RE: Roval Arms
Terra exchanged looks with each memeber of the band as Giichi departed. While facing the door to head out he turned his neck and breifly glanced at Irene. A small feeling of symethy enveloped the Geomancer. They seemed to be honest individuals with dreams slowly being crushed. With only a quiet sigh, he glanced at the ground for a second before departing.
"The residents here are of no matter. Something tells me some sort of secret lies within these walls. Where to now." He replied |

RE: Roval Arms
"I'm not sure..." Giichi said, looking up and down the hallway.
A door opened at the end of the corridor, catching his attention. Someone wearing a dark maroon suit with matching fedora stepped out into the hall. It looked to be a bear, holding...a pick axe, a shovel, and a bucket? The man didn't seem to notice them, as he quickly slipped through the door to a nearby stairwell. Giichi could only think of a handful of things you would need those tools for. "Well, call it a hunch, but if we're looking for something hidden, I say we follow him." Grinning, and even chuckling a little, the sand cat started running for the door, waving for Terra to follow. |

RE: Roval Arms
The bear ahead of them crept down the stairs as quietly as he could...which wasn't very quiet. Every stair he stepped on seemed to make a loud squeak from bearing his portly weight. A small sigh could be heard with every other failed attempt to be stealthy. This would allow Terra and Giichi to follow unnoticed without much trouble.
Eventually, they would come to the bottom of the stairs. Maroon Suit pushed through a rusty metal doorway, and left it slightly ajar behind him. In faded, black letters, the two would just be able to make out the words "Basement". "That makes sense... I'd wonder where else you'd use those tools. Let's have a look-see..." Giichi slowly pushed the door open, trying not to make too much noise. Appropriately, while much of the upstairs floors looked like temple corridors in an echidna ruin, the basement down here looked like a burial crypt. Spiderwebs clung to the rough stone walls and exposed pipes, not to mention the water dripping from said pipes made the place feel even more like a long lost forgotten tomb. The only things spoiling the crypt feel would be the dim electric lights casting big shadows everywhere, and the random supply crates and boxes scattered around. Most of the boxes looked like they hadn't been touched or moved in ages. Unfortunately, pausing at the door had allowed the bear to get too far ahead of them. Now he was out of sight and they'd lost his trail. "Damn...we've lost him. We have to find him again..." Giichi crept into the room, sticking to the shadows. He wasn't too concerned about this turn of events. Down in such a shadowy dank place, he was in his sneaking element, and the basement surely couldn't be as big or scary as a real echidna tomb ruin. |

RE: Roval Arms
Terra wasn't exactly stealthy, but with all the noise the stranger had made it was practically effortless. When they reached the basement all hoped seemed lost as the bear man vanished from sight. Terra also froze brefly as the feeling of his bare feet on the cold stone floor made chills run through his body. He quickly got used to it and formulated a brilliant idea. Stone was a variation of earth and with his Geokinesis finding the bear would be no problem.
He slightly crouched and placed a palm on the ground then sent out a small Geokinetic shockwave. This would let him know of any footsteps around the area. There were tons of small things, must have been rodents of some kind, but a very distictive large one quickly grasped his attention. He swiftly and quietly made his way down the straight hallway, then made a right turn to see the back of a very large foot in the distance making another turn. He then waved for Giichi to follow, wherever he was hidden, as he pursued. |

RE: Roval Arms
Giichi didn't know what Terra was doing, but he decided to play along. After all, he'd led this entire time. So why not give him a chance to shine for a bit? In a moment, the two of them would hear muttering in the distance.
"Grrr...where is it?" If they turned the corner they'd see the bear moving a paw over the blocks, as if he were looking for a secret door or something. Finally though, he seemed to have selected a stone. The bear brought the pick axe out and started hitting it again and again. Tink...tink...tink...tink... Giichi paused at the corner, watching him work. As the bear started to work up a sweat and ruin his suit, the cat whispered to Terra. "I say we just watch and see if he gets lucky. Let's not interrupt yet." |

RE: Roval Arms
As the bear was found, Terra did a small victory cheer in his head. His Geokinesis never seemed to fail. He watched the bear fiddle with the stones and almost got the urge to use his power for a childish prank by moving the stones. This quickly vanished as Giichi spoke, and he simply nodded in agreement while keeping his eyes on the working bear.

RE: Roval Arms
The bear gave one last tink to the brick in the wall, shattering it. Terra and Giichi would catch a brief glimpse of a small compartment revealed in the brick's place, but then the bear blocked their sight by stepping in front of it and reaching inside.
Giichi leaned forward, feeling torn between wanting to see what was inside and yet not revealing himself. But his wish was granted a moment later, when the bear pulled something out and held it in his free hand. "What is this? Agggh... Wouldn't get 20 rings at the flea market." The bear set what he was talking about down on the ground beside his feet. It looked like a small copper statue of Tikal, the brown metal stained blue in many places by oxidation. It didn't look like much to Giichi either, and certainly not worth interrupting him for. However, the bear suddenly whirled around, gasping in surprise at Giichi and Terra looking at him. "Hey! What are you two doing here?!" Oh crap... Giichi struggled to come up with an explanation, as he nervously wiped his brow. Honestly, he couldn't do anything but stammer. |

RE: Roval Arms
Terra dealt with inner conflict as well as tbe bear reached inside. The contents revealed proved to be a disappointment. As he was about to tap Giichi on the shoulder and suggest they departe, those words the bear spoke made him freeze. He tried to keep his cool, considering the sand cat's stammering. He sighed deeply and let his mind say the first things that came up.
"We should be asking you the same thing." He questioned, staring into his eyes. He cringed slightly at how bad that sounded. He replayed what he said in his thoughts and he realized it sounded a bit hostile. Hopefully the bear wouldn't take it the wrong way. Just in case things would get out of hand he had a plan. If Giichi would look close enough behind the bear he would see a rather large stone slowly being lifted of the ground. It ascended higher and higher until it was at the same level as the back of his head, that happened in roughly 6 seconds. If the bear would look, he would see Terra's right hand moving in a circular motion, altough that seemed to be a nervous tick of some sort. If he were to attack, he would find that stone broken over his head, giving the pair a chance for a quick escape. |

RE: Roval Arms
Now it was the bear's turn to have his lip tremble a bit, as he tried to think up an explanation.
"Well...at least I LIVE here! I've never seen you two around before! I'm gonna go get Lizzie!" He started for the exit, as he picked up the statue off the ground. Giichi jumped in his way, shouting, "No! Wait!" However, the cat instantly regretted it, as Maroon Suit Bear towered over him by a good couple feet. Suit glared down at Giichi, while the cat took a deep gulp and his knees shook. Giichi absolutely hated direct confrontations like this. "Cat, get out of my way...now." "Umm..." Giichi raised a trembling arm. However, a second later he appeared to recover his composure, and pointed at the bear straight in his face. "Well, if you go tell on us, I'll tell Lizzie what you've been doing down here to the walls!" Giichi suddenly felt like he was back in the first grade, and threatening to tattle tail to the teacher on a troublemaker. The bear bared his teeth, letting out a low growl. It quickly settled down into a sigh. "You're right... But now what do we do? Just pretend we didn't see each other?" "Uh..." Thinking about it, it did sound like a fair tradeoff. "Yeah...I guess--" And then Giichi saw the stone rising into the air behind the bear. Terra... The cat whirled around to look Terra in the eye, quickly shaking his head back and forth. Nonononono... The bear raised an eyebrow, looking at the odd antics of the pair. "Excuse me...what is wrong with you two?" |
