Ted's Fuel Stop

RE: Ted's Fuel Stop
"God! You got impaled?!" he kept his voice down, in case someone might be listening outside. After casting a wary glance at the windows and not turning up anything, he returned his look to the wound. "I don't see how that could be 'nothing too serious'!"

This really put them in a pinch, if they were about to have a confrontation with some mysterious assailants. Giichi would be the only one capable of fighting, and that was something he preferred to avoid. It looked like this really had been a bad idea after all.

"I really hope what you say is the truth about your wound. Maybe we shouldn't sleep tonight and just keep a look out until morning..."

"It's fine." he insisted getting somewhat irritated by the cat's persisting demeanor. Secluding himself in those mountains formed him into a lone wolf. What appeared to be annoyance, was actually stubborness.

"I agree, however, we must alternate between sleeping and keeping watch. You may sleep first. I'll be fine for now. I don't suppose you have a banage I can wrap this in?" he continued.

RE: Ted's Fuel Stop
"No...I'm afraid not. But you helped get me and my car out of there, so I can do this for you."

Giichi removed the cloak he wore, and tore off a large section of it. The cat proceeded to wrap it around the echidna's right arm, where the wound was.

In all honesty, while this might look very generous to Terra, it actually wasn't that big of a deal for Giichi himself. He neglected to mention that he replaced these cloaks all the time, so the loss of a piece of fabric in one was no big deal. But Giichi didn't mention any of that, so it'd look that much better.

"And we're all done," he said smiling, as he stood up. After one more small look, he turned around and jumped into the passenger seat of the Dino. "I think I'll head off to sleep now. We can swap places in a couple hours if you want..."

He let the seat lay back as far as it could (which wasn't much, since this was a tiny convertible), and closed his eyes. Even if he wasn't worried about people outside the store, it would be pretty hard to sleep like this...

The one thing Terra would prefer not to do was impose. He was about to speak as the fabric was torn off, but he silenced himself as it was too late. He smiled feebly at the cat's kindness as he finished, then looked down at the hand that applied pressure to his wound. A small bit of blood was seen; a bit more than he thought, but it didn't bother him.

“You sleep well now. Rest assured, I will keep watch.” he said finding a spot in the nearby corner. He then sat down and induced a sort of half-meditation process. He needed to regain his lost strength and keep watch after all. The orbs that surfaced from the ground were not as bright as before and seemed to move slower, but this would have to do.

RE: Ted's Fuel Stop
About 30 minutes passed without incident, as Giichi tried to nod off to sleep.

However, a gloved hand slowly began to open the window pane that Giichi closed earlier. The hand moved very carefully so as not to make a sound.

Once the window got open about three inches, a small metal canister got tossed into the room. It bounced off the floor with a very loud clank, which would no doubt wake up the two travelers. But they wouldn't have enough time to do much of anything besides open their eyes, before the can exploded into a white cloud of smoke, completely filling the work shop and blocking out all visibility.

The clang definitely made Giichi wake up with a gasp, as he scrambled for his flashlight. But by the time he got it on, he couldn't even see his nose in front of his face. The flashlight just reflected off the smoke and made everything bright white around him.

"What the hell is this?!" he screamed.

Then, someone kicked in the door leading into the front office, and he distinctly heard two pairs of feet making their way inside...

As the can dropped, the green orbs vanished. Terra opened his emerald eyes only to have hindered vision.

"Giichi! What's going on!?" he shouted. The footsteps were heard and Terra readied himself. He had barely enough power to take the concrete around him and meld it to his body to form a sort of armor.

"Show yourselves, cowards!" he shouted at the attackers.

RE: Ted's Fuel Stop
One set of footsteps rapidly made its way to Giichi by way of his flashlight, while the other went after Terra's voice. Terra would hear a dagger being drawn out of a sheath, as the attacker attempted to plunge his dagger into Terra's shoulder. But the attacker would probably get a surprise from the rock armor. From what little Terra could see through the smoke, it looked to be someone of average build, wearing baggy clothing and with a rag sheathing the face except for the eyes.

Giichi's attacker appeared to be of similar garb, as he quickly rushed towards the flashlight. With a cry, he launched himself through the air and tackled Giichi backwards into the car, slamming him down on top of the driver's seat and center console. Giichi was disoriented from the impact and the smoke...but he could see the flash of a blade in the flashlight's dim beam. Gasping, he quickly grabbed the knife hand and held it aloft. But his attacker pressed hard down to stab him in the chest. Giichi strained hard from the effort, considering he only had average physical strength at best.

If Terra didn't hurry and help, Giichi was most likely going to get stabbed.

RE: Ted's Fuel Stop
The sudden noise of the blade unsheathing quickly caught his attention. It quickly escaped him as the sound of bodies slamming against the car alerted him. Besides, a blade wouldn't do much against his rock armor so his attacker wasn't a threat at the moment. The car's bright red color made it easy to find through the thick smoke. Two figures came into view, but he couldn't distinguish the them. With a closer look he saw a blur of tan, the color of Giichi. This is when he caught sight of the blade and Giichi was in serious trouble. With careful aiming, he pointed his extended left arm at the attacker.

"Hold still, Giichi." he called as the rocks on his fist was propelled at his attacker with incredible speed, ironically, in the shape of a fist.

RE: Ted's Fuel Stop
[You still need to react to the attacker coming after you, even if his knife won't do anything to your armor. Your post makes it look like he just decided to stop mid attack and wait for you to help Giichi for no reason. But oh well, I'll roll with it.]

Upon getting a closer look at Terra's armor, his attacker decided not to use the knife. Instead, he decided to simply leap on his back and tackle him to the floor, hoping the weight of the armor would make it difficult for him to get back up again.

Meanwhile, Terra's rocks pelted the back of the man holding down Giichi in the car. He gasped from the sudden pain as he got pelted by the rain of stone. He instinctively looked up to see what hit him.

That gave Giichi enough time to draw a sai from his belt and smack the guy across the face with it, causing him to drop the knife into the footwell by the cat's feet. Despite being out of immediate danger, Giichi still found himself at a disadvantage, considering his attacker had him pinned down and Giichi was smaller and weaker. The masked man decided to try choking him to death instead.

However, as Giichi gagged from the stranglehold, he managed to smack the man in the neck with the bottom of the sai, ironically causing Mr. Mask to reel backwards and gasp for air. The cat used that time to slip out from under him as fast as he could.

RE: Ted's Fuel Stop
As he was about to move in to help the sand cat, a sudden force from his backside toppled him over. The weight of the armor caused the ground to shake and left cracks in the floor. His exposed hand was kept raised to avoid injury. Terrador was almost like a turtle who had fell on it's shell. Despite his great physical strength, he couldn't push himself up, considering it had to be done with only one arm. A great idea formed in his mind, a way to capitalize the situation. He quickly slipped out of the armor while still leaving it whole, making it seem as if he was still there. He hoped his attacker would take this decoy so he can engage a suprise attack from his backside
