The Pyro-bot gave no response, instead firing it's flamethrower if you could call that a response. The long stream of burning fuel made a terrific roar as it hurtled towards the no doubt terrified rabbit.

Meanwhile, Rampage has managed to get his hovercraft righted and was now debating whether he wanted to stay and watch the show or check in with Robotnik.

Instinctively, Whip carwheeled out of the line of,.... fire, his ears catching fire in the process.
"H-Hey! That was a little more dangerous than necessar- OwmyearOWMYEARSOWMYEARS!" He screamed, spinning around in place and patting his ears furiously.

The Pyro-bot wasn't playing around. Even as Whip was racing around trying to extinguish his ears, the Pyro-Bot unleashed another long stream of fire.

Whip, oblivious to the stream of fire, stopped, dropped, and rolled, all the way underneath the the flaming robot just in time to -not- become fried rabbit chops. In the process, his ears stopped singeing, and he calmed down, eagle spread underneath.
"Whew..." He sighed in relief, again not paying attention to the raining death that could have easily taken him.

The Pyro bot spun around trying to reacquire its target. The only warning Whip might get is the sound of the flame-thrower igniter flaring up again just before it fired another long stream of burning death.

Indeed, Whip managed to catch the sound of the ignition for the flame thrower and reacted accordingly, namely jumping into the air, far above the pod's firing range. Once he reached the apex of his bound, he extended his ears out and grabbed the ends. After a short fall, they managed to catch the air and slowed his descent to that of a feather's, overlooking the cyborg and his/it's robotic lackey.
"Wonderful view from up here!" He shouted down, waving his bandaged foot at Rampage with a hint of smugness.

Rampage looked up from the doorway of his hover craft when Whip called out to him. "Looks more like a skeet at a shooting range from down here." Rampage snapped up his laser rifle and fired about ten rounds from the hip at Whip as he drifted lazily back to the ground.

"Now that's not a-" Whip began, grinning up until he noticed the large gun and where it was aimed. His eyes widened in fear, and in an attempt to dodge, he quickly let his grip slide from his ears. However his velocity did nothing to drop him quick enough, and indeed what would've been a few shots to the chest instead blasted his face full force. He let out a loud, pained cry, and was pushed backwards in addition to his drop. Whip's body collapsed unceremoniously into the ground, a low moan escaping his lips in pain.

"Hah! Showed him who he was messing with." Rampage laughed with satisfaction and entered his hovercraft.

"Might as well see how the boss-man is making out." Rampage muttered to himself as he started up the Hovercraft and began to lift off the ground.

"Yo, Robotnik, this is Rampage. I just took down some no-class chump over here, but no sign of any other serious threats so far. What's the situation over by you?"

Tancer rubbed his eyes.The flash of light had nearly blinded him. When he came to he found a recognizable face staring at his. The blue blazer Vanessa.

Vanessa was over come with glee when she saw her. All time hero just appear. Flaming up she dashed to give the purple fox a hug. Smashing into Tancer at over 30 MPH. The only person she knew could treat an embrace like that normally. East side gunz strongest and second strongest had been united.
