Launch Base Zone - Infiltration

RE: Launch Base Zone - Infiltration
The bot who'd thrown its punch spun around to keep its fire on Ji. However, in its haste to shoot down the lizard, it tripped over the bot crawling out from under the bot that had been accidentally shot earlier. This caused it to fall over and hit its head pretty hard on the ground.

That left Ji with one last target...the bot now getting on its hands and knees. With the light of the green flare, Ji was perfectly illuminated as the bot took aim and let loose another set of laser blasts.

Ji swerved again, dodging the blasts without problem. Then she dove... and kicked the flare down the hall, unknowingly towards Anu. She didn't really know what the flare was, but guessed that getting rid of it might help her.

However, while kicking the flare down the hallway made the immediate area darker, it also silhouetted her against the green light. Her frill made a very distinctive black outline against the emerald glow. The bot quickly reacquired its target and resumed fire.

On the floor, Ji might hear a loud groan from Gail. Looked like he was starting to come out of the stun blast's effects.

(I'm beginning to wonder if I'm being too cheap with this character. There's no real good counter for agility...)

Ji had to drop to the ground and lay low to avoid getting shot, which she quickly did. Her frills remained tightly folded. With few options, she swung her crook horizontally to try to trip the bot.

RE: Launch Base Zone - Infiltration
He didn’t stop running. No time to take a through look at his surrounding, he just kept moving forward. The jump had been weird so to say. One moment you’re running around in some warped piece of time and space and the next thing you know you’re suddenly in lush’s jungle. And even though it was a blur it was a very familiar blur…

After what would seem like forever to him with the same blurry scenery, the constant dodging of tree limbs, vines and other assortments that could make him trips he found himself shooting out of the jungle and straight into the Launch Base zone. And he fully recognized it. There was no mistaking it, as it was a very one-of-the-kind place; just as the machinery he saw in the distance and robots crawling around where vaguely familiar too.

But it didn’t add up. He’d have to wait and see for himself, if he wanted to know what was going on. Which was his exact intention as he showed no sign of slowing his speed down.

RE: Launch Base Zone - Infiltration
(Well, I'll be honest with you Jii... I'm not having much fun with this fight and I kinda want to get it overwith so we can move on with the story. That's part of why you're doing so well. I don't think I'm that good at making fights that entertaining. If you have ideas for how to make things more fun, I'd be happy to listen.)

Jii's crook successfully connected, sending the bot tumbling to the floor. It started to get back up again, but before it could move to aim it's gun at Jii, a laser blast went straight through its head. In the light of the dimming flare, the queen would see that Gail had just gotten conscious enough to point a downed SWATbot's arm blaster at the final remaining bot. Seeing that he'd saved his new friend, the wolf made a weak smile, before letting his head fall back to the floor with a thump. Again, his mouth hung open again with the long tongue drooping out.

Clearly he'd need another minute or so to come to his senses.

After a moment, Ji put her crook away.

(Ji) "Well... I guess that's the end of that."
(Anu) "YOUR HIGHNESS!"

Anu rushed into the tunnel to meet up with the lizard.

(Anu) "Your Highness, are you all right?"
(Ji) "I'm alright, but I thought you were guarding the...?"
(Anu) "He ran off all of a sudden. I couldn't stop him."

RE: Launch Base Zone - Infiltration
Through slipping between consciousness and unconsciousness, he thought he heard the Egyptian pair talking about somebody. By 'he', he thought they meant Chadin. Funny...a deer and a wolf working together when they're prey and predator normally. But he had run off?

Gail started mumbling, but the stun rounds had really messed with his motor control so he found it difficult to speak. A few words slipped out of his lips.

"Chuh...Chadin? You talkin'...'bout him? He...ruh...ran off? Where?"

RE: Launch Base Zone - Infiltration
It wasn’t too much of a hassle getting through the defenses for him; for the most part he didn’t even bother fighting any of the robots since they could hardly keep up with him. For now, he could just run past them. For now he was most interested in the commotion where the delivery shuttles where.

With his speed, he’d get there with no problem as he would zoom through the shuttle Gail and Ji were on. But considering he wasn’t expecting anybody, he wasn’t in the gear to stop so suddenly. So when he noticed the two, it took a little to get himself to come to a complete stop; with a sound of rubber screeching. He was a couple of yards away when he did come to a halt, but he did a quick backwards run to get closer to them.

He looked at both of them weird. A lizard with an Egyptian theme and her beetle friend and a wolf that looked to be coming back to his senses. He scratched behind his ear curiously.

“What are you kids doing here?” he asked. It might have sound weird coming from himself, but he always thought of himself a special case. Just because he was saving the world at sixteen didn’t mean –anyone- could.

The blue hedgehog's arrival pretty much derailed the conversation, and Ji and Anu more or less forgot about Gail. Ji and Anu both glanced up at him, then at each other, then back at him. Jijeka-Te then asked more or less the last question Sonic probably expected to hear.

(Ji) "Forgive our impoliteness, but who are you?"
