Pursuing Robotnik's fleet

[Gerald Robotnik]

[I'm good with it. Vanessa, post already! ><]

[Vanessa Blue]

Vanessa approached the crowd in a bad mood. On the way Gerald had kept her short attention span from getting the two lost on tangents. The blue cat had wanted to stop and get sandwiches and ice cream the entire time. With the doctor constantly reminding he they where on an important trip. To say the least Vanessa was feeling ice cream deprived and rather moody.

She found Chadin and latched on to his are whining right into his ear. "Dumb thinker wouldn't let me get any ICE CREAM AND I AM STARVING HE'S DUMB!" she was almost shouting right in the deer's ear.

[Jijeka-Te]

(Ji) "...Costume party?"
(Anu) "Just ignore it, Your Highness."

Ji and Anu followed without intervening with the conversation.

[Gail Strafer]

Gail grinned at the sea captain's eagerness, and prepared to answer they'd like to board. However, he got interrupted when three newcomers suddenly showed up at the same ship. The wolf heard the deer refer to the fleet overhead as Robotnik's fleet. Were they planning to go fight him too?

He turned around and prepared to ask the deer about it...but then he got suddenly interrupted by his blue cat companion yelling about ice cream right into the deer's ear. For a second he just stood there dumbfounded, but then shook his head and decided to pursue his original question. Time was of the essence right now, and he really didn't have time to be distracted by such a petty issue. If they were going to the same place, he could just ask on the boat.

"Excuse me Mr. Deer, are you planning to go fight Robotnik too? That's what we're doing too. Maybe you can come on our boat, right Mr. Captain...?" The wolf paused in his speech as he turned around, realizing he hadn't caught the captain's name.

The captain chuckled for a bit, before he said "You can call me Captain Kirk. And this ship is the Enterprise."

Gail's jaw held open for a second in disbelief.

"Haha, no, I be kiddin'. Just call me Captain Danny. You three newcomers are welcome to ride too. The more the merrier! Hahaha!"

He made his way down the dock, walking towards an old-looking fishing trawler. As he did so, Gail introduced himself.

"My name is Gail Strafer. You could say I'm just an adventurer out looking for a good time, and chasing Robo looks like fun. We've also got Ji and Anu here... They're from a really different time than me because of the merge, obviously."

He stood aside to allow the two to shake hands with Chadin, Vanessa, and Gerald.

[Chadin]

"AAAAGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!" Yeah... I think I may have mentioned my ears are pretty sensitive to sound before.

"DO YOU MIND!!!!!!" I wailed, in full fury as pushed Vanessa off me. "DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW SENSITIVE A DEER'S EAR IS!?!?! YOU DON'T GO SHOUTING IN SOMEONE'S EAR AT THE BEST OF TIMES, WHY DO YOU HAVE TO GO SHOUTING IN MINE?!?!"

I clutched my throbbing ear and cringed in pain. "Ooohhh... Agh, that ear's going to be ringing for hours now...." I groaned.

"Excuse me Mr. Deer, are you planning to go fight Robotnik too? That's what we're doing too. Maybe you can come on our boat, right Mr. Captain...?"

"Ooohhh... Yeah, that's exactly what I plan to do; and we'd be very grateful for a ride." I answered as I followed Gail down the dock; still rubbing my poor ringing ear.

"My name is Gail Strafer. You could say I'm just an adventurer out looking for a good time, and chasing Robo looks like fun. We've also got Ji and Anu here... They're from a really different time than me because of the merge, obviously."

"Name's Chadin. I'm a Freedom Fighter. This is Vanessa and Gerald, we... Wait... did you say you're chasing after Robotnik because it sounds like fun?! Do you even know who Robotnik is?! This is going to be dangerous!!"

[Gerald Robotnik]

Gerald simply shook his head at Vanessa’s display, and treated it with a light grin. As he walked up with the group he knew and the new group that they had just joined up. By now, he felt like nothing was going to surprise him and seeing two people from an age that was probably ancient compared to him and the wolf were no expectation. As the wolf introduced himself, he saw Chadin’s reaction of surprise. Gerald wasn’t the least bit shocked at all that someone would go after Robotnik for the heck of it as he followed them down the dock. He looked over towards Chadin and spoke with a somewhat dull tone.


“You’ve obviously haven’t met someone in your life that would –do- dangerous things; -Just- to do it.” He sounded as though he was talking from experience, and he was. He couldn’t count on his fingers the times he and his brother had gotten into some kind of dangerous trouble. Ben was always thinking of some crazy idea and got him involved- whether he wanted to be or not. He knocked his thoughts out as he began to get his mind back on track.

“The more important question right now is –what- that mad-man is doing on that island!”

[Vanessa Blue]

Vanessa couldn't help but laugh and ignore Chadin's annoyance with her when she saw Ji and Anu. "Ha ha oh wow, if I saw you on the street, I would have jacked yer ****!" The cat stopped dead in her tracks when she met Gail. He eyes filled with awe. "A B-bear!" she was stammering with excitement. "I never met a bear before, Yo Grey bear you like honey?" It wasn't long before she was in Gail's face. "It doesn't matte if you like honey, bear, I am gonna be the one to kick Robotnik's limp **** pasty ugly stupid looking **** up and down the **** **** ****!" something about Gail gave her that old feeling, like someone in the room could actually be fun to fight. That feeling always made her tomboyism show exceedingly.

Ji wasn't that happy about Vanessa saying she'd jack their... she had no idea what that word at the end meant, she'd never heard it before. And it was quickly joined by a lot more words like it.

Still, she was fairly certain she and Anu had been insulted-- not to mention a few others-- and she wasn't going to let it go.

After Vanessa moved over to Gail, Ji silently brought her royal crook out and attempted to hook Vanessa's neck with it and yank her back over. She wanted to have some words with this annoyance of a cat.

(Anu) "Um, Your Maje--"
(Ji) "Ssh."

[Gail Strafer]

Gail rolled his eyes and sighed at Chadin's criticism.

"Yeah, I know who Robotnik is. Sonic kicks his ass all the time, after all. So if he can, why can't I? I'm indestructable, after all and it sounds like a great way to impress girls!" The wolf proudly beat his chest. Clearly, his body surged with testosterone, and he had the full feeling of youthful invincibility within him.

He was about to say some more when the crazy cat said something about a bear. None were around, but he immediately noticed she was looking straight at him. With how she'd treated Chadin before, he did not like the looks of this. Sure enough, she ran right over to him and got straight in his face. Although at least he stood much taller than the others in the group (except for the human, of course), so she had to stand on her tippy toes to get close to his muzzle.

"I guess I like honey...but I'm not a bear. I'm a gray wolf."

He briefly turned to Gerald, as if expecting an explanation for why she seemed to be acting like this. He didn't see the small Ji sneaking up behing Vanessa, however.

[Chadin]

I rolled my eyes at Gail's macho bravado. Sure, Sonic fights Robotnik all the time, but he has an edge that I very much doubted this wolf has. Unless Robotnik hates the sound of wolves howling at the moon anyway. So either this guy really has no idea what he's getting into or his balls are bigger than his brains. Heck, I've been fighting Robotnik for years and it still scares me.

"Don't bother arguing with her." I sighed in resignation as Vanessa once again managed to completely change topics mid-sentence. I rubbed my sore ear vehemently to try and stop the ringing, but as always it didn't help much. "She kept insisting I was a moose when we first met. These days she keeps calling me her little brother."

Those other two accompanying Gail were certainly a colourful pair. The clothes were ornate, to say the least; hardly what I personally would call functional. Leather is tough and durable, handy traits where you're crawling around on your belly across rough ground through bushes and brambles while sneaking up on SWATbots. Plus my clothes are fairly form fitting, meaning there's not a lot of extra clothe fluttering around and getting snagged.
