...Oh...this isn't good...
Twilight gazed upon the beautiful city of Soleanna, tinting the creamy white Mediterranean buildings in hues of orange, yellow, and gold. As the sun continued to lower in the sky, these colors shifted to purple, blue, and gray. People started to go home, and lights came on in the windows.

But just as the night reached its darkest, a bright flash of light blasted through an alleyway, briefly making it seem as bright as day. This would be followed by a loud thud and a grunt, as someone collapsed in a lump on the paved stone floor. Much could not be seen of the person, since it was so dark. However, as a foot entered a light's zone, one could see a clothed gray furry leg wearing orange.

As the figure stepped out of the darkness, it appeared to be an aged fox wearing a prisoner's orange jumpsuit. Handcuffs clinked together as he moved his hands about. The anthro appeared disoriented, as he seemed to blink several times, possibly to get rid of the spots in his eyes from the previous bright light.

"Am I...free?"

Nail couldn't believe his eyes. He wasn't in the bus any more, but now in some random alleyway somewhere. How had this happened? Was it an act of God? But then he looked down at the clinking handcuffs on his hands, not to mention his orange shirt sleeves.

Oh...not good...

He wasn't out of the woods yet, apparently. While some god appeared to have shown him enough grace to get him out of the bus, he hadn't been nice enough to give him the proper clothes. Looked like he still had a fight ahead of him. Nail retreated back into the dark to sit down and hide. He needed time to consider his options...

RE: ...Oh...this isn't good...
(From the museum)

With a half hearted yawn the buxom white wolf walked down the city streets. She had lost track of Terridere who must have gone either off on her own or to stay back with Relic. Either way Lady Priscilla Veiltine walked tonight alone. She fondled the book softly, caressing the leather bound prize before once again bringing it to her bosom.

"Soon the world wil- Eh what's that?"

She stopped at the opening of an alley. Every single one of her non tangible senses shot off. Wrinkling her nose she began taking a sniff, something was strange in the twilight air.

"What's that I smell, opportunity?"

She turned her hour glass figure towards the alley breaching it's threshold. She was confident between her shields, silver tongue, looks, hidden short sword and ability to call down an unholy monster she wouldn't find trouble.

RE: ...Oh...this isn't good...
[I was actually planning for SOLIS to join in here. We'd been discussing it. However, perhaps we can do a little RP while we wait.]

Nail froze when he heard someone say the words "what's that?", and started praying that whoever had said it simply was looking at something else. Even if it was a very, very sexy voice... But then he heard Priscilla's next line, this time originating closer from the entrance to the alleyway.

Crap...she's going to come in here, isn't she? And then she's going to scream bloody murder when she sees me, an escaped convict.

The hybrid slid a little bit closer to the dumpster he was hiding behind, doing it as softly as possible.

(Well Priscilla has had enough excitement for one day, so she'll just be kind around)

Her pace increased as she became some what anxious as to find what had spark such an intrigue in the alley. The wolf ran her tongue across her soft powdery lips, as if a giant cake had been put before her.
Even though Nail was quieter then a mouse and amongst a heap of trash, the very distinct smells he gave off betrayed his location after a few moments of lax searching.

Priscilla's eyes narrowed as she saw the mix of vulpine and lupine. Her brow furrowed into a puzzled look. Having no idea that the orange jump suit was indicative of being an escaped convict, she had no idea what to make of Nail.

"You there, why do you lay with this foul smelling crate?" her tone was a mixture of confusion and disappointment. A displeased look on her face. Expecting more from such a powerful signature of magic.

RE: ...Oh...this isn't good...
Nail looked rather bewildered by the whole situation. Instead of getting scared, he couldn't help but feel the questions flood through his mind as Priscilla simply stepped straight around the dumpster without hesitation to confront him.

What sort of woman, dressed up like she was, barged straight into a dark alleyway in the middle of the damn night just because she thought she saw someone in an alleyway? Especially when that 'someone' likely would be a mugger? And why did she seem to completely ignore the outfit and the handcuffs he was wearing? And why did she have such an odd manner of speaking?

"Umm..." he went silent for a moment, really not sure what to say next. Then he thought he knew what was going on. Perhaps it was too dark for her to get a proper look at his clothes. After all, he did have better night vision than most people. An idea sprung in his mind from that.

He intentionally put a slur into his voice, to make it look like he was drunk. Not to mention he rolled over on his back to hide the handcuffs.

"Uh...yahnno...jus'...had a fin' drink...yeh." The hybrid added in a weak cough for good measure. "Beh takin' a nap back heah...why's don' yew jus' leave meh aloen?"

RE: ...Oh...this isn't good...
Priscilla leaned forward with a cunning smile. The she-wolf half bending would give Nail quite the reason to observe gravities influence on objects, supple supple objects. She noticed that he had put in a hard thought before he spoke. And the way he had shifted his eyes, he was formulating a lie. She also couldn't detect any hint of alcohol on his persons or his breath. Her voice rang with joy as she spoke to Nail.

"A thousand blessings placed on your crown by the gods!"

Her face quickly formed into a scowl. Her voice seething with scorn and venom. It was clear that she was upset, but t was a very cold anger.

"For the very day you try to deceive, Lady Priscilla Veiltine, to blatantly try and slight her! To be so coy as try and cloud the eye of the very one, who has obfuscated and hidden every intent with her misty hand!"

like a flash the anger dissipated from her voice, being once again replaced with her rather joyous tone.

"Is also the day her mercy is in the greatest bounds, for you have been absolved from your sin against her lady, for trivial things shalt not be heeded this day. Tell me... "Inmate""

She could clearly read the letters on his jump suit in the dark. Even though she had no idea what an Inmate was. What ever advantages Nail thought he had on his side from his lupine heritage would pale in comparison to a full breed like Priscilla. The white wolf gave him information on her to reach her at the place she currently resided.

"Would it not be unwise to waste such 'resources'..."

she reached her hand out pinching his bicep. The half wolf was in quite good shape, too good to not have been familiar with warfare. Her voice took a much more serious tone.

"There will be a new era that I will usher in with my own sweat, blood and tears, so it may be wise to earn favor with her lady early and escape those dreary fates of the ones committing the sin of ignorance."

Once again she stood fully erect. Waiting for Nail's response. A very nonchalant look on her face. As if this was normal to her.

RE: ...Oh...this isn't good...
As Priscilla started to lean over, Nail rose from his sleeping position in case she was planning to do something. Then he got a facefull view of what she wanted him to see. It stunned him for a moment, although not for the reasons she probably wanted. This whole situation just had a very bizarre, dream-like feel to it. Was he simply napping in the prison bus? But he made a discreet pinch to one of his arms, and that dismissed that notion.

And now she was talking in some sort of crazy Ye Olde English tone. He honestly didn't catch much of what she was saying. All he really heard her say was 'inmate'.

A brief pang of fear crossed through his yellow eyes, but then they settled back into confusion as she kept talking. She could clearly read the word, but she didn't seem to understand what it meant.

She has to be crazy, that's all there is to it. Why else would she be acting the way she is?

But at least she wasn't yelling for the cops right now. Nail decided he would just play along for the moment, so as not to upset her. He accepted the card with her contact information graciously and took to reading it. But then she suddenly pinched his bicep, which almost made him yelp out in surprise. Instead he just reflexively jerked from the sudden touch and looked her in the eyes.

Is this really happening?!

But if it was really happening, maybe he could get something out of it that would help him escape the city.

"Tell you what, if you need me to do something for you, how about tonight? I need to get some new clothes and money. This is all I've got, because I lost my suitcase and wallet after I got into town."

"Hmmm, you do have some sense about."

Standing back Priscilla let out an almost devious grin. The white wolf shifted the leather bound book in her arms. Treating the book with great respect, careful not to damage it. Even though Priscilla had a soft touch.

"Do not worry, Lady Priscilla rewards for loyal service 'Inmate'."

The wolf had a thought pop into her head. She remembered how easy it was to control males some times.

"Though if you head over earlier, there are some 'other' things to we could do to pass the time."

She gave the hybrid her best set of bedroom eyes while putting on a seducing smile. Aside from Relic, Priscilla found that the mere notion to man that it was possible to get with her would often drive them into a reckless haste. Agreeing to things they normally would not have agreed to. Following orders more carefully.

RE: ...Oh...this isn't good...
Nail blinked as he looked at the book in her hands. He couldn't help but wonder what that was for. Why would someone dressed like her be carrying around something like that? And she kept referring to herself as "Lady", like they were in the Middle Ages.

Come to think of it, where WAS here, anyway? From what he could see of the narrow alleyway, he looked to be in some city, somewhere. The architecture looked Mediterranean-style, which he didn't know what to make of. He thought about asking Miss Priscilla here, but wasn't sure of what she'd make of that.

Wait... If I was brought here in a bright flash of light, did it happen to other people? And what if the light transports people across time too? That would explain the out-of-place language.

Again, he thought about asking her about it, but that might raise questions about where he'd been before he'd ended up here. And he needed to keep that a secret from her for as long as he could. Plus something had to be done about her calling him 'Inmate'...

"I'd prefer to be called Duke for now, if you don't mind. Inmate is not my name. It's just something on my shirt, that's all."

That name came from his distant coyote Uncle Duke, who loved cowboy regalia and even ran his own wild west show. The rest of the Strafer clan thought him rather loony, but Nail thought he was fun to hang around as a kid. He sat up from his seated position behind the dumpster, as he glanced towards either end of the alleyway for passerby. Fortunately not many appeared to be around at this late hour.

She was still making that obvious offer for him to get in her knickers. But even if there weren't much, much more pressing matters at hand, he wouldn't have been all that interested.

It wouldn't feel right after...that...had happened. He almost shed a tear as he recalled the trial where his wife Canma had been sentenced to death, while he'd been sentenced to life in prison. Sure, she'd done plenty of horrible things with F4 in trying to kill humans, but in the ten years since she'd totally reformed. That invasion of Sarath's forces had completely changed her mind about all anthros being good and all humans being bad.

So instead of jumping at the offer like most men would, he merely gave a polite smile and said, "I appreciate the offer, but I'd much prefer to get my feet back under me first. Like I said, I need some new clothes. Do you think you could buy some for me, right now? It doesn't have to be anything flashy. Jeans and a T-shirt would be fine." He briefly wondered if she would understand what he meant by 'jeans and T-shirt' with her language, but continued on. "I'll get right to work after I'm properly dressed. Sorry, but I'd prefer not to be seen in this outfit. It's...not very fashionable these days, you could say."

RE: ...Oh...this isn't good...
Priscilla scoffed when Nail began making request.

"Why can't all help be as eager to please me as that brute."

She half whispered to herself. No really paying Nail enough mind to care if he heard or not. Though thinking about, the wolf would never fail to try and turn a situation in her favor.

"You'll have your garments 'Duke'." some how she didn't believe that was his name. that slight hesitation right before he said it. Though she didn't care for his real name, nor did she think it would matter. "but I more then full compensation in return." Her tone was much more serious then before. Seeing as how trying to get the fox/wolf hot and bothered only resulted in him saddening. She wouldn't tolerate a mopey underling, so best to avoid that rout.
