RE: The Road to Pittsdam
The mad doctor never had a negative impact on Twilight, so Nelius being his son wasn't a bother to him. Nel was. Even thought the the doctor was evil, his offspiring seemed different. The wolfbat was pretty sure if Nel was anything like his father, he wouldn't be here.
Things came to an akward scilence as he finished his bowl of fruit. He hardly touched his steak. Meat wasn't his favorite thing anymore no thanks to his "other self." He simply stared blankly at it before exchanging looks between his comrades. |

RE: The Road to Pittsdam
Finishing up his first plate, he would look up to Nel' amidst the silence. "I can see why you'd not want to bring up the issue... I apologize for my rudeness earlier. It's just... hard not to rag on the guy.", he would say crossing his arms in thought. He would scritch his chin in thought about the earlier comment on his laptop. Just how well did his stuff complare to the doctor's? For now, he found himself content to dive into plate number two, deciding to show the footage after everyone had had their fill.

RE: The Road to Pittsdam
He swallowed another bite of his sandwich before replying. “Pfff, I rag on him all the time. Like how I dubbed him the King of Ostriches.”
Topaz gave him another weird look. “What? How did you come to that?” She asked. “Because, he’s had those spindly legs and a huge body. Granted, his neck was short; but I supposed that what made him the King.” He took another fairly large drink and another bite. The next sentence was in a very mocking tone of someone reading from something considered holy. “ ‘And lou did he walk through the lands as the Struthio* looked up and marveled at his height without a neck, and they did behold they’re savior-‘” Topaz had tried to hold back her laughter, but after a few ‘snirks’ got out she needed up bursting; covering her mouth with her hand. She didn’t know why, but she had found Nel’s joke to be very funny. She practically began imagining the entire scene play out in her head. Oh, how she felt incredibly stupid for laughing. "-I'll only accept him as my Ostriches lord and savior who shall guide us all to the promise land when he beats me outside of a mech." Without cracking a smile with his own joke he started to finish off the last of his meal. [* The genus that they ostriches belong to. Also http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nr8r09c8o...re=related ] |

RE: The Road to Pittsdam
Twilight took a couple more bites outta his steak before pushing it aside. He listened to Nel's mockery of Robotnik and he couldn't help but chuckle. The whole thing was being played out in his mind. He was holding himself back from exploding with luaghter and Topaz's outburst didn't help any. Nevertheless, he only let out fairly sized chuckles. He cleared his throat to cease his chuckling and still had a bit of a momentary smile fixed on his muzzle.

RE: The Road to Pittsdam
The turtle would swallow down another mouthful of food as Nel' went on to give a rather amusing comedy routine. He would stare for a moment afterwards , covering his mouth. "Mmph.....", he muffled, turning his head to the side, trying not to let was welling up loose, failing miserably as he breaks into a gut busting laugh that filled the resturant. He bent over the table, holding the part of his shell that covered his chest laughing uncontrollably. A tear or two was visable outside his closed eyes, the turtle suffocating for a few moments on his own laughter. It was clear that eggman jokes amused him to no end. About twenty seconds would pass before he finally regained control of himself, putting his left arm on his hip, catching his breath. "Ah.... you... your all right..", he would say half out of breath. He'd clear his throat for a moment, his eyes glancing left, then right at the few momentary looks he got from some of the other diners. Even the chao, who had finished his fruit was staring at him awkwardly.

RE: The Road to Pittsdam
[Hmm, begs the question if that jokes was really funny at all.]
“Hm, That’s exactly what the hedgehog said.” He replied, taking another drink. Topaz’s eyes lightened up. “Hedgehog? Do you mean Sonic?” “ Yeah. The old guy isn't too bad-” “Old?!” Nel gave her a non-amusing look. He couldn’t really nag her about it; she didn’t come from his dimension. “ Yeah. He’s like, thirty something. He’s not –old-old- or anything. I just call him old.” This seemed fairly surprising to Topaz. She would have thought somehow they would end up as mortal enemies. But imagining Nel and Sonic as friends was just alien. Like seeing Sonic and Eggman as friends. She would have thought that he would have some sort of resentment- “-I’ll kick his scrawny ass one of these days.” He retorted somewhat bitterly as he set his bottom on the table while looking off to the right. She thought too soon. There must have been a ‘hedgehog dislike gene’ somewhere in the family. --- As the group would talk, they might notice a group of five entering the room; walking start over towards the bar where the badger bartender was polishing a few glasses. Two humans, three anthros. One was a spindly red weasel, another was a brown bear, and a lizard looking guy. One of the humans was very spindly with shaggy, unkempt brown hair while the other was a little stout and very muscular; a bandana on his head. The group appeared to look very punkish, which might unsettle some of the visitors. But they didn’t seem to make much of a commotion walking in; they were all silent. |

RE: The Road to Pittsdam
Twilight looked at Nel with both confusement and astonishment. He had heard of the famous Sonic many times, and he would never imagine the blue blur allying himself with Robotnik's son. But, anything was possible with how messed up the dimensions were.
His bat ears suddenly perked up at the sound of the door opening. He twisted his body slightly to see the group of five. He always liked to know the whereabouts of people and if anyone new showed up. They didn't seem to pose a threat, so the wolfbat quickly shrugged their pressence off. |

RE: The Road to Pittsdam
Tutley looked rather intrigured at the fact that Nel' was friendly enemies with Sonic in his timeline. "Goes to show you anything; and any fate is possible.", he thought to himself with a smile as he pulled up the last plate of food. He was nearly finished when the group walked in, slowly turning his head in their direction. They had a fairly peculiar type of clothing, even by his standards. He'd keep an eye on them for the moment; one part suspicious, the other part intrigued.

RE: The Road to Pittsdam
[ Okay guys, fair warning. I have –never- done NPC’s like this. So if my posts lack or seem cheese, please do not be discouraged. In fact, you can help with this if you want Tutely as ‘ I iz afraid’. >_<]
Nel looked like he wasn’t paying attention, but he’d manage to see them out of the corner of his eye; not to mention he could hear the groups walking foot steps. And Topaz was watching intently with curious eyes as she tried to finish her sandwich. The group walked right up to the bar, with the weasel gaining up in front. He hopped onto one of the bar stools and looked over at the bartender. “Yo, barkeep! Drink.” Perhaps it was the obvious, boasting ego and the fact that all of them didn’t look like highly respectable citizens. Whatever the case was, the Badger didn’t look particularly happy with them. “You payin’ customers?” He asked, with a very stern voice. Smoothly the weasel pulled a gun right out of jacket, pointing it at the barkeeper. “We don’t need to pay.” The weasel replied, as the rest of the gang-members chuckled lowly as the barkeep immediately put his hands out in front of him . Anyone would have been able to hear it. Nel’s expression hardened while Topaz had a look of angry surprise. She was about to move before Nel spoke up. “Don’t. Move.” He commanded in a hushed tone. “These idiots won’t do anything unless someone does something stupid; so let’s all stay calm and keep an element of surprise…” Topaz seemed hesitate. It was clear she wanted to get up and intervene, but at the same time she felt that Nel had a point. Slowly, hopping to not draw any attention, Nel reached over to his back and carefully got the gun out of his belt. Marking sure it wouldn’t be seen by using the backing of the chair, he would bring it over to his lap. He rested his left arm on the table and leaned forward a bit, holding out the gun towards her under the table. |

RE: The Road to Pittsdam
Twilight's ears perked up again at the sound of their voices. By the tone, it didn't sound good. The click of the gun cuased him to look over with fear in his eyes. There was nothing he can do and he simply remained motionless, hoping things wouldn't get ugly.
