RE: Rum Valley bar (Thieves meet up)
"Nail! NAIL!" The hybrid whipped around, spotting one of his men (a badger) waving as they took fire from behind their van barricade. Frowning, Nail quickly rushed back to listen to the panicked punk. "They got some kind of magician with them! Look! He just made a wall of rock appear from nowhere!" Eyes widening in surprise, Nail peeked through the van's cracked window. Sure enough, some sort of mage was raising up walls for the Guild Loyalists to hide behind. That would definitely make this approach all but indefensible, not to mention that mage could have plenty of other tricks up his sleeve. "Tell everyone out here...that echidna is Priority #1. Take him out if you can get a good shot." But now that the echidna was protected by his own wall, they wouldn't be able to get a clear shot. He'd need to get higher up, and he'd also need something more accurate. As he did so, he whipped his head back to face the badger. And then Augustine spotted what weapon he held in his hand. The hybrid's eyes briefly seemed to light up as he saw the punk's weapon. To Nail's eyes, it looked as beautiful as any sort of jewel or gold chest you could find. M1 Garand...a classic rifle. Eight rounds of .308 Winchester ammunition. When all eight rounds are expended, makes a distinctive 'ping' sound as the clip is ejected. Used in wars over 70 years ago, but still a reliable workhorse if kept in good condition. They still use the M1's sights on its desencants, the M14 and M39 EBR. My kind of weapon too...semi-automatic for long range fire. Granted though, this one looked kind of rough. Scratches all over the wood and rust here and there on the metal bits. Like everything else he'd picked up today though, Nail knew he'd just have to make do. He couldn't help but admire the very shiny, very sharp bayonet on the end too. Nail wasn't a close-quarters guy but it definitely would be great to turn his gun into a spear at a second's notice, if he were surprised. "May I have that?" Nail said, pointing at the rifle. A rare smile tugged at the corner's of the hybrid's mouth. For a second you'd think he was having dinner in someone's house rather than in a gunfight. Of course, since the badger had come to respect Nail's judgment, he handed it over along with spare clips. "Thanks...now I need to get high up." And with that, the hybrid took off down the alleyway with a group in tow. He looked around for and quickly found what he was after...a fire escape. The bottom ladder was of course too far off the ground to grab though, so he had some of his men quickly help him up. After giving them some directions on proceeding down the alleyway, Nail proceeded to the roof of the building. "SOLIS, you awake?" he said to his new 'cellphone'. "Can you sense anyone on the rooftops?" |

RE: Rum Valley bar (Thieves meet up)
"Whoa..."
Marco looked stunned, as he saw the wall coming up like magic. He'd never seen anything like this before. As Terrador ran back over, he couldn't help but gaze in awe at the echidna's power. "Man! Where do you learn how to do that kind of stuff? I want to know how to do that!" The wall came up just in time, as they'd hear loud cracks from rounds pelting the solid rock. Quickly the riflemen took up positions at the holes and returned fire. Now however, it looked like the traitors at the other end of the street had retrieved some other trucks and dumpsters, and were now starting to push them down the street to use as shields from the bullets. [I'm kind of rushing this, but I think it's taking too long for my guys to reach Terrador and Am. You guys want to get to the fight, don't you?] |

RE: Rum Valley bar (Thieves meet up)
While it's screen was off, SOLIS had been paying attention, particularly to whatever security feeds it could get ahold of. Of particular interest was a weather website that had a live video feed of the Soleanna skyline. Using it's internal map, it was able to identify the particular building in the feed. From it's angle, it couldn't identify anything on the roof that was not to be expected. Coupled with that, the one stairway it could see from the cameras had been pretty quiet.
"I have a view of the rooftops from a nearby tower, it appears clear, but I can only see from one angle." |

RE: Rum Valley bar (Thieves meet up)
(Eh, I'm all down for the fight lol.)
Terrador reached his original spot and stopped in his tracks. He spared Marco a glance as his abiities were admired. The echidna let out a small huff before speaking "I was born with this ability. It was not until the age of six was I able to harness such power." He replied sternly, his facial expression was unwavering much like his element. The sudden barrage of bullets did so much as make him flinch breifly. "That is only a small example of the power I hold." He went on as he applied another swift stomp. A fair amount of the concrete surrounding them lifted into the air. Terrador outstretched his arms to the sides and spread his feet apart. With a surge of Geokinetic energy, all four of his marking donned a green glow. The concrete clung to his body and melded into his shape, forming an armor of solid rock. His uncovered jade orbs looked in Marco's directions. "I will get their attention, perhaps take some out. You get your men assembled. That wall will not hold for long" He said as he dashed for the wall, taking a mighty leap over it. His armor would only be able to withstand only a couple moments of gunfire before its defences were broken. Terrador wasn't much of a strategist when it came to gunfire. He felt this idea of his had no implications. |

RE: Rum Valley bar (Thieves meet up)
[sorry there's just no much for me to say or do atm]
Am looked up into the sky "keep me updated Sarah." "copy that" Am turned and watched Terra jump over the wall in his improvised armor. "just what on Earth does he think he's doing?" Am asked himself silently. "aww look at that Am. Your new Mobian friends are so desperate to get away from you they're willing to be shot to pieces to accomplish it." Sarah chimed in. Am shot a nasty look at the sky where he knew the ship was floating around somewhere "Full of love and support as always eh Sarah?" "oh course, that's what I'm here for" |

RE: Rum Valley bar (Thieves meet up)
The Guild Traitors couldn't believe their eyes. Someone had just jumped over the barricade wearing some sort of armor. Who would be crazy enough to do that, even with armor? And then the punks couldn't help but spot the general figure and muzzle of the echidna that Nail told them to shoot first.
"It's him! The echidna! Kill him!" Suddenly, Terrador had much more attention than he'd bargained for. Immediately he'd find many of the guns trained on his rock wall now pointing straight at him and firing. --- However, Marco hadn't just been twiddling his thumbs as he watched Terrador jump over the wall. He didn't know how well the concrete armor would stand up to bullets and he didn't want to allow for a test. "Suppressive fire! Keep him alive!" A renewed wave of bullets flew past Terrador, shooting at his attackers. A handful of Guild Traitors went down, while the rest took refuge behind their cars and dumpsters to reload. --- "Thank you for the intel, SOLIS. You should see me on camera in just a second." Meanwhile, Nail completed his climb to the roof of the buildings lining the street. It really was a beautiful skyline, but he had no time to admire it. The hybrid sprinted for the other end of the roof so he'd have a view of the action. However...he thought he saw something out of the corner of his eye. Snapping his head up, he looked down the row of roofs between him and the Loyalist stronghold. Some sort of cat...observing the battle and calling out commands on a radio. No doubt he was their scout. While the hybrid wanted to go hunting for that echidna, he figured he might as well take out the cat since he didn't seem to notice Nail. It would only take a moment. "You missed someone SOLIS. But don't worry. I'll take him out." Shouldering the M1, Nail brought the weapon to bear. In less than a second, he had the cat's forehead centered in the irons' center post, in the middle of the back ring. The hybrid gently squeezed the trigger... |

RE: Rum Valley bar (Thieves meet up)
Meanwhile, Giichi watched with a mix of admiration and terror as his new echidna friend leaped over the barricade and confronted the traitors head on. Armor or not, he figured that would be suicide. He promptly leaned down and cupped his mouth with his paws to call out to him.
"Terrador! Get back behind the wall!" Suddenly, a loud crack thundered through the air above the rooftops, then a bullet whistled past the top of Giichi's head. It actually took a few strands of fur off of his scalp along with it. For a second, the cat thought he'd been hit. When he realized he hadn't, he quickly jumped behind an air conditioning unit. In the process he caught a fleeting glance of Gray on the roof with him, now wielding a rifle. If Giichi could hear Nail, he'd hear the hybrid swearing at his gun and then at himself for not checking it before firing. Apparently the sights on the M1 were misaligned too low, and Nail stopped to frantically twist the dial on the side and readjust. Meanwhile, Giichi got on his radio. "Hey Marco! That sniper's up here and he's after me! Send some help!" --- "Roger Giichi." Marco quickly walked over to Am and pat him on the shoulder. "Look, Giichi's in trouble on the roof up there," he said, quicky pointing to the building that the cat had used to show off his parkour skills. "Think you can get up there and help him out? A sniper's after him." --- [Let me describe the full layout of this battlefied so everyone knows where everyone is. General layout: - one long street, with the Loyalists behind Terrador's wall at one end and the Traitors advancing down the street from the other end. Am is currently behind the wall in the Loyalist "base" while Terrador has just leaped over their wall. - The street is lined by buildings about four stories high, packed together. Nail and Giichi are on the roofs of the buildings on one side of the street. Giichi is observing from the roof of a building near the Loyalists' end of the street, while Nail is advancing from the traitor's end. - There are alleyways behind the rows of buildings that other guild traitors are making their way up. Do you all get it now?] |

RE: Rum Valley bar (Thieves meet up)
[Sorry if I should have spotted him, I'm kind of confused as to where everyone is right now >~<]
SOLIS didn't respond to Nail's comments, as it felt doing so would only be injecting more information into the situation than was necessary, choosing instead to continue scanning for whatever information it could, and one of the radio channels in particular caught it's attention. "Nail, I believe I've found a radio channel your targets are using for communication. Your target may be getting reinforcements here shortly. Would you like me to patch it through or disable it?" Patching it through would give him more intel on the going-ons of his targets, while sending a blast of white noise and garbled voice clips would effectively drown out any attempts at communicating any longer. Both seemed equally useful to it, since it had no experience with this sort of situation, so trusting it to Nail seemed best for the time being. |

RE: Rum Valley bar (Thieves meet up)
Terrador landed in a slightly crouched position with a thud. His increased weight from the armor shook the ground breifly and left a small crater. He got to his feet to see the traitors fixing their aim onto him. His body skid back to a small extent as bullets bounced off his armor. Small chunks of rock pinged off in rapid succession and it wouldn't be long before they began to peirce his body. He needed to act quickly while the enemy was reloading. He couldn't just approach them like he was. That would be more suicide than his current actions. Giichi's scream fell on deaf ears considering rock was pressing up against his, not to mention the distance. His ears were already ringing from the amount of gunfire.
Without a second to lose, the Geomancer sprinted forward a few steps. He suddenly took a step backwards. The traitors would see the armor still in an upright position as if he were still inside. The hollowed out eye sections would contradict such a thing. This empty armor would only be seen for a breif moment before Terrador sent if flying with a mighty left kick at the parked car a few were hiding behind. The sheer weight of this would plow through the car effortlessly. The echidna then appeared to suddenly vanish into the ground as he used both his Geokinetic energies plus the spikes on his knuckles to burrow just beneath the surface. He made his way over to the dumpster farthest to the right rather quickly where the others were. Once close enough, he would emerge from the ground as fast as he entered and pummel any nearby opponents into submission with his fists. Any foe wuthin range would suffer a great deal of damage from both the spikes on his knuckles and his formidable strength. |
