As soon as he heard Chadin shouted out, Gerald stopped to open his. As he looked over towards the island with his arms at his sides, he felt a shiver run down his spine. He looked at the sight bemused as his headache calmed down now that he was ignoring it.

“Where’s the fire coming from?!” It was the first thing on his mind. He tried to get a closer look by leaning over the railing, but it was no use. All he could see was smoke puffing out from the island.

Vanessa was finding out the hard way that any movement Chadin and the others felt was greatly amplified on the top of the mast. The gentle rocking was making her sway a couple of feet.
Loosing her footing after about 3 minutes at the top, she plummeted to the deck. Managing not to become a paint stain by decelerating her fall. Though it did hurt like hell. She had landed on her front, chest and face, her lower body bent backwards as gravity attempted to fold her up briefly.
Laying flat on the ground she pushed herself up, her only injury was she was kinda red in the face. "I hate boats..." she groaned.

Ji and Anu had gotten a slight bit seasick (being native to the desert, they had practically no sea legs). Ji quickly forgot her nausea, however, when Vanessa faceplanted in front of her.

The pharaoh couldn't resist a wisecrack. "Hey. You were the one who insisted on taking the highest seat available."

Anu, on the other hand, had his attention on the smoke. He wasn't sure what was causing it, but the reactions of the others made it seem like it was a very bad thing.
