[Sonic]

Once again, Sonic only blinked and stared as he watched the cat curious. He didn’t quite know what to think yet. Something was up, but she didn’t seem all that evil. Maybe a bit immorally wrong, but not nearly as the same level as Eggman. As he watched the cat dry her clothes, he shrugged his shoulder up and put his palms up.

“Well, okay. If you want it that way…” He looked back at Alpha and placed his clentched hands on his fist. “Well, it looks like there’s only way out of this place. I’m sure we’ll catch up with this guy soon enough.”

He looked back up towards the cat, with a smile on his face. “-Not like I don’t already have my suspicions. Unless there’s some –other- guy that makes robots around here- which I doubt. I’m fairly certain this has that walking mustang’s name all over it.”

He closed his eyes for a brief second as he folded his arms again. His face looked as though he was thinking deeply; like he was putting clues together in his head. He also tapped his left foot, which was slower than usual due to the water in the pool. “The real question is ‘why’? And even THAT’S somewhat obvious. After all, why would Cousin It’s third-cousin-twice-removed come to Angle Island in the first place if it –wasn’t- Chaos Emerald related?”

[FYI if there are any clear views to the sky from you location, you folks will start to notice a large plume of smoke rising from the direction of the Mushroom Hill Zone]

[Alpha Omega]

Omega stared down at the ground, thinking quietly for a moment. "Well, the island isn't floating... So maybe he thinks the Master Emerald would be easy to get a hold of right now? I mean, from an outside view, anyone who knows about it could tell it was moved or taken. But I guess that's close enough to Chaos Emeralds to count..."

[Dr. Robotnik]

[Hydrocity's underground, so I don't think anyone would see the smoke. However, maybe they'd feel the tremors from the attack up there instead?]

The cat merely shrugged as Sonic and Alpha continued to spout off theories. Although they had accurately predicted what was going on, she kept her face neutral and didn't do anything to confirm or deny their suspicions. It really meant nothing to her at this point. She'd blown the job, so she wasn't going to get paid, so she decided to just think next about where she was going to go from here.

Sonic didn't seem like the kind of person to drag around captives. He liked going around fast too much for that, and had no time for dead weight. Eventually he'd just get impatient and probably leave her captive somewhere. But she was a member of the Guild, so she didn't think it'd be too hard to escape whatever cage he could come up with. And if Sonic did end up turning her in to the authorities, well, the Guild had connections. She would not be there for long.

So in the long run this should just be a minor inconvenience for me. If it goes that far I lose a couple months of work, and then I'll be back to this in no time.

[Sonic]

“Whatever,” Sonic began as though he was shrugging his thoughts off; closing his eyes and waving his hands to the side as though they were paddles from a pinball machine. “We’ll all find out soon enough, the fun way!”

Without even asking or any warning, the blue hedgehog ran and hopped onto the capsule; grabbing the cat by the wrist unexpectingly. As soon as she was grabbed he hopped off, now running over to where Alpha was.


“-Not like there’s any point sticking around here anyways!” Sonic exclaimed in a joyful manner. It was obvious he wanted out of the place. Not just because he wanted to get away from all the water, but the idea that Eggman was close by meant it was time for him to have some fun. As he would pass Alpha by, he would grab hold of him too. Though he may have not been going fast, it would change as soon as he would get into the hallway.

As Omega was yanked along by Sonic, he glanced over at the feline that they had persued here all the way from the Hidden Palace zone, thinking of just how active the island had become in such a short space of time. He still didn't know about the fleet or Robotnik's troops now occupying the island, but with the group's current course, it wouldn't be too much longer.

"Can you please give a little warning next time? I don't know about you, but I haven't seen any more rings since I got here, and I only have a few left."

[Dr. Robotnik]

The cat howled as she got dragged through the water, and then pulled along by Sonic's speed as they hit the dry land. She screamed all the way down the corridor as they sped along towards their destination.

"SONIC! WHEN THIS IS OVER, I'M GONNA TELL THE JUDGE YOU VIOLATED THE SOUTH ISLAND CONVENTION! NO TORTURE OF CAPTIVES IN A TIME OF WAR!"

She wanted to threaten a lot of other litigation, but the speed and the water only allowed her to get that off.

Sonic had looked at the cat puzzling at her ranting as he ran along. “What? I can’t just leave a girl around, un-attended; especially with Egg-head around. So what’s this about being a captive?”

After finally getting passed the shallow part of the pool, the hedgehog ran straight into his last water tunnel, which read above it “Great Crater Lake”.
