RE: The Road to Pittsdam
[okay, there’s a time skip coming up soon again. The next time I post, we’ll be going through the hornets nest. And for-reallizes tutley, I want some help with this. ]

Being the grumpy bear that he was, he grunted at there response. He folded his arms and looked away with a scowl.

Fine. Since you want to take all damn day for it.”

Placing her hand up to her forehead, Topaz shook her head and sighed. “I’m sure we can ask some people where the station is. I don’t think they’ll mind.”

Tutley soon noticed a nearby shop, pointing it out to the others. "Let's buy a map... and see if I can score some cheap electronics. I have a ring card that should be accepted around here...I hope. If all goes well I can whip up something that could prove helpful while were walking around town.", he said as he approached the shop.

RE: The Road to Pittsdam
[ The group has been given Five Bombs. FIVE BOMBS. And a police car.]

------

It was dark outside. By the time everyone managed to get everything done, they would arrive at the military base. There might be at least twenty people on the grounds, and they’ve seemed to figure that something was coming. The group could see large spot lights moving around the inner part of the fence. Two gang members, armed with machine guns, stood outside the gate entrance. Considering there was a large amount of barbed wire at the top of the fence, it seemed like the only way in was through the gates.

The group would be a little ways away, hidden behind some trees and bushes in a cop car the police had let them borrow. Thankfully, no one had seen the lights from vehicle or heard its engine, so for now all of them were safe.

“Why do I get this distinct feeling that you still don’t trust me….”

Topaz, who was in the driver seat, turned and put her arm up on the top edge of the seat to look behind. While Tutley and Syrhus where all sitting in the front seat, Nel was stuck in the back; his arms followed with a series grimace.

“Because I don’t.” She replied dully. She then turned her attention to the other two passengers as she looked towards them. “So, any plans on how to get in?”

RE: The Road to Pittsdam
Syhrus had spent most of the time in the car conversing with Tutley over the dimension he found himself in. The laws of physics and basics of nature seemed the same as his home dimension; however Syhrus found this dimensional merge fascinating.

But there were other things to be done at the moment. Syhrus gazed through the binoculars that came with the vehicle.

“I’m not seeing any guards outside other than the two. Could be fairly simple to sneak in, assuming we could find a good point of entry. Once inside though, things may get difficult fast.” Then he tilted his head to one side.

“On the other hand, we could barge in, guns a-blazin’, but once again, the inside of that place is a wildcard. If we hit it fast and hard, though, we might be able to confuse their ranks enough to gain some advantage.” He brought his head back in his seat and pondered a second.

“Course, if the MGs on those tanks are already manned, then we’d be runnin’ into a meat grinder.” Syhrus gestured as if he was behind a gun as he said MG. “Are you guys confident in your ability to take them out quickly if it comes to it?” He wasn’t used to trusting others with lives on the line, so he said the last sentence with an uncharacteristically serious tone.

With nothing else to do but wait on the verdict, Syhrus scooted his seat back a bit. He focused, furrowing his brow, concentrating all of his thoughts on one single object from his memory, and a small portal opened up, dropping a laser rifle into his hands.

RE: The Road to Pittsdam
For most of the ride, Tutley had been explaining what he surmized had happened to the planet, and filled Syhus in on the basic principles of his dimension, pretty standard according to Syhus.

He looked to his backpack as the car rolled to a stop, his partner presently resting inside. He did question if it was a good idea to leave him napping with a block of C4 in his backpack but he figured his buddy was wise enough not to tinker with it. He had also cycled through his available shield arsenel along the way, opting for more...heavy duty possibilities.

"Lesee...light and lightning for THAT combo, water and fire to cover my basics and a blast shield for much needed power and support if we get in a group brawl...", he reasoned to himself. Tutley peered between the seats, taking a look at the perimiter. "That building looks familiar for some reason....", he said with a puzzled look on his face, not quite able to remember why.

"Anyway, why don't we have Nel here pretend to be one of them and slip through the checkpoint. I whipped up that thing you wanted...", he said to Nel as he held out what looked like a small harmonica. "Between this and something to cover your face you could trigger a distraction and slip in....", he said as he kept an eye on the guards. "In the best case, you could misdirect them into chasing a false lead. The three of us will follow behind you a few moments after if the coast is clear. Sound like a plan?", he asked looking around at each of them. "And in my case, I have something that's probably enough to take out a tank or two without my bomb.", he said as he slapped his backpack. "It's got quite a few hidden tricks."

He looked to Syhus with an intrigued look as he summoned a... gun? "Man...your just full of surprises, arn't you?", he remarked. "But... got anything with more of a...kaboom factor to it for later?", he asked pointing at the rifle.

RE: The Road to Pittsdam
[ Hey Tutley, for the sake of convince you can handle the two NPC’s outside the gate.]

“You really think he can cause a distraction?” Topaz asked, sounding a little disbelieving.

“If they’re as stupid as they look, then ya. I can.” Nel would take the harmonica looking device out of Tutley’s hand and examine it. Not exactly what he was expecting, but what would he expect on short notice. Grumbling he pulled out a strange metal mask that covers the entire bottom half of his face: from the bridge of his nose to his chin. Hopeing that the device would work from a short distance, he placed the small device in the inside of the mask at the chin and put the mask on. He then took out a red handkerchief and tied it around his mask; hopefully to disguise it.

“Okay, assuming he can do it right, what happens next? After he manages to cause it?”

After Topaz opened the car door for him, Nel stepped outside. For now before he would look onwards toward the base. He wanted to make sure that before he went, everyone had an idea of what to do.

RE: The Road to Pittsdam
Syhrus answered Tutley, “No worries, Tutley. I’m saving that for when we thin ’em out a bit. Like I said, in any event we’ll need to be able to take some hostiles down quickly, and ‘quickly’ isn’t the first thing to come to mind with my tank bustin’ weapon.”

Syhrus grabbed his staff and put it in it’s harness on his back. He popped the door open. “I’ll cover Nel in the event this goes badly.”

Then he hopped in the bushes and made his way to a good position. Syhrus brought the weapon to his shoulder and swung the iron sights to the nearest guard. He waved to the police car to signal he was ready.

RE: The Road to Pittsdam
"I suppose I should go more in depth...", he said as he exited the car, closing the door quietly. He took up a position behind Syhus, getting a better view of the base. "It looks like those two are the only ones guarding the main gate. They might...be a little shorthanded given the size of this place. That means they probably have someone watching the outside with cameras. Thats where I'll come in...", he said as he pulled out his laptop, pulling it open as he began to frantically type.

"I'll access their cameras and create a one to three minute long recording loop to play, which will give us time to sneak inside as long as we avoid those spotlights.", he said pointing at the watchtowers nearby. "My guess at that those are automated. Get caught in the light and your presence is immediatly alerted or your put on camera. I won't be able to hack into those without the risk of being noticed as easily as the cameras so I'd rather not risk blowing this thing before we start. We'll have a short window after I finish recording this and start replaying the footage to get through the courtyard. From there, we'll attempt to meet up with Nel' and proceed to find their main garage, and blow the building sky high with the tanks inside!", he said as he slammed his right fist into an open palm.

"From there we simply clean up the remaining enemy, and then see what to do about this place. I'm pretty sure this wasn't here origonally...and we might wanna see about commondeering one of those tanks for our own use...", he said pointing out he was the only one with a primary form of transportation to his knowledge.

He focused on his task at hand, finding accessing the cameras fairly easy, and proceeded to record the last three or so minutes of footage. With one last click, he looked around, closing his laptop and inserting it back into the holding slot inside his backpack, to link up the trigger to start it to the controls in his boots. He gave Syhus a tap on the right shoulder after he finished up, his backpack giving off a visable golden aura for a moment before dissapating. The new shield formation he had set up had been completly installed. "Everythings in place. I'll start the loop if Nel' manages to pull this off, or we're forced to act. Everyone ready?", he asked looking around.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Meanwhile further ahead, the pair of guards were presently oblivious to the pair preparing to make their move, the badger and skunk duo conversing as they looked around. Each of them had flak jackets, and bullet belts strapped cross their back for show. They were clearly on edge, having heard of the earlier lizard's tale of the guy who took down half the group that went off to the nearby city to cause trouble, the guy with the imposing hammer, and the cop. "Hey... don't you think the boss is a bit more on edge than usual? Guy refuses to let others in to see him.", the skunk asked the other.

The badger shrugged, toting his machine gun over his right shoulder. "Doesn't matter, he'll be back to normal soon as we level that town come sunrise.", he said with a laugh, and a toothy grin.

RE: The Road to Pittsdam
Topaz gave Tutely a nod as she gripped the steering wheel slightly. Everything was now left off to Nel to get the ball rolling.

Having second thoughts, Nel hastily pulled the banda off. Instead, he put it on the top of his head, thinking it was better suited to hide the top of his head rather the mask. He then grabbed a black leather jacket out from the back of the seat and put it on over his own clothes. Straightening it out, he figured he looked more like a gang member. Hopefully, the guards were stupid enough to believe it.

Seeing that it was now or never he began to walk around the car and walked in the direction they came. If he had just came out of the bushes, it would possible make them suspicious. Once he got far enough from the group and even father from the gates, he started to run over towards the road that led up to the complex. Jumping over any logs of bushes that may be in his way, he managed to get himself to the road un-scratched and hopefully unnoticed.

He wasn’t sure what kind of an excuse he was going to come up with, but he figured he’d think of something as he started to run towards the gate at a fair speed. He kept himself focused on the two at the gate, in case they decided to just outright fire at him.
