Egg Air Field 2

[Dr. Robotnik]

Rose and Tatsu would immediately find themselves confronted by some odd-looking sentry guns mounted into the walls. The fluourescent lights gleamed off their shiny, white, egg-like shells, as the red laser of an electronic "eye" scanned the corridor. Immediately upon spotting the pair, the targeting lasers rotated to face the pair. Then they spoke a few words in an quiet electronic, but almost musical-like tone.

"I SEE you..."

"DisPENsing PRODuct..."

"HelLO...friend..."

Then doors on the sides of the egg outer shells popped open, revealing the laser guns that had been firing all over the corridor just moments before. In stark contrast to the friendly, musical like voices, a hail of laser blasts immediately filled the corridor again.

Robotnik wanted to hop into the argument with the other two, but now wasn't the time. He wanted to try to do something to help. The doctor pulled out a tablet PC and with one hand typed in commands to get the security feed out in the hallway. As he saw the sentry guns swing into action, the doctor slapped his forehead.

The group in Robotnik's room would also hear the soothing voices coming from the cute, but very deadly turrets installed on the walls.

"Oh...it's those new sentry guns I installed last month! So that's what it is! They malfunction every time the power goes out!"

The doctor began typing with a flurry on the PC in the hopes of shutting them back down.

[PFffff, that saying's old news. Now it's all about combustible lemons. COMBUSTIBLE LEMONS. When life gives you lemons, give them to engineers to make combustible lemons and throw them at life's house. BTW, Tatsu never made it out of the door. He attempted too, but Snively shut the door before he could get out.]


Rose looked rather curiously when she heard the quiet voices coming from the sterile-white turrets. But much in any fashion of any Rose, she reacted naturally.

“That’s so cute~!” she exclaimed cheerfully like a little girl that had just seen the most adorable doll of her life.

But as soon as she exclaimed, the turret’s pods open and began to open fire on her. She jumped at the sight of trouble, but the turret’s first shots managed to hit her right leg in a few places. She winced at the pain in her legs, fighting herself to let out a scream. And as just as she was about to land attempted to swing at the turrets. Even though she knew as she was about to do this action that she was too far away for the axe to actually hit its mark. But something strange happened. An icy blue aura seemed to cover the head of the axe and as she swung an array of pointy ice-sickles seemed to phase from the axe and fly towards the sentry turrets.

Snively looked at the doctor in disbelief. “ Why would you….nevermind.”

He wasn’t even going to attempt to seek the logic in turrets having soothing voices; other than to catch people off guard. Not to mention why they spoke so musically. What would he do next, create and entire batch of them to sing an opera*?

[Tatsuhiro]

Tatsuhiro grumbled. “Who said I cared about her?” He began. “I just wanted to shred something.”

He was a little peeved. He’d been feeling useless since someone decided to open an old wound, and now that something was happening he was denied by a door. And the one who made it out would have all the fun. He wasn’t as sure as Rampage that the woman would die.

[Rampage]

[where do you think I picked up on the turret reference? XD]

"HAH!! At last, you and me agree on something, ugly!" Rampage hooted in genuine mirth.

[Dr. Robotnik]

"GotCHA..." one sentry gun said.

Robotnik looked very distressed as he saw Rose get wounded on the camera view outside. Unlike the others, he cared very much about what happened to her and typed frantically on the touch screen to get those cameras offline.

However, before he could finish, the icicles cleanly struck the sentry guns. One got hit in it's gun barrel and promptly exploded on the next shot, while the other two got their eyes shorted out. One got hit square in the red eye while an icicle pierced another and damaged the wires for the eye. As the two remaining sentry guns shut down, they still continued speaking in the same sing-song voices they'd been using all along.

"No hard feelINGs..."

"I DON'T hate YOU..."

The doctor breathed a deep sigh of relief, but now Rose was wounded out there. He promptly turned his eyes to Rampage, who'd clearly expressed glee at the thought of Rose being dead. The doctor definitely didn't look pleased by those remarks.

"Listen Rampage. Rose is part of the team too. You will go out there and help her out for what you just said. I would do it myself but...I'm still stuck in this bed. You too Snively."

[Rose Fox]

[OH snaps. XD Also, for dramatic convince, I shall not post what’s going on at Rose’s end.]

Snively looked at his uncle a little dully. “That’s incredibly easy for you to say, sir.” he stated somewhat bitterly. “She would rather kill all of us first before trying to kill you. Granted she was at some point trying to kill you, but she was re-considering.”

Truly if there was one thing Snively didn’t like, it was the idea of Rose and his new-version uncle hooking up in anyway possible. Oh sure, use her fanatic approval to him to his own power; that was something he could agree on. But he could tell very quickly that there was something majorly different about this Uncle from his own uncle. This man actually seemed to care. His uncle didn’t have much of a heart let alone any feelings towards others.

But he supposed in a way this might not be all bad. In fact, he hadn’t quite yelled at him since he’d been around. There’s still more time to really see if that changes, but for now it’s somewhat pleasant. That surely didn’t mean he still thought the old man could run anything better than he could-

Without much warning on his part, he felt a very painful strain on his neck. Snively’s hand instinctively went to his neck as it felt as though his neck had been caught in someone’s, powerful I might add, grip. As he gasped and wheeze to get air, they all could hear Rose’s voice coming out from the side of the hall.

“Oh Colin dear, could you please open the door for me? Something appears to have locked it on me.”

Without wasting time, he quickly typed the code on the pad and got the door to open. As soon as it did, he felt the invisible grip release and gasped in a great, big, breath of air.


Rose looked quite pleasant for someone who just got shot. In fact, considering that the Doctor had seen her get wounded, it would be even surprising to see that there were no signs that anything that happened at all. The three shots that had hit her in the leg where completely gone. There wasn’t any blood anywhere, and not even a single whole in her dress. And as she walked into the room she seemed completely fine with her Umbrella back to being and open umbrella that she held in her right hand; and let the bar rest on her shoulders.

She looked over towards Snively somewhat puzzled as he was trying to gain his breath.

“What’s wrong with you?” she asked, almost as though she was concerned. “It looks like you where choked or something.”


[OOC: oh so many jokes I can place here. Like Rose saying “I Find your lack of faith disturbing.” Or “Does Rose have to Choke a Somebody?”]

[Tatsuhiro]

Tatsuhiro didn’t feel much investment with Robotnik’s speech, if only because he wasn’t actually trying to get her killed somehow. He wouldn’t have mind helping Rose out, so he didn’t quite listen to him as he badgered Rampage and Snively. But around the time that he looked over towards Snively, he saw him acting peculiar. He was clutching his neck and looked as though he was having a hard time breathing. The Gargoyle blinked curiously at this, just before Rose’s voice came from the hall.

As Snively opened the door he was a little shocked to see Rose perfectly fine. It was a little bewildering, as he couldn’t possible imagine how she didn’t get hit. But at the same time he’d gotten a clear scent of blood from her, but it was incredible faint. What, had her wounds completely disappeared or something? If they’d been open, he would have smelled something more constant and strong.

He looked over towards the Doctor with a dumbfounded expression that spoke ‘Someone please explain to me how this is possible?’

“It doesn’t look like she needs help to me.” he stated bluntly.

[Rampage]

He couldn't see the screen Robotnik was watching from his angle, but watching Robotnik's expression and body language, Rampage noticed his actions suddenly become much more frantic at one point. As though he'd seen something bad happen. Given the situation, he could hazard a guess that Rose took a hit.

"Sure thing, Mom." Rampage chuckled back to Robotnik in his dark, foreboding way. But before Rampage got the chance to carry 'mommies' orders, Snively looked like he was being choked or something. Then Rose's voice came over the intercom and he immediately opened the door.

Even without knowing any particulars about this Snively and the new Rose, it didn't take an idiot to realize something was up; and up in a BIG way. Then of course, Rose trotted back in without a care in the world like she'd just come home from a big shopping spree.

"Oookay, drag queen. What the heck is going on here? What's with Sniv-nose over there sudden out of breath just now and since when do humans recover from laser wounds inside thirty seconds? And try to at least pretend you're capable of lying, or else this conversation is going to descend to a place you do NOT want to be." Rampage warned with his arms folded across his chest menacingly.

[To be honest I see the relationship between Rose and Robo as more like surrogate daughter-father at this point, not really hooking up. By the way guys internet is still going to be an issue for a few days at least. If you want to, have Robo decide to take a nap to recover after this post so you can carry on without me for a bit. I won't have home internet until at least Wednesday night at the earliest, and it could possibly take longer than that.]

Robotnik raised his eyebrows as Snively appeared to be in some sort of force-hold, just as Rose asked sweetly to be let back in. The two events happened in awful close proximity together. He couldn't help but wonder how that was possible. He kept trying to look for some sort of outline for an invisible being around Snively as he gasped for breath.

And then the door whooshed open, and in trotted Rose looking no worse for wear from that little misadventure in the hallway. As much as Robotnik wanted to look out for Rose at this point, even he was given pause at this new display of power. Rampage's words only highlighted his curiousity. He decided he'd just wait for Rose to explain since Rampage had already brought it up.

At the same time though, he was suddenly fighting to stay awake. Definitely not due to boredom though. Perhaps his injuries were catching back up to him again or he'd lost more blood than he'd figured before. He just didn't have that much energy at the moment and was having difficulty tryign to keep his eyes open.
