RE: The Hollowbrook
"Not that I am aware of. All I know of the one who made me is his name and where last him and I were together. His name was Runges, I believe he was captured by some kind of mechanical entities when a rift opened up over a place called Station Square? That's all I remember."
Milady seemed to be waking up from her short slumber, giving instructions to Relic. The way she commanded him, it seemed as though he's been under her rule for some time. SOLIS figured it might be a good idea to return to Nail so the armoured one could do what he needed to. "Would you mind returning me? I do not wish to be a burden." |

RE: The Hollowbrook
Priscilla looked at the strange device in Relic's hand. It spoke, something that caught her attention very quickly. Placing her paw out, Relic knew what he had to do. Handing SOLIS over to Priscilla he made his way to the sink.
The white wolf flipped the device around inspecting it. "I am getting no arcane waves from it, Have you discovered anything, brute?" "It runs on electricity." Drake responded handing the glass of water to his master. Vanessa Tancer Priscilla Relic Drake |

RE: The Hollowbrook
Nail stifled a frown as he watched Priscilla take the device. He really wanted to have it back. These two certainly would not do as long term allies, for they obviously had plans for him that would be at his expense. But the device might prove to be a very handy way to figure out what he would need to do next, once he got out of here. These two certainly weren't giving him much in the way of helpful information.
But since he appeared to be forgotten for the moment, Nail decided he'd change his clothes now that the cuffs were off. He moved to collect the shopping bags, and then scanned the room for a place to change. The closet in the back looked like a good place, so he walked right over with the bags in hand. |

[SOLIS has told me he will be absent for a couple months. He has allowed us to continue without him posting for the time being. We'll just say SOLIS is in sleep mode or something.]

RE: The Hollowbrook
"It doesn't run at all..." Priscilla said rotating the device around. With SOLIS once again in sleep mode there was nothing for the wolf to do with it. letting out a sigh, she dropped the device on the table near the couch.
"Now what to do about you..." she turned her attention to Nail. Taking a sip of water form the glass. Nail could feel her cold gaze on him, like he had a heat seeking missile locked onto his head. Relic didn't say anything. He was too busy re-equipping his arm and head. Finally fitting the helm on he began adjusting it so it could freely follow his movements. RE: The Hollowbrook
Nail cast a glance back at Priscilla when he felt her eyes upon him, but masked his annoyed feeling. After finishing that, he quickly stepped inside the closet and began changing out of the orange jumpsuit he'd cursed since he'd arrived in this place.
It felt so good to finally get it off, as if a giant weight were being lifted off of his shoulders. He rather felt like Hester in the book The Scarlet Letter, when she decided to briefly remove the letter 'A' from her clothes. But unlike Hester, he didn't have a rotten illegitimate child stamping her feet about him taking it off. Smirking at the thought, he quickly slipped into the clothes Priscilla had picked out. It looked like she'd grabbed khakis and a green button down shirt. That would do. He'd been worried she'd pick something crazy, but these definitely looked benign enough. He stepped out of the closet, not really paying any mind to the others. An old TV in the corner caught his attention. He suddenly realized it would be a great way to find out more about the place he was in. If only he could get to a news station or something. Nail briefly nodded to the old set in the corner. "Do you mind if I turn that on?" |

RE: The Hollowbrook
Priscilla gave Nail a smirk when he emerged from changing his clothes.
"Be my guest, It just makes this hissing sound, but maybe you're more versed with this worlds items." The wolf shifted on the couch, going from a sitting upright position to lounging back, taking the entire couch up for herself. Done with her glass of water, she tossed the cup at Relic. As if expecting it, he caught the fragile container between his fingers. Despite his size, he was no lumbering oaf. Vanessa Tancer Priscilla Relic Drake |

RE: The Hollowbrook
Shaking his head at Priscilla's smirk, Nail moved over to the TV. It appeared to be one of those really old TVs with a channel dial and an antennae. No wonder it didn't work that well. He doubted he'd be able to get much of a signal on this thing, but he'd at least have to try. Crouching down beside it, Nail pressed the on button. As Priscilla promised, he saw only static snow and the usual noise that accompanied it.
His paws immediately moved to the rabbit ears on the set, as he started twisting them around in the hopes of getting a signal. He changed channels a few times and contorted the antennae in all sorts of ways, but still wasn't able to get anything to show up. At long last though, a faint image of what looked like a news anchor started to fade in through the static. "In other newzzzz....fleet of Robotnik shipzzz....on the way...Angel Island." Robotnik?! Robotnik is here?! Nail began trying many different configurations on the rabbit ears. The anchor began to come into focus, and his voice could be heard in bits and pieces. But he kept losing the picture. Nail almost looked like he was having a hissy fit with the antennae as he worked busily and noisily to get the picture to come into focus. At last though, he seemed to have the image semi-stabilized. Nail decided to let it be for the moment, as he doubted he could make it much better. The anchor's voice still had a buzzing edge to it from the image not coming in crystal clear, but he could still make out words even if it was annoying. "It is unknown...Robotnik...up to. Military advizorzzz are szzplit on whether or not to send a scouting force. One side stressezz the importance of gathering intelligence on Robotnik'zzz doing, while the other side sayzzz the deployment would leave our city ill-equipped to deal with a szzzudden attack." The image now shifted to a horde of air ships bearing Robotnik's logo flying over lots of small country towns but bypassing them completely. They were heading out to sea, possibly to where Angel Island now resided in this universe or wherever he was. "Doesn't look like much has changed..." Nail mused aloud. So Robotnik was still around in this world, although the anchor hadn't mentioned Sonic and the others. At least he knew Shadow was here. And apparently the city had a problem maintaining its defenses. Nail's eyes would suddenly shoot away from the TV and stare off into space as he had a sudden idea. If she were watching Nail, Priscilla would note his pointy ears appeared to perk up and point straight in the air. The hybrid whirled around to face Priscilla, with his first genuine smile since he'd seen her flashing across her face. He quickly strode over, sat down in a recliner near her couch, and leaned towards her. His demeanor had suddenly changed from that of a reluctant hang-on to that of a businessman trying to talk through a deal. "Priscilla, I have a proposition for you. This city looks like it's in need of more soldiers, and I have a lot of experience in warfare. How about I go run down to the military here and see if I could work for them? I bet I'd be able to pay you back pretty quickly for all you've done for me. Soldier and mercenary work is what I did before I went in." |

RE: The Hollowbrook
Priscilla frowned at Nail "Priscilla??!!" her eyes' went livid for a moment. She was tempted to sic Relic on the half wolf for his grievous error but wasn't too fond of the idea of looking for more help. Drake prepared to to be on Nail, knowing something like this could send Priscilla into a scornful rage.
The large knight moved towards Nail, the Necro Shine finding it's way into his hand. The ghost like chain extended downward silently. the only sound in the room was Drake's harsh foot steps. Every action Relic took screamed pure violence at Nail, the dread knight sent waves of what could only be described as an intent to kill or maim. Nail now knew what is was like to be in a horror film. Deciding against having the need to look for new help, Lady Priscilla raised her hands. Having calmed down from her very brief spout of frustration. "Lady" her voice was harsh, like she was trying to punch Nail upside the head with her words, "Priscilla. Make that mistake again and this Relic turns you into lady Duke." Each one of her words was clearly filled with vexation, stressed and drawn out. Vanessa Tancer Priscilla Relic Drake |

RE: The Hollowbrook
Priscilla (Nail certainly wouldn't think of her as a "Lady" in his own thoughts) once again had brought out the brute to scare Nail again. Honestly though, the hybrid actually felt like he was starting to get used to this guy being around and it wasn't working nearly as well as it did before at scaring him. Priscilla really needed to expand outside of this one-trick pony routine.
If Relic was to kill him, well, that would be that. The monster would only do it on Priscilla's command or if he attacked her. Nail didn't plan to do the latter (at least not right now), so he figured he would do better to look at the wolf controlling him and watch what she would do. Resisting the urge to turn around at the loud footfalls, he fixed a steely gaze on this supposed "Lady" and didn't look away for anything. (Death Glare move) If the wolf thought her gaze was frightening, she hadn't seen anything yet. As she returned her frustrated gaze to Nail and locked eyes with him, his golden eyes would appear to somewhat glow, and everything around him would appear to fade away until she'd see nothing but his black silhouette and those bright yellow eyes glowing like small torches in the darkness, as if he were possessed by a primal evil. Relic and everything else in the room would seem to disappear from view and it would feel like she was the one being stalked by a monster alone instead of Nail. As this would take effect on her, Nail would speak evenly and politely to her. But his voice would come through as distorted and demon-like to her, while everything would look and sound perfectly normal to Relic behind him. "Lady Priscilla..." Nail used an edge of sarcasm on saying 'lady'. "I apologize for not using your correct title. However, if we are to have a business relationship, I humbly request you show me a little respect in return. I do not appreciate how you have treated me so far. Do you understand? May we go back to talking about my proposal?" |
