RE: The Road to Pittsdam
"Other town?", the turtle would ask Topaz, his intrest piqued for the moment. He would come back to the issue later though, priority one was assessing the state of the planet he was on. Tutley would take a glance around at the various buildings as he responded to her question. "Well, anywhere where I can sit down and concentrate for a few minutes without heavy distraction would be fine. A resturant, lounge, hotel...", he would say looking to his backpack, his mind wandering. "Signal transmission won't be much of a problem with the tech I'm packing.", he'd say with a bit of pride in his voice. His custom made laptop was the envy of his classmates at the academy, after all. "But I suppose a hotel or inn will do; you guys look like you could use a break.", he would say as he pointed clearly at Twilight, right index finger waggling up and down.
His chao was mostly just listening in on the conversation for now, though he wound up emulating the turtles finger waggle with his right hand. Everyone's favorite hyperactive turtle from the future! Current Shield Set: Blast, Fire, Water, Lightning, Light |

RE: The Road to Pittsdam
‘Rest?’ That didn’t sound very good to him. He’d hardly done anything today.
“Getting a room now would probably be a good idea.” Topaz began, looking over towards Tutley. “The sooner we get a map, the sooner we can find a major city; and the sooner we find out what’s going on.” The consensus was going against him. He grunted under his breath. Well, if he was going to give in then it better have something in it for him. And while he may not have been tired, he –was- hungry. “And maybe eat. Food is always good…” Folding his arms he looked off too the side- to notice he was getting some curious looks. And not the good kind. It was then he realized he was still wearing the cuffs. He could have cursed under his breath at the moment but stayed silent as the woman’s voice caught his attention. “I see a little inn over there. Perhaps we can get a room there.” She was ignoring him, as she walked straight past him and towards the direction of the small inn on the left side of the road that was just a little ways down the street. With it’s light, earthy bricks and pleasant vines that hung from the flower beds it was quaint. The sign that hung over the door was wooden, and carved to read ‘The Black Ebony Inn’; painted in black. |

RE: The Road to Pittsdam
Twilight raised an eyebrow at the turtle as he was pointed to. He simply shrugged it off and focused on what to do next. With Nelius' mention of food, the wolfbat realized how hungry he was. He hadn't eaten since the following night and he wanted to get the taste of his last meal out of his mouth. He breifly felt his muzzle to see if he had any leftovers still clinging to him considering how difficult it was to get rid of.
He glanced over to where Topaz was heading and noticed the comfy looking Inn. He had a strong feeling there was gonna be food and a place to rest. "I agree with her and I can pitch in a bit." He pointed out as he trailed behind her. His "other self" sometimes had a tendency to he a theif and Twilight always had plenty of money to spend. |

RE: The Road to Pittsdam
"I agree.", Tutley would say as he began follow Topaz towards the nearby inn, his hands behind the back of his shell as he strolled down the cobblestone walkway. "A brief satalite scan would only give a general overview of the lay of the land and major landmarks. A actual map would let me fill in the blanks... at least around here.", he would say crossing his arms with a nod.
Tutley would take a whiff of the air outside the inn, the scent of coffee strong. "I could do for some civilized food as well; after all me and my friend here have been foraging in the great forest the last week or so. I can pay my share of the bill as well.", he would say knowing that if he spotted anything chocolate, he was bound to go overboard. As he approached the doors leading into the inn, Tutley would turn his head in the direction of his backpack, "Computer. Commense orbital scan for accessable satalites. Security level 3 and below please." Tutley had little idea that this might be seen as strange though; from his time vocal computer comnunication was a common habit. RE: The Road to Pittsdam
As they walked inside the inn, they would notice just how very classy it appeared. The walls were dawned in dark red, with white crown moldings that appeared to be very fancy. The floors were a dark wood, that looked glossy and various paintings line with gold trim adorned the walls. There were two archways, one to the right which you could see a staircase and one to the left; where it appeared to be tables and chairs and a bar.
The woman at the desk would be silently jarring, as she appeared to be very simple and plain compared to the grandeur of the small place. She appeared to be a raccoon, who might have been within her early forties. As she heard the sound of the group moving in she looked to be somewhat surprised. “Ah, hallo!” She silently exclaimed. “You new ‘round here?” Topaz walked up to the desk, placing her hands on the desk’s surface. “Yes. We were wondering if we could get a room.” By that point Nelius wasn’t paying attention. Instead his attention was to the creamed-colored room on his left. More importantly, his attention was on the bar. It may have been considered early, but considering his week he wasn’t in the mood to care. Then again, he wasn’t regularly in the mood to care. He then looked over at Tutely, seeing what he was doing. He looked over the computer he carried. “That’s an old piece of fossil.” He said, sounding somewhat snobby. |

RE: The Road to Pittsdam
As he stepped inside, Twilight's mind was lost in how fancy this place was. He had gotten accustomed to the dingy interior of the apartment he inhabited for three years. He smiled to himself acknowledging the great change in things.
His ears perked up and he snapped out of his mental trance at the sound of Tutley's voice. First that hoverboard he rode transformed into that backpack, not it seemed to be some kind of advanced computer. The wolfbat shrugged this confuion off as he realized anything was possibe nowadays. He was rather fond of that backpack and breifly glared at 'Nelius upon his comment. "Well, personally, I rather like the thing." He told the two of them. |

RE: The Road to Pittsdam
Tutley would take a look around the lobby and find himself rather pleed with the state of the inn. It really did seem that things were all right for now since the event. He would look to Nel, his beak partly upturned for a fraction of a second as he heard the "f" word, and his tech mentioned in the same sentence. His eyes would be wide open during this fraction, giving Nel the equivalent of a death glare. "Did he just... say what I thought he did?!", his inner self roared inside his head. He was rather... passonate about his creations, almost obsessivly so at times. But he would let this one pass, taking it as a joke upon second lookover. On the outside, he would forcefully correct his expression, and clear his throat. "Ahem. It's capable of doing a lot more than you think, and then some.", he would say as he tapped the side of his backpack twice. A slot would appear along the side, the turtle's actual turqoise blue laptop neatly sliding out. "It looks simple, but... looks can be deceiving.", he'd add with a grin.

RE: The Road to Pittsdam
Nel raised a brow. ‘A techie, great’ He sighed in his mind. His expression showed that he was un-amused by Tutely’s comment. Though it did make him wonder.
The people around him seemed to know Dr. Robotnik. And when he said know, it wasn’t the kind like the old veterans of the Fighters who ragged on about the old days. No, no it appeared to him that they thought of him as more present; and not six feet under wherever his wonderful caretaker had done with the body. And the fact that they had indentified him by voice only made it more concrete. Secondly, he realized that there seemed to be no Specter influence whatsoever. And that the technology was much older that what he was used too. He halfy bet that Tutley’s computer didn’t have a Matrix Core or even know what it is. If that’s so, then that would mean that somehow he was in the past. But it wasn’t as simple as time he gathered. Things were just…out of place. Even with everything appearing normal, something was wrong. Very wrong “Okay, I got it.” Topaz said, as she walked back over towards the group with two room keys in hand. “The lady said that the room to the left is their restaurant. So do we eat or go up to the rooms?” Being snapped out of his thoughts he turned his head towards Topaz. “Food’s always good.” he replied dully as he folded his arms. |

RE: The Road to Pittsdam
Twilight watched the reaction of his two comrades. The turtle appeared to love his creations and Nelius didn't seem to care at all. The wolfbat just simply watched the backpack with fascination. He had never seen such a thing before.
As Topaz apprached the group and mentioned food, the group may hear a deep rumble surfacing from the crossbreed's stomach. He gave a slightly emberassed chuckle as he pat his belly. "I say we eat first." He suggested. He also preffered not to have an oversized appetite for when the sun set. |

RE: The Road to Pittsdam
"Man, this guy's a bummer at times...", the turtle thought to himself, his chao showing the expression the turtle was thinking, his antenna taking on the form of a spiral with his eyes lowered in an annoyed expression as he looks to Nel'. Twilight's stomache rumble would bring the pair to attention though, Tutley giving a momentary laugh. "Well, thats majority vote, let's go eat!", exclaiming as he starts to stroll off towards the resturant. He was drooling a little in the mouth, not having had access to meat or being able to sate his sweet tooth for a while. For a anthro species that can go days without truely needing to eat, turtles can have... a rather voratious appitite when the opportunity presents itself. He would look back to the group for a moment, a thought that had passed him by for a bit coming back to the surface. "Hearing part of your stories while we wait on our grub would be helpful too, I can try to piece tougether just whats been going on around here."
