reins if Steven would let him. Nathan treats me a lot better. He gave me a Ferrari!"

Giichi gave a smile and nod to his own creator through his laptop screen. Nathan nodded back. However, a frown slightly crossed the cat's face.

"I wish I could get to drive it more, but Nathan doesn't think that'd make interesting roleplay."

The cat resumed speaking to the party guests.

"So, Twilight, how about your player?"

He couldn't help but notice Tech seemed to be staring off into space all of a sudden. It felt rather odd with how much she'd been interested in him before. The cat gently tugged her arm.

"Tech? You okay?"

[Chadin]

"I think she's just being shy?" I mused, looking down at her. "Sheesh, and I thought I was bad around new people."

"So, uh... Twilight was it? Mixed parents I assume? Nothing to be ashamed off. I knew a lot of couples that were mixed breeds back where I'm from. Usually the kids ended up adopting the traits of one parent or the other, not both, but still. Nothing to be ashamed of."

[Chadin: Hey, why DON'T I have a Ferrari?]

[Steven: Are you KIDDING?! Do you have any idea how expensive those things are?]

[Chadin: I'M A FICTITIOUS CHARACTER!!]

[Steven: What? You think imaginary money grows on imaginary trees?]

[Chadin: ......]

[Twilight]

Twilight glanced at the deer upon his question.

"Yup. Father is a wolf and mother's a bat. Don't ask me how I'm not too mutated." he said with a luagh. His lughing further increased as Giichi mentioned how his player was.

"My player huh? Gregory is a man of vast potential who was nice enough not to give me my murderous night form for this party." he said with a hearty smile. He gave his creator a thumbs up to which the man smiled gleefully through his girlfriend's laptop. "I'm also glad he gave me cool increased smelling and hearing plus night vision and a pair of pretty badass wings. Happy he gave me an actual friendly personality too. His other two creations wouldn't step foot in here." he pointed out, glancing over at Terrador and Gravitos wherever they were and twitching his wings as he mentioned them. Finally getting tedious about how awesome his creator was, his attention was brought to Tech who appeared lost in her own thoughts.

"Tech huh? Interesting name. I'm sorry if I missed you. Sometimes Gregory can be a bit absent minded." he pointed out, giving the mulatto man a glare. Greg simply ignored the glare and continued with his post so he can carry on to other forums.

[Chadin]

"Nice. My player made me a pretty good marksman and gave good hearing too. Probably not as good as a bat mind you. Of course, with his sense of humour, I'm surprised he hasn't tried to play off that whole 'deer-caught-in-a-headlight' thing."

[Oh... just wait... MWUH-HA-HAH-HA....]

"Sigh... me and my big mouth..." I groaned.

[Steven: Way to go, Chadin. Now they're ALL breaking the fourth wall.]

[Chadin: Pfft, it's all imaginary right?]

[Steven: I... shutup

[Tech Rathgen]

I look down at Twilight after Giichi gives me a wake up call. "I thank you for the chance to be acknowledged. I will admit that I was thinking of leaving due to I thought I wouldn't be noticed. Still I think it is sweet of you to look as you do. Twilight is a name that suits you just perfect. I didn't ever see a wolfbat before and I think this is a first for me. I will admit, that I did think it was a costume more suitable for Halloween, yet I can see now that this the real you. I love the bat wings, I love the wolf tail, I love the bat ears, and I just love it all. Despite that your parents were a bat and a wolf I assume, I can tell that you would stand out in the right environment. An environment like this may be right, yet I'd say your body makes a perfect Halloween Costume. It is amazing that you look like that. Twilight, you look so cool. I'm sorry I didn't acknowledge you before."
