Relic looked at the ground he stood upon. He could feel the roof sway and give under his weight. It didn't matter, He'd fight on any surface. Allowing the ghostly necroshine to fall limp at his side, in chain form, he readied his gauntlet.

"We've usurped this place, begone or be no more."

( Was it my turn to post? My apologies for that :/ Also, sorry for my post. I'm just a tiny bit confused on what's going on at the moment.)

The human didn't attack, which wasn't surprising. He didn't seem like he could go on much more after Terrador's last attack. The echidna himself was still regaining his strength after that skirmish and it'd definately take some time. Continuing with his travels, he soon came across the wall of rock he formed shortly before having that illusion of his parents. The fight had caused some distance to be formed. Speaking of which, he heard some noises on a nearby rooftop and he needed to get up there quick. He sprinted for the building, entered through a busted door and made his way up the stairs. It wouldn't be long before the group would see the brown echidna make his entrance.

[Nail Strafer]

[Absence rule. Skipping Echo. By the way, Relic, I hope you're OK with this. I just think this would be a good way to end this battle. It's up to you what you want to have happen to Relic here.]

Nail finally located what he was after, as he looked through a big hole in the roof down into somebody's utility room below. The smell of gas was strongest here, not to mention he heard a loud hissing sound coming from a pipe running upwards along a wall. As he raised his rifle and got ready to run, one thought went through his head.

If this doesn't kill that beast, I'm running.

Standing back as far as he could from the hissing pipe but still see it, he fired one bullet and then promptly ran the other way across the adjoining rooftop. The round hit the pipe, making a small spark. However, it was enough for the intended effect.

A huge blast promptly consumed the innards of the building. Fire gushed forwards through the holes in the roof. Windows on the front side of the building blasted glass and shrapnel all over the street, before flames followed. The whole interior of the building glowed brightly as the fire rapidly consumed everything it could find. Shortly thereafter, it simply fell in on itself between the flames and the damage Relic had already inflicted on it.

As he ran away, the blast flung Nail forwards like a ragdoll. He rolled to the ground in a heap, his new clothes and fur burned and signed from the explosion. Regardless of how much it hurt though, Nail knew he needed to see the end result. Weakly, he heaved himself to his feet and walked over to the edge of his roof. Where there had once been a building, there now lay just a pile of rubble. Flames licked wood burned into charcoal, while scorched stones and bricks jutted out here and there.

Nail, however, wanted to know if Relic was down there. He hadn't had a chance to check if Relic was still on the roof when the building went.

"SOLIS...can you sense any life down there?"

[Giichi Twinkieland]

Terrador would reach the roofs shortly before the gas explosion. The echidna would open one last door at the top of a flight of stairs, and emerge on the rooftop Giichi was on. The cat turned around briefly to see his new friend.

"Terrador!"

Before Giichi could do anything else though, the blast from Relic's building sent him flying away similar to Nail. And due to his light weight, the sand cat got flung even further roughly landing tangled up in his cloak. He'd briefly gone deaf as well, not to mention.

Shaking his head and tearing the cloak off, Giichi looked up as he tried to assess what had just happened. He couldn't believe it. Before, this row of buildings was uninterrupted. You could simply run across the rooftops nonstop. But now, the building Relic was on had simply collapsed in on itself. A gaping chasm separated Terrador and Giichi's building from Nail's building. He appeared to be looking down into the ruins for something. Giichi figured he wanted to see if Relic was in there.

Come to think of it, the cat wanted to see if Relic was dead too. However, he didn't get his hopes up, considering what he'd seen Relic survive before. Hesitantly, Giichi looked over the side of his roof into the smoking rubble.

[SOLIS]

"Sensing living beings is beyond my capabilities, unfortunately." It spoke the truth, but wasn't sure if it should alert him that it could sense a very weak source of electromagnetic fluctuation. While it could be Relic, there was no definite way to tell.

[Echo]

Terrador burst through the door and reached the rooftop. First he heard his name being shouted and looked to see his feline ally. Before he can even respond, the forthcoming explosion nearly knocked him away. Being the vigilant and quick reacting Geomancer he was, the echidna promptly merged his feet with the concreted ground. He pushed forward with all his might, shielding his eyes from the intense light. He proved victorious against the pressure and nearly fell forward from his momentum after the explosion subsided. He freed his feet from the stone and accompanied himself next to Giichi.

"What just happened?" he asked the cat, his ears still ringing.

[I'm operating on the posting order Nail/Giichi - SOLIS - Relic - Terrador - Echo. That's why I haven't posted. But Echo hasn't posted anything so I'll keep moving ahead. We really need new plotlines here. New topic next round guys, after our characters regroup?]

Nail stood on the edge of the roof for a solid minute, looking down into the rubble. He imagined that this moment was going to determine how easy his life would be for an indefinite period of time.

Will I be on the run from Tall, Dark, and Ugly, or will I leave Priscilla scot free?

However, after the building fell in on itself, Nail hadn't seen a single brick or piece of debris stir from movement underneath. Relic ought to be dead...shouldn't he? The hybrid pondered poking through the rubble for a second with his bayonet, but then immediately vetoed the idea. Nail immediately had an image in his mind of him poking in the wrong spot, and then Relic's hand would smash through the bricks and crush him to death in its grasp.

Not to mention, he heard something that was long overdue. Police sirens wailed in the distance, echoing off of the buildings. That sure made the fur stand up on the back of his tail. Funny...he thought he wouldn't be afraid of anything else after facing down Relic.

Anyway, he held up his rifle in his hand and cupped it around his mouth with the other one, so he could call out to Giichi.

"Hey! Cat!" Nail paused for a moment. He needed to think about how he was going to word this. "That guy was my boss! But I hated the guy, so I consider myself freelance now! Mind if we have a little talk?"
