RE: ...Oh...this isn't good...
The Crimson Knight's blow connected solidly... much more so than one would expect from honed blade on defenseless flesh. Of course, while he'd hoped he'd have the element of surprise on his side he was hardly unprepared for the fox's defense. Like any good swordsman the blow was struck with preparation for the next swing in mind, and so it was that the blade glanced off the thick metal of the gauntlet and right back into a ready position, one hand extended open-palmed in front of him for balance while the other held the blade at the ready by his head at eye level.
He wasted no time with defiant threats or banter. Perhaps Shadow would have indulged in such things, but not the Crimson Knight. Anything that needed to be said could be said after the battle, any point that needed making could be made better by fist, blade, and Chaos Spear. And so it was that, seeing the behemoth swing his left hand wide to throw him back, he immediately took the advantage, quick-stepping to Priscilla's left in the blink of an eye with a burst from his air shoes, where Relic's armored paw would have a hard time reaching in such a brief instant as he had to recover from his violent heave. In the same motion as his quick-step, even before his feet landed back on the ground, the Crimson Knight swung his blade in a swift slash at the wolf's side, just below her ribs. He favored speed, precision, and recovery time over strength, knowing all it would take was solid connection from a relatively light swing to fell her and so wasting no extra effort that could be better spent recovering from his swing should she or her diabolic companion manage to defend against it. Controlling the Chaos for fifty years. |

RE: ...Oh...this isn't good...
Nail wasn't really listening to what Priscilla had to say, as he ducked into another dark alleyway close by. After a moment, his head popped back out as he watched ducked behind a set of trash cans.
Since Shadow was occupied, Nail took the opportunity to check what Priscilla had got him. Collared shirts...jeans... They'd work. He breathed a small sigh of relief, as he felt worried about what Priscilla might pick. It'd be impossible to change into one of the shirts with the handcuffs on, but maybe he could manage the jeans while he was waiting. It might even be enough of a disguise for now if he had to run. He'd heard stories of some teen shops selling prison-like shirts. So, after sparing another glance to make sure Shadow was occupied, Nail quickly yanked a pair out of the bag and started ripping the tags off. |

RE: ...Oh...this isn't good...
Relic raised his right hand slightly. Passing over the necroshine attached to the chain around his waist. The ghastly green bladed ring formed in his right hand. The sound of steel smashing into the ethereal weapon sent out a piercing wail. The ring now around Priscilla once again blocking Shadow's attack.
Though the wolf took little heed of the danger she was in, choosing to turn her attention towards Nail. Walking away from Shadow towards the alley the hybrid had disappeared to. A scowl forming on her face. To accommodate his master Relic pushed the ring out towards Shadow in an attempt to force him to off. Unlike his unwieldy left gauntlet, the bladed ring was much more fluid in its movements. Relic Drake has been a master of combat for over a century. Having dived head first into battle after battle, cutting down foe's as strong as himself or as fast as the sun's fleeting movements. As skilled as Shadow thought he was with a blade, the best he could hope to be when compared to the dread knight was amateurish. Vanessa Tancer Priscilla Relic Drake |

RE: ...Oh...this isn't good...
For the second time Arondight found it's strike deflected, and for the second time the sacred sword's wielder skillfully glanced the blow, instantly at the ready once more. Another short jump backwards took him well out of the range of the ring that had seemed to materialize in the fox's hand. The Knight's faceplate served well to mask his grit teeth: the behemoth was so far posing little threat, but he was doing his job well. Getting to the wolf woman was beginning to look exceedingly difficult. He could continue to attack in the same manner, using his infinitely superior speed to take advantage of the giant's thus-far slow blocks to find an opening, but there had to be a simpler way.
And then a thought came to him. Without turning away from the Relic and his master the Crimson Knight jumped back, air blasting from his air shoes to propel him further than his legs could, a good ten feet away from the fox. He landed sliding back, his air shoes rendering him as near-frictionless as a puck on an air hockey table as he got another good six or seven feet of distance, never taking his eyes off of his targets. Finally, just as he slid to a stop, he hefted Arondight high into the air, point straight up, and with the cry of "Chaos Spear!" ten points of golden light formed in an arch over him. "Chaos Slash!" he roared as, bringing his sword down, the Crimson Knight sent the Chaos Spears rocketing forward, accompanied by a thin wave of similar golden energy following the path of the sacred sword's slash. The entire process, from the first jump to the launch of his attack, was a matter of seconds. The Chaos Spears and accompanying Chaos Slash each had about the strength of Shadow's strongest punch, which, being the Ultimate Life Form as he was, had significantly more power behind it than most humans could muster, though by no means explosive. The shots flew straight forward like rockets, aimed at the wolf but hardly difficult for the fox to intercept. Perhaps when he saw the Knight had the advantage of range on his side as well as blinding speed, the Dread Knight would reconsider his position... Controlling the Chaos for fifty years. |

RE: ...Oh...this isn't good...
Occasionally Nail spared a glance to the battle out on the street, watching dazzled as the mutant fox or whatever he was seemed to materialize magical weapons out of thin air. He had NEVER seen anything like this in his life. Too bad he doubted Priscilla wouldn't hesitate to sic it on him if he deserted them.
Speaking of which, she seemed to be walking towards his alleyway with a very displeased look. With that thing on her side, Nail really did not like it. But honestly, what did she expect him to do? Jingle his chains and hope it would scare Shadow away like a rabbit? As she stepped closer, a yellow aura appeared to highlight her hair. At first Nail thought it was one of her powers, but then he realized it was a new light source overhead. Looking up, he saw several points of light flying straight towards the both of them, like missiles. They'd have to get past Relic but Nail didn't feel like putting his fate in the monster's hands, especially with Shadow involved. "Behind you!" he pointed, before moving to duck further back in between the buildings. |

RE: ...Oh...this isn't good...
Relic didn't hesitate to react to the volley launched by Shadow. Using the breaker he had stored up previously, he swung his arm in a downward motion. The crimson crescent crackled with raw power, the energy band held an eerie black lining.
A medium strength breaker, fast enough to catch the chaos attacks, yet strong enough over power them. Having launched the breaker with his gauntlet, he managed to absorb most of the back lash with the giant weapon of war. The breaker did not destroy all of the attack, Relic threw the bladed ring to take care of what ever he missed. The green circle smashed through the chaos attacks turning to nothing more then mist as it passed the wolf. The beauty of the necroshine was it could form, unform and reform its energy aspect at a whim. Priscilla did not try and duck into the alley way, she didn't even acknowledge tha an attack had been made. "He's never failed to protect, that brute." Vanessa Tancer Priscilla Relic Drake |

RE: ...Oh...this isn't good...
The Crimson Knight scowled beneath his mask but sidestepped the attack without any show of effort. His attacks had been sent straight for the wolf and the fox, being between hedgehog and wolf, had predictably blocked them. Unfortunately this was not quite the reaction the Knight had been hoping for, as not only was Relic not doing what he wanted him to but he'd revealed the ability to make a ranged attack, albeit hardly a threatening one against the Black Blur.
This required another change of tactics. Readying his sword, the Crimson Knight rocketed forward in a head-on charge at over a hundred miles an hour, covering the distance between them in a matter of seconds, blade at the ready for a brutal lightning-fast strike the instant before running into the behemoth. The strike would never come, however. The Knight would never even come within striking distance, for either of them, staying well out of Relic's reach or the reach of his weapon. As fast as his dash was, Chaos Control was faster. Halfway across the distance between them, less than a second after his charge had begun and just long enough for Relic to register the Crimson Knight's assault and the blinding speed at which he made it, the Knight vanished in a flash of light. In the same moment in time he reappeared on the other side of the sinister pair, now bearing down on Priscilla at the same incredible speed with the titanic fox well on the other side of her, sword still set for a full-strength killing slash. The Knight counted on the inability of his foes to keep track of him, moving at such speeds and using teleportation to disorient them and position himself for a strike they would, he hoped, be caught totally off-guard by. RE: ...Oh...this isn't good...
As Nail backed way, he watched in amazement as Priscilla continued to never even break pace in her step, even as Shadow's attacks homed in behind her. So far, she seemed to be right about Relic never deflecting a single attack, but how long could that last? Speaking of which, the hedgehog performed the Chaos Control move again, flashing back into reality behind Relic. Nail recognized the demon fox as powerful, but he also appeared to be extremely slow. In the second or two it would take Shadow to reach Priscilla, he really doubted the fox would be able to stop him in time.
With no time to help or even call out a warning, Nail simply continued to back away, waiting for the wail of the lady's scream as the blade cut into her. -- In the distance, sirens echoed off of the ancient buildings. Blue and red lights spiraled around, illuminating the surrounding streets. Apparently the local police force now knew about the fight from the ruckus it had raised, and they were closing in. |

RE: ...Oh...this isn't good...
(Sorry days go by so quickly, feels like yesterday i was reading the reply.)
Relic payed no heed to Shadow's bluff. He was still weary that the hedgehog was still after his master. If he was wrong, he would take a hit from the sword, something that worried him very little. When he saw that Shadow has passed him by, once again aiming for Priscilla, he called to her. "Milady!" was all he could get out as Shadow was near instantly upon the white wolf. Priscilla knew there would be only one reason he would call to her. On reaction she replied with one simple word. "Castling." In a flash of light the wolf and fox switched places. Priscilla now safely out of Shadow's reach while Relic was left with the crimson knight sinking his sword deep into the fox's side. Easily smashing through his armor the blade found its way between the monstrous knight's ribs. Relic responded by first clamping down on the sword locking it to his body with his right had. Then bearing down his massive left gauntlet on Shadow. His first priority was relieving Shadow of his sword, as that posed the most threat to Priscilla at the moment. Priscilla ran her hands through her hair. Walking to close the gap between herself and Relic. The way Shadow had attacked, Relic ended up in between the two. With his only way out of the alley being to go past Relic. In his rush to end the battle the crimson knight had inadvertently boxed himself in with the monster. "That noise... What is that noise Duke?" She hated to ask him, but he was the only who could provide the answer. Vanessa Tancer Priscilla Relic Drake |

RE: ...Oh...this isn't good...
[3 day rule, movin on~]
Trouble outside shook SOLIS from its sleep. 27% charged, it'd have to do. It recognized the sound instantly and started scanning various signals, catching onto a police radio channel. It almost immediately recognized the street name, along with a "10-10" code, which according to it's prebuilt knowledge base most likely indicated a fight in progress. Sifting through the other codes, it gathered at least three units incoming on reports of deadly weapons, as well as the approximate location. Upon Priscilla's query, SOLIS immediately spoke, somewhat louder than it's usual placid voice, "Audio source: Police sirens. Destination intersects current position, minimum of three units incoming. Suggested course of action is to immediately depart." |
