Egg Air Field 2

[Rose Fox]

As Rose roamed over the large runways, she got closer and closer to her destitution. It was a ship that was much smaller than the behemoths that Dr. Robotnik had taken to the island, but it was what she needed. A smaller ship meant it would be faster, and she didn’t really have that many troops to board it. The least of her problems was with the mech, but from the reports it was snug as a bug in a rug in the holding dock area of the ship.

Rose would soon board, the remaining skeleies hurryingly getting onto the ship in neat rows. She would finally manage to get to the helm, sitting in the main seat that was obviously built for the Doctor. Sitting there felt weird due to it’s largeness, but she got over it. She picked up a small earpiece with mic from the table next to her.

“ I want all security footage from my computer running on the screens now!”

Doing as she commanded, the few SWATbots she had control of to pilot the ship brought all the footage she had been looking at before on-screen. She smiled, though she was overrun by current events. Tatsu appeared to be down, It was complete chaos in the mushroom forest; and she didn’t know where Robotnik had went too. She’d had to deal with these things later, though.

“Alright, lets go! Destination, Angle Island!”

The Egg Fleet returned from its mission to the Egg Air Field, noticeably missing the main factory ship for the mining operation, plus many of the smaller shuttles meant to ferry in emerald shards. Robotnik looked out the window as they descended downwards. He turned towards Snively.

"So Snively. You've worked with my counterpart in another dimension correct? Does this look like anything you saw before you arrived here?"

Snively took a gaze out the window at the Robotropliois before him as he held his right wrist behind his back

“It looks quite familiar, sir.” He responded, still looking out the window. “Quite familiar indeed…”

Was it him, or was his uncle actually being…nice. Sure, he acted like a jovial fellow most of the time, but there’d always been the underlying dislike for him. Except now, of course. It didn’t feel like old times where there was some kind of tension of making the wrong move could result in the Doctor breathing down his neck. But after the few moments he’d spent it showed him otherwise. Then again, It hadn’t always been that way with his uncle. He couldn’t let his guard down, not while the old man was clearly putting more trust in him than the badger.

Rose on the other hand was staying quiet again, but at this point was staring a little coldly at Snively. Mainly because he was getting all of Robotnik’s attention and not her. Even so, she made her way over towards her axe and promptly un-stuck it from the floor. Once out, she gave the command for it to shift back into it’s umbrella form. As she looked at it changing, she decided to correct the badger from his earlier mistake.

“You know, I wasn’t talking about myself Mr. Rampage,” Rose started off sounding a lot more bored tone. “ I was talking about Snively’s girlfriend. Considering your answer, I suppose he didn’t have one in your dimension.”

As he stood quietly around, he thought about the present situation. He had three possible problems on his hands. There was the woman, the badger, and the tall man that Robotnik seemed too happy to trust. Or perhaps he didn’t seem him as a threat, like the women. And then there was Rampage who seemed like an all out wildcard. He wasn’t very sure about what he could do if any one of them decided to overthrow the Doctor. The Humans seemed simple enough, but Rampage…well…he wasn’t less sure about him than the rest.

Tatsu looked out the window for a moment or two. The city looked vastly different from the Robotroplios he’d been from. But all he could do for now was watch, and study.

The notion that Snively of all people had a girlfriend, a real, flesh and blood, honestly cared about him girlfriend made Rampage laugh out even louder than before. "What! Him? A girlfriend!? Don't make me laugh! The only kind of women that would be interested in him is the kind of dominatrix that would roll over him the same way the Doc does now or maybe one feigning an interest in him to further her own plans."

Rose's remark about a girlfriend besides her definitely piqued Robotnik's curiosity. He too thought Rose had been talking about herself. However, the doctor didn't think much would come of poking about in Snively's private life so decided to leave it alone. The ship finally landed at the airfield, and before long a med bot walked in to cart Robotnik's bed out of the room.

"We really must get back to the tower soon. I need to start drawing up plans for those shards."

However, as a medbot moved to pull the front of the bed, the lights in the room went dark for a second. The doctor frowned, before a clunking noise echoed through the ship. The lights immediately snapped back on.

"I wonder what that was..." the doctor mused aloud.

However, as the first medbot moved out of the room, a hail of laser fire ripped it to shreds. Immediately the medbot fell down with smoking holes all over itself and the corridor surrounding it.

"WHAT THE--?"

Someone...someone was shooting at them? HERE?! Did they have a stowaway?

"Quick! Close the door!" He ordered to his subordinates in the room. Robotnik then called out to a speaker in the room. "Security! What's going on out there? Do we have an intruder?"

[You know, maybe it was a mistake to post what I did. I was kind of hoping you guys would just react to the gunshots in the next round, not freeze like this. It's not REALLY the start of a battle. I actually intended this to be the start of a joke. Do you want me to just edit my post and drop what I was thinking of doing?]

[No no no, I've just had a hard time posting due to the work I've been doing on my end. Sorry about all the waiting.]


There were about two actions Rose could think of doing as she was facing away from Dr. Robotnik. The first was to immediately guard the Doctor with her umbrella while the rest of the group went out to confront the enemy. The second option was to violently murder whoever was out to kill him. As the umbrella took it’s shape back to the axe, anyone in the vacantly could practically see a dark aura engulfing Rose. Her face held a broken kind of smile that screamed Axe-Crazy. It was obvious she wasn’t going to take the first option.

She ran quickly through the door and out into the hall to confront whoever was outside. In the meanwhile, as soon as she got out and before anyone else could make a similar move; Snively closed the door quickly. He proceeded then to lock the door, having something of a manic grin himself. He was expecting after all for her to somehow die as violently as she wanted to kill the enemy.

Tatsu’s own reaction was somewhat similar to Rose’s, minus the evil aura and psychotic smile. But as he followed behind her, he found the door to close direction onto his face. He brought his hand’s up to his muzzle where he had ran right into the door, finding the pain to be annoying before shaking it off. He looked over towards Snively angrily and even growled.

“Why did you shut the door so quickly!?” he asked irritatingly, “You could have at least let use out to deal with the problem!”

He wasn’t happy that there was something going on and not being able to do anything about it. He’d already been done from a stupid bullet, he didn’t need a door to rub it into his face too.

[Rampage]

"What the?!" When the hail of laser fire came ripping through the open door way, Rampage had immediately dove for cover. He liked a good a fight as much as the next homicidal badger, but he wasn't stupid. Or suicidal.

At the very least, he would jump into the fight once he knew what it was that was attacking. But when the door suddenly slammed shut as Rose ran blindly outside; and rightin in front of Tatsu's nose, that problem essentially solved itself for him.

"Pfft... who cares, Tall Dark and Ugly? No skin off my nose what happens to that psycho. Good riddance. She was liable to try and kill one of us if we so happened to spill hot coffee in the Boss's direction. Who needs her."
