The Road to Pittsdam

RE: The Road to Pittsdam
Topaz gave him a nod. “Yeah, I can do that.” With that, she turned around and was off to make sure that there would be no other problems.

The weasel heard the commotion that was happening below him and looked down. But instead of feeling vertigo was feeling a lot of fear from the man who was catching up with him. He immediately started his climb again, faster than before. He gritted his teeth. This wasn’t going to end so soon.

Nel silently cursed to himself as soon as he saw the weasel moving again. He liked being an imposing figure till someone else’s adrenaline rush kicked in. While Nel had been climbing up fast, the Weasel was now going much faster than him. He tried to speed himself up, but it would do much good as far as the speed distance goes. And the Weasel was just about to hit the top of the building.

RE: The Road to Pittsdam
As Syhrus approached the alley, he noticed a crowd starting to form at it's entrance. Still, since none of them seemed to actually want to GO into the alley, he easily made his way to the front.

What he saw was a man on a fire escape, and... two anthropomorphic animals.

"Dang it, I'm in an anthro universe, of all the- and it's a long term mission, too, could take decades for all I know, *siiiiiiiiiiighh*. Welp," he said, collecting himself, "might as well get used to it. It's gonna be kinda hard to take them seriously at first, though."

He redirected his attention to the scene. 'Okay,' he thought, 'A chase...' He sighed dejectedly. 'That makes it SO much harder to find out who the good guys are, just great! Well, nothin' to do now but see how it unfolds. What a perfect start to a perfect mission.' he thought, starting to get seriously irritated.

RE: The Road to Pittsdam
Twilight continued on, travelling at his fullest speed. He had no idea where he was going nor did he care for that matter. His wings ached horribly, but never for a second did he even consider slowing down.

"I must keep moving " The wolfbat continuously told himself

RE: The Road to Pittsdam
The chao had managed to catch up to Nel' by this point, tagging him on the back.

[Conversion]

The chao's body took on a bright glow for a moment as he registered the human's DNA. When the glow faded, the chao's skin had become bright red, the top of his head now fashioned to resemble his temporary partner's do. It let out a sprited shout, zooming up the ladder as he attempts to sucker punch the weasel.

Tutley was muttering to himself as he rose about halfway up the ladder. It appeared he was ranting about how he needs to tune up the backpack's rotors; as it appeared they hadn't been tuned up in a while.

The weasel was just at the top of the ladder when he heard the shout coming from the chao. He looked down to see it coming in and reacted. Still holding onto the ladder, he lifted his body up so that the chao’s hit would miss; and then proceeded to bring both feet down upon the little chao’s head.

Meanwhile, thanks to the weasel stopping again, Cornelius was gaining distance.

Syhrus noticed the situation elevating, quite literally, so he ran to the ladder and hopped on himself. He started to climb, but not nearly as fast or as frantic as those above him. He was still sore, after all.

'Might as well train up on my empath skills a bit while trying to grasp the situation,' he thought. 'Let's see, fear and despereration in the chasee and determination in the chasers. ... That tells me nothing. Screw it, just climb faster!'

(Okay, I'm a bit swamped on how to progress with this character. Perhaps I shall wait to post until we do some sort of time skip. I guess I'm inactive until the sun sets lol.)

(Roger. Feel free to jump back in at a point you find suitable.)

The chao had a wide eyed look as he missed, letting out a loud squeal as a pair of feet met his head, sent tumbling downwards through the air as he let out a lengthy shout in the form of its name. Before the artificial being landed in the dumpster below, Tutley caught the little guy, the momentum sending him lower in the air again. The dizzy chao looked up to it's owner, momentarily dazed, its antenna in the form of a spiral. "YOU!", the turtle would growl out as he gave a deathglare up at the escaping weasel. "No one, and I mean no one lays a hand on my buddy!", he roared out, ascending once more with a determined scowl on his face. Should he actually reach the top with the weasel still concious, he would be more than willing to fix that with his hammer...

His rage was all consuming at the moment; not even noticing the person that had just passed him by on the ladder. All he could think about now was the mental image of his hammer landing cross the weasel's face in slow motion in retribution.

RE: The Road to Pittsdam
(Well, I wanted someone else to take him down since Nel pwned everyone else; but quite frankly I want to start getting to the good stuff. I’ll be sure to make the next fights better than this one; but to be honest, it was meant to be more of a opener for the –real- trouble.)

The Weasel might have heard the shouting below as he finally hopped onto the surface of the roof, but he wasn’t paying too much attention now. He was more or less happy that his feet were on a solid surface for him to escape too. Sure, it meant roof-hopping, but the Weasel could deal with that. Not to mention he figured that the human who was trailing behind him so close would lose his speed once he got back up.

Or least that’s what he thought. What he wasn’t expecting was Cornelius’s anger to produce his own adrenaline rush. There was just a short distance between him and the weasel as he got to the top of the ladder; and he made well sure that he got his feet on the roof as fast as possible and made a straight sprint towards the anthro. And with the speed he was at, he tackled himself into him; making sure to grab the little weasel all the while turning to land hard on his back (without hitting his head). It was a tough fall, but he’d delt with worse.

Nel moved his arms quickly to get a headlock on the weasel as he struggled; turning over to pin the guy down with his weight.

RE: The Road to Pittsdam
Syhrus was just beginning to overtake the turtle, a feat he was surprised took the effort it did, when something came flying by his head.

"Jee-eez!" Syhrus cryed out, barely shifting out of the way of the unidentified plummeting object. The turtle then yelled out in rage, surprising Syhrus enough that he had to fumble for his grip for a second.

He was nearing the last few rungs when he heard a loud scuffling noise on the rooftop. 'Good, the chase is over,' thought Syhrus, 'now to see who's who, and, more importantly, if I'm too late.' The pursuer in red from earlier had caused him particular worry. The almost animalistic way he climbed... for all Syhrus knew, he could be throttling the other guy up there.
