The Road to Pittsdam

RE: The Road to Pittsdam
“What?” Nel soon replied sounding a little dumbfounded as he turned over to look at Tutley. “ What, do I –look- like a fat egotistical mechanic?!” he fumed as he pointed his thumb at him.

“No, but you are egotistical for sure.” Topaz sarcastically replied as she looked over towards him.

“Oh, so when did you take classes in sarcasm?”

The weasel was feeling the pressure. He was official outnumbered, and fairly quick too. Suddenly the lizard’s idea of running away seemed like a pretty damn good idea. He darted from the turned over table and over to the nearest exist; the back door where the bar was.

This caught Topaz by surprise, as she was paying more attention to Cornelius rather than the weasel. While she attempted to shoot, her shots would be behind him instead of in front of him to stop him escaping.

RE: The Road to Pittsdam
The sheild Tutely deployed cuased Twilight to slow down for a second. After realizing it cuased no harm, he continued his pursuit. He quickly found his way outside where the lizard was nowhere to be found. He could've easily tracked his scent but the scum wasn't even a threat.

With a sigh of defeat, he headed back to the group. Nel's shouting could be heard through his bat ears. Than suddenly a gumshots! He stopped in his tracks not wanting to barge in on a gunfight. Than again, this sheild would protect him from harm. With a shrug, he hurried back into the room

Tutley would pause for a moment at Nel's reaction. Given he wasn't as fat as his father; but still. He let out a sigh, lowering his head, suffering from a mild headache. It was going to take a while to get used to the fact Nel' wasn't his like his robotic amusement park loving dad. The gunshots would snap him back into attention though, catching a glimpse of the weasel escaping. "Hey buddy, drop the gun!", he would shout out as he hopped over the counter in pursuit. He had a feeling this guy might have more information to spill than the human his companion had downed earlier.

RE: The Road to Pittsdam
[ Oh no! Gumshots! O: Sorry, couldn’t help myself to that typo. XD ]

The Weasel paided no heed to Tutley pursuing him. He ran down the side alley of the building. And without stopping as he got to the back alley turned and fired off two shots at his pursers. Afterwards he would face forward and continue on as he would start climbing the fire-escape the nearby building and fast.

Cornelius, looking a little surprised by the gun shots, followed the turtle in suit; as well as Topaz, who was greatly behind them all. Though he might have been athletically fast, there would be no doubt that the weasel would be much faster; but Tutley would have a much better shot at it than Nel would.

Twilight made his entrance, finding himself alone. The place emptied out quick when all the commotion started. He sat in a random seat and looked outside the window. He let out a long sigh as he saw the sun slowly making its way down. He got to hs feet, where he headed for the counter. Grabbing a peice of paper and a pen.

"Hey guys, if you're reading this, I headed out for the night. I give you my best regards and we shall regroup in the morning." The wolfbat wrote down. He placed the letter on the table they sat prior. He stepped outside and with a mighty flap of his wings, he took off into the late afternoon sky.

Tutley lept forwards as the weasel turned to fire, ducking into his shell and in turn deflecting one of the bullets. This however sent him rolling backwards a few feet before he could recover and get moving forwards again, his foe nearly finished climbing the ladder to escape by the time Tutley got there. He saw only one option at this point, and that was to slam his hammer into the ladder itself in an attempt to shake the weasel free.

RE: The Road to Pittsdam
The weasel was almost up to the top of the short building before Tutley’s hammer came down on the ladder. Weasel was very shocked by this action (Cursing out while it happened), as for a second he was falling backwards due to the large shake. But he let go of his gun, for fear of his life, as he flapped himself back up where he locked his arms on one edge of the ladder; his legs following suit. For now, he stopped his climbing for fear of falling off the ladder.

Nel finally caught up with Tutley after he had banged his hammer against the metal fire escape and without stopping from his sprint he jumped onto the ladder. His legs worked quickly to find the bar beneath them as he started to climb up very fast.

As he was scurrying up, Topaz came round the bend looking shocked at how fast Cornelius could move. But she looked down to see the Weasel’s gun, and picked it up for safe keeping.

RE: The Road to Pittsdam
Syhrus walked into the little town, happy to see a settlement.

The HQ's methods for getting it's agents into foreign universes was quite... crude at best. To the best of Syhrus's minimalist understanding of it, the agents were essentially 'shot' out of a sort of rift-cannon through the 'fourth wall' of any particular universe and... that's about all he understood before the talk involved a lot of technical terms that went way over his head.

In any event, the rift opened in the sky several miles out from this town and he came through at who-knows-how-many kilometers per hour before crashing into the ground, protected only by a rudimentary drop-pod and some of the HQ's mages' mumbo-jumbo.

That was a few hours ago, and he still ached from the crash. That and walking a couple of miles did nothing to better his mood. An intact town though, that was promising. His last universe had seen some kind of great plague or war before he had gotten there, he was a little fuzzy on the details.

He shook his head, "No, no, no. No thinking about THAT mission. I don't want to jinx myself." Then he stretched his aching back and realized a commotion that had been going on in some alley. "Well, gotta get my bearings from somewhere," he said to himself with a shrug and headed in the direction of the alley. "Wonder what this place has in store for me?"

(Well, he'll be off doing his own thing. Even so, Twilight the character won't be around for too long lol.)

Up in the skies, Twilight continued his flight. Inner conflict literally began to dwell inside him.

"It is foolish to flee, wolfbat." A deep, demonic vpice spoke inside his head.

Twilight went on at full speed, ignoring the voice in his head.

"Your new friends smell tasty. I will enjoy making them suffer." It said, attempting to bring annoyance to its other self.

"Once I find a way to stop you like I did before, your reign of teror will end." Twilight simply spoke, showing no intimidation. It seemed he regained control of his thoughts for the voice had been scilenced. Perhaps he should have warned his allies beforehand, a choice he hoped he wouldn't regret.

RE: The Road to Pittsdam
Tutley moved back as Nel' charged the ladder, scrambling up. From what he could tell... he had this one. He was still taken aback somewhat with just how fast the guy was; just where did he train to move so quickly? Still, he figured it wouldn't hurt to ensure he would be okay up there; that weasel was a crafty one. He would whistle in the door's direction, the chao inside the bar quickly following the sound. "Go help Nel', I'll be right behind you!", he shouted to the chao as he pointed up at Nel' scrambling up the ladder. T.J. nodded and flew up the side of the building, hovering just underneathe him.

"Topaz, think you can watch over the situation in the bar until the town guard or town watch or whatever shows up?", he would ask as he knocked on the side of his backpack twice, a pair of rotor blades emerging from the top. As they spun to life, Tutley's feet would leave the ground, slowly accelerating towards the roof. He would note that most of the patrons inside the inn had exited, probably forming a crowd outside.
