RE: Rum Valley bar (Thieves meet up)
[I'm making some assumptions here, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.]

SOLIS couldn't quite figure out what was making Nail so nervous. Although Relic and the white wolf were intimidating, they were still presumably on his side, and by extension it's own. Still, if he felt uncomfortable, perhaps examining what it could would be a good idea. It printed across the top of a blank black screen, "I'll see what I can find."

A scan of available standard networks revealed a vulnerability in the RPC protocol in a remote desktop service of a nearby computer, allowing SOLIS to gain full control virtually instantly. Outdated protocols, along with rather unimpressive stats suggested this was far from top of the line, but it did what it was supposed to. A quick glance at the screen showed several greyscale images in one window, which looked like camera feeds. Most of the feeds lacked anything of interest, though two caught it's virtual eyes, so it patched them through to it's own screen for Nail. The first feed of interest appeared to be of the lobby of the tavern, showing the various patrons enjoying their drinks or watching the commotion outside. The second showing something large and metallic, though what it was exactly couldn't be made out.

"Another transceiver has been found as well," wrote the device, "but it doesn't appear to be responding to connection requests. Would you like me to examine it further?"

RE: Rum Valley bar (Thieves meet up)
Out of the blue a rushing noise was heard. A a large object zoomed by everyone, landing next to the mysterious Ajax. A pair of large, thick, very humanoid robot legs landed next to the man. Only being a pelvis with legs it stood up to Relic's chest.
Soon the rest of the body followed, the chest and arms. All joining separately. They formed a 15 foot tall chromed out robot.

"UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS ATTEMPTED - CEASING WIDE RANGE PROTOCOLS" it boomed out in a stereotypical robotic voice. The silver robot had a very round look to it. Lacking any hard angles. It's head had two 'eyes' and a static 'mouth'.

"PROVIDING ASSISTANCE"

Relic took a half step back. He didn't know what to make of the metal golem. Neither did Priscilla. "Hmmph, is that supposed to impress me?" the wolf let out.
The others though seemed to second guess this plan.

[My post also makes a little assumption about what is in that second camera feed. Correct me if wrong.]

Nail gazed with curiousity at the second feed. Something big and metal. But what was that? Whatever it was, it left the frame quickly. Before he had time to ponder the meaning of this, the metallic object on the screen zipped right past him and landed next to Ajax.

Then another...and another piece. All came together to form some sort of giant robot thing straight out of one of Kittehranger's costume department. If they took it to a soundstage with a miniature city to crush it would look totally perfect there. So much for the mystery of what that second camera showed.

"Never mind SOLIS. I think we've got bigger problems now. What could you do about that robot over there?"

The hybrid considered it futile to shoot at the robot. However, Ajax still stood by without moving, and thus presented himself as a vulnerable target. If he took out Ajax, maybe the robot would power down without its master to control it. Nail raised up his pistol and aimed for the mysterious hooded figure.

"Would you like me to shoot him, Lady Priscilla?"

[I can honestly say I can't think of anything good to write. Mind if I just pass for this round?]

The large robot acted instantly seeing Nail's action. It leaned forward at a 90 degree angle. Putting it's head level with the half wolf's. For a brief moment 2 large cylinders popped up from it's shoulders. "NEUTRALIZE" A brief glow came from its mouth before a beam of energy shot from it's mouth.

Nail decision to stick next to Relic had payed off. The knight was the most battle hardened person in the immediate area. Having sensed some type of attack was imminent he slammed his shield down in front of the merc. The yellow energy splashed of the shield harmlessly. It seemed the beam was a low intensity one.

Priscilla hopped off Relic. Putting the Knight directly between her and Ajax. Something the mysterious man would prove to not make her safe. He threw his cloak aside, gripping onto the hilt of a sword. In a split he vanished with a dim red light. Appearing A half dozen feet above the white wolf. Not falling immediately he had enough time to draw his sword mid air and fall down with a crown splitter.

Priscilla managed to just get out of the way of the attack. Drawing her own sword in a feat of acrobatics and dexterity.
"Yes, shoot him..." the wolf had a very annoyed tone in her voice.

RE: Rum Valley bar (Thieves meet up)
Nail froze when the robot responded by immediately rotating to fire at him. As it did so, he reprimanded himself for being a fool. Surely it would not have been as simple as just shooting the guy. That would have been too easy, and surely the gods watching over them now couldn't have that. It wouldn't be interesting enough.

But lucky for him, this time Relic stepped in to help instead of just trying to threaten him like he always did. Right after Relic blocked the shot, he briefly pat himself on the shoulder for making the right choice in seeking cover behind the knight. Nail covered his eyes as the blast harmlessly bounced off the shield but made a tremendous blinding glow.

During this time, Ajax found his way past Relic and fell out of the sky right next to both Priscilla and Nail. The hybrid stumbled to the side as the sword struck the concrete. It was a very good thing Ajax was aiming for Priscilla instead of Nail, or he would have had a nice gash in his head right now. Definitely would have made the time when half of his tail got chopped off feel like a paper cut.

As Priscilla replied in a somewhat annoyed voice, Nail was only too happy to comply. The hybrid stepped back away from Ajax as he let fly three bullets. No sense getting in close when he had a gun, after all.

RE: Rum Valley bar (Thieves meet up)
[We might want to break this up into two topics. I'm bringing three-four other characters into this plotline right now.]

[From Roval Arms]

Inside and around the bar, many Guild Loyalists waited with an assortment of weapons. Those with guns stayed near the windows and occasionally peeked through the blinds to see Ajax fighting with his robot down the street. Meanwhile, those with melee weapons took cover behind various things like stoops, trash cans, and parked cars, as they waited for the battle to get closer. Ajax had ordered them to hold off while he confronted the traitors with his robot, and by golly they were all scared enough of him to follow his orders.

However, their thoughts about the fight would be interrupted as they heard a loud engine note. It was so high pitched it almost sounded like it was singing. Immediately many of the Guild Loyalists knew it was Giichi. Some rolled their eyes correspondingly. Only Ferraris made that kind of engine noise, and Giichi was the only guy at the Soleanna branch who happened to own one.

The car pulled up in the alleyway around back of the bar. Before long Giichi would be hopping out and running up front. As they got in front of the bar, he'd quickly pull one of the loyalists (a mongoose) aside.

"Tell me...what have Beauty and the Best over there done?"

"Not much yet... The fight's really only just begun. Ajax wanted to fight them alone for now."

"Alone?"

"Yeah, but now he's got this giant robot I've never seen before. Crazy, huh? Guess there's a lot we don't know about him. Anyway, he says to hold off for now."

"Really? Well...okay then." Like the others, Giichi certainly didn't want to get on Ajax's bad side.

RE: Rum Valley bar (Thieves meet up)
As they made their entry, a bed feeling creeped into the Geomancer's gut. He felt as if there'd be trouble if he stepped foot in their alone without a Guild member such as Giichi. With the upcoming battle, he preffered to stay away from confrontation. He watched the sand cat approach the mongoose and simply unbuckled himself and sprawled out as much as the cramed car would allow him.

RE: Rum Valley bar (Thieves meet up)
[from Roval arms.]
A few moments later an unusually collected looking Am came strolling down the sidewalk having been dropped off just moments before.

"I still don't like this Am. There are better ways to get a thrill. You don't have a lot of time Am. These guys figure out what you are.."

"Would you relax Sarah. You worry entirely too much. It's not good on the mind to always jump to worse case scenarios ya know? It's really not about the thrill if you must know. We're seeing a side of these Mobians we never imagined when we got here. They're going to name universities after us back home Sarah. Think about that. We're pioneers on a mysterious frontier you can't expect not to get your claws a little dirty."

Am approached the bar cautiously slowing his pace considerably as he approached. He saw many standing about outside the building rather menacing really.

"hospitable wouldn't ya say" Sarah chimed in.

"quiet you.." Am whispered.

"Hey there, how's it going? I'm with Gichii I'm supposed to help him fight somebody or something like that." Am said with a wave to anyone who'd answer. This was not looking good actually. They looked like they might just shoot him rather than talk to him. Am eased his body language up to make himself appear less threatening. "Could ya let him know I'm here for me?" Am finished.
