RE: The Hollowbrook
(Sorry B-day + New years, happy new years btw.))
"Life and death? Such trivial concerns are beneath me." Priscilla had her usual air of self importance about her. "I told you, my era dawns upon this world! Now quit asking questions and look sharp." the wolf turned to Drake "When can we expect them to come?" Of course the lady lupine let Relic manage the time tables. Not known for letting others do her work for her, Relic was a special case. Proving to be near mechanical in terms of reliability. "With in the hour milady." Vanessa Tancer Priscilla Relic Drake |

RE: The Hollowbrook
Even life and death are beneath you? Somehow I doubt that. One day it will get you killed, and then I think the world will cheer for it.
Clearly he wasn't going to get any more information out of Priscilla for the moment. He thought about telling them he was just going to doze off for the hour, but he didn't feel comfortable at all sleeping with the big guy around here. So instead he decided to return his attention to the ancient TV set to see what more he could learn about the world. [I'm ready to fast forward to this mission if you'd like to do that.] |

RE: The Hollowbrook
Lady Priscilla seemed pleased with Relic's response. Once again relaxing back into the coach. The only thing left now to do was wait for the guys from the thieves guild to show up. Priscilla had noticed there was more then one way to get back into that room.
She was sure she could slowly take over the guild by herself. She had done things of that sort before. Using her charms and guile to sow sedition and mistrust into a group. Though that wasn't the plan today. Today she'd use Relic's tools to instill fear and dread to quickly interrogate who ever showed up. Upon finding out who was the leader, or how far up the chain they knew, they would start their climb. The wolf had no doubt in her mind it would be a short one to the top. RE: The Hollowbrook
[You want me to roleplay as the Guild members, right?]
After an hour had passed, Priscilla would hear a soft knock on the door. Upon opening it, she would be greeted by a group of normal-looking anthros, dressed in average street clothes. The leader of the group, the raccoon that Priscilla had met earlier in the bar, would introduce the group. "You're the one who requested some men from our humble organization, correct? We're ready to do the job when you are. Could you give us a brief...ing...?" His voice would trail off upon seeing the imposing Relic standing in the back of the room. Once again, the beast's presence seemed to dominate the air around the whole meeting. The other guild members behind the raccoon leader would take one look, and then meekly back around behind the doorframe out of sight, if they weren't pushed up to the door by others. Nail himself would strain to get a look at these guild people, whoever they were. However, since they were so plainly dressed (no doubt to not draw attention), he'd need some time to gauge them. |

RE: The Hollowbrook
Priscilla had a mischievous grin when she saw the groups collective face. It was never tiring watching people gape in awe at Relic, whom she had almost complete control over.
"Come in gentlemen." She assertively pulled the raccoon through the threshold. With a head nod she gestured to Nail to get the rest of them inside. The wolf had a bit of practice on Relic, so giving non verbal commands came second nature to her. Vanessa Tancer Priscilla Relic Drake |

RE: The Hollowbrook
The group seemed to wonder what they had gotten themselves into, as this wolf appeared to take delight in their reactions to Relic. Then she suddenly yanked the raccoon into the room by his shirt. He gasped in surprise from the move, and was suddenly pulled in full view of the monster. The anthro tried to blow it off casually as he smoothed out his shirt again, but his legs appeared to shake in fright as he halfway glanced at Relic at all times.
For once, Nail smiled sincerely as he followed Priscilla's commands. It truly would be a blessing to have company now aside from those two. Maybe one of them could even be his ticket out of here if he played his cards right. After the raccoon entered, he immediately held his hand out to the next person at the door. It looked to be a tabby cat. Still with his eyes on Relic, the cat decided to take the hybrid's hand since he clearly looked to be the friendliest of the group. "Hi! Name's Nail. How you doing? Don't mind him, just come on in." The hybrid's presence clearly helped to relax the mood, as Nail pulled the cat into the room (albiet much more gently than Priscilla). The others slowly shuffled in, a little bit alleviated to have somebody like them in the room but all the same terrified of both Relic and Priscilla. Aside from nervous whispers amongst the group about the medieval pair, no one said anything. Despite the ample seating at the couches and the nearby table, most of the thieves decided to remain standing. Obviously they wanted to be able to move suddenly if Relic did anything. Feeling a bit awkward, the raccoon sat down in a recliner near the coffee table and waited for Priscilla to set down. "So...what is it you need our services for?" And what the hell is your bodyguard? He also wanted to add, but thought it would be rather rude (not to mention dangerous) to ask about the figurative elephant in the room right now. Off to the back, Nail stood near the other thieves. He really wanted to get them alone and talk to them some. So far most of his information about where he was now had simply been through Priscilla and what he could get off the television. It annoyed him greatly that he wasn't free to go outside and figure out more about what he was going to do. But one of these guys might be able to shed some light or maybe even get him a way out of here. The hybrid was going to make it a point to have a serious talk with the raccoon or one of his lackeys before they parted ways. |

RE: The Hollowbrook
Now that the wolf had gotten the small group of men into the room, she sat back on the couch. Smiling triumphantly she simply nodded to Relic.
The knight walked forward toward the men. His arm folded over his broad chest. The titanic left gauntlet clenched over his right bicep. Due to his manic curse, he had to vent by rapping the dagger like digits against his armor. His wings flat against his back would look more like a chain mail cape then anything. A visible sneer plastered on his helm. It was hard to tell if the knight was flesh and blood under the armor. His voice bellowed forth, the sheer force of the air exiting his lungs could be felt. Even though he was just speaking. "You stand at the cusp of a new age." he gave each person a separate look. Making sure they where paying attention. "An age that will be forged thoughtfully, beautifully, brutally." Relic's tone dropped low on the last word, hammering the point in he was describing himself with it. The large fox moved to a chest, placing his foot on it. Dragging what sounded incredibly heavy out with his talons, he opened it. Almost fully filled, with money and jewelry, silver ware. "Take a hold of your destiny and help forge the new age" he slammed the chest shut. "or be ground to dust by the thunders of the north wind! Vanessa Tancer Priscilla Relic Drake |

RE: The Hollowbrook
Without thinking about it, the men subtly backed up. Their hands unconsciously drifted towards the insides of their coats or their pockets, where Nail figured they had weapons stashed. Even the stoutest among them winced and narrowed their eyes or grit their teeth as Relic's hot breath blasted at them while he spoke.
The raccoon suddenly regretted being the bravest one, as he was closest to Relic sitting in the middle of the room. He backed up as far into the cushion as he could while clutching at the armrests, bending the fabric and padding to a considerable length. In contrast to the others, Nail stood stock still with a blank, almost bored expression on his face. He was used to Relic's little displays of power by this point. The hybrid simply crossed his arms and held his ground as the beast did his thing. A few of the anthros backing into the corner looked at him like he was crazy. Nail simply thought that Priscilla really needed to get a new schtick with this monster. He was starting to feel like a one-trick pony. When Relic displayed the cash in the chest though, a few stared at the sparkling treasure with the monster almost forgotten. Obviously with a few, money would be more than enough for them to stomach being around Relic. Meanwhile, those with more reservations glanced back and forth between the knight and the gold, as if unsure if they could accept both. As for Nail himself, he wasn't all that tempted, even with not knowing the gold was there before. You throw your cards in with someone more powerful than you, and then they'll just backstab you once they're done with you. He couldn't wait to go back to being freelance again. Hopefully, one of these guys could give him a way out. Back to the raccoon (and everyone else in the room for that matter), he honestly didn't know how to respond with what Priscilla had done before. His jaw quivered a bit. Sighing, Nail decided to get things back on track. "Lady Priscilla," all the thieves in the room whirled around to face him, surprised by him standing up. Despite the tension in the air Nail spoke with the relaxed tone that he'd used before with his deathly glare. "He asked you a question. What are we all here for? What do you need us to do? Maybe then these guys can make a more informed decision to join your new age, hmm?" Nail made eye contact with Priscilla again, although this time he decided not to turn up the nightmare fuel. He just hoped that the eyes might remind her of what she had been through a little while ago and then they'd get to the bloody point of this whole thing. Nail was tired of all the theatrical BS. |

RE: The Hollowbrook
"It's simple." The wolf started. "I'm placing myself in charge, and you all are going to help me." she stated with a matter of fact tone.
"I promise you, wealth and power beyond what your feeble mind's could even dream of, besides..." She snapped her finger at Relic. the giant lowered his gauntlet to let her step on it. Elevating her just a few feet over the group. "If I could tame this brute, Do you doubt my words?" Vanessa Tancer Priscilla Relic Drake |

RE: The Hollowbrook
The group went silent. From the looks on a few people's faces, they appeared to be seriously contemplating this proposal. Nail waited with a small mixture of dread and anxiousness as to what the group might say. After about ten seconds, a rooster stood up.
"I'm in with ya'll," he drawled, as a wide grin crossed his face. "Our boss right now sucks anyway, don't he guys?" The smile appeared to be contagious, as it crossed the faces of a few other people in the room. Apparently some of the Guild people here were just waiting for someone to speak up and express how they felt, since they themselves were too afraid to talk to someone with a giant on her side. Nail resisted the urge to let out a long sigh, not to mention the urge to walk over to them and try talking them out of this. He didn't care how much their boss sucked. Surely it couldn't be worse than Priscilla here. But he simply couldn't speak to them right now, or he'd probably be signing his death warrant. Priscilla's first order to these guys might be to sic them on him. Alas though, group think appeared to be in effect right now. "I agree with ya, Shawn. Ajax has gotta go. I got tired of working for him like a year ago." "Me too. Been thinking about going to another Guild branch for a while." "We should totally go down there right now and give Ajax a piece of our mind!" Nail did have a hope spot though. One of the group, a mole, stood up and started walking for the door as he shook his head. A few others, upon seeing this, moved to join him. Immediately, Nail made it a point to try remembering their faces. He looked them over intently as he tried to remember as many details about their physical appearances as possible. He'd need to try to hunt these guys down later and talk to them. |
