[Alpha Omega]

[Alright, I'll keep it in mind, thanks!]

Omega kept his eyes on Tatsu, very wary and worried. "Dude, I don't know about this... It sounds like he designed this just for you... Probably did too, if he's with Robotnik. I wouldn't do it."

[Sonic]

His eyes creeped to the left where Alpha was and then creeped back towards Tatsuhiro; all the while not moving his head. His expression was equally dull looking as the mutant before him. He stayed silent, without making a sound as he stared straight into Tatsuhiro’s eyes. After what seemed to be a painstaking pause, the hedgehog’s expression changed. His eyes closed and his grin was very wide.


“Nope!” he responded cheerfully, “Like I’m going to waste my time on fighting you when I could be having fun with the Eggster!”


He began to walk away, snickering as he did.


“Like I’m going to fall for this trap! What’s Eggman thinking anyway?”

The last of his sentence sounded far off, as though he was thinking aloud rather than asking a real question. Either way, even Sonic could tell it was a trap. Did the Doctor think he was really –this- stupid? Either way, there was no point in fighting a useless battle that he was going to win to waste time on getting him to Robotnik.

[Tatsuhiro]

Tatsuhiro’s eyes narrowed at the response. This was not what he was hopeing for, but it wasn’t out of left field either. The first time he had done this his Sonic was weary, but then again Tatsu was fighting on different ground than this. But, he knew there would be a way to get him to fight. It just depended on how dirty it was going to get.


“Alright…” He released with a sigh, looking very relieved with his answer. “ If you’re so concerned with losening, I guess I’ll just let you go to Robotnik. After all, you can beat him.”


He would get his attention with that line. There was no way that Sonic was going to turn him down so easily. He knew the hedgehog well enough that his own ego was equal to that of his boss. And he knew personally how Robotnik didn’t liked to be called ‘weak’; the hard way.


He turned his body, so that he faced to the right, folding his arms across his chest (without tearing up his shirt). “-He went to Mushroom Forest Zone if you’re so interested. You and your cowardly friend can find him there.”

[Alpha Omega]

Omega looked off to his left, at nothing in particular. He began contemplating a things in his past, and he let his arms relax, putting them down at his sides. He spoke very calmly, and pretty quietly.

"You're calling me a coward. Okay. Fine. I am then. It doesn't bother me. There was a time when it would have, when I would have flipped out if I could have, but I couldn't. And now it doesn't. So if you're trying to provoke me, you'll have to try a lot harder than that."

He simply started walking toward the facility Robotnik had set up, knowing that even if Robotnik had left, whatever was going on there likely needed to be stopped as well.

Sonic mostly ignored Alpha’s plight as he heard the mutant’s response. He had stopped dead in his tracks; literally frozen in place as a leg that was lifted up stayed there. His expression had changed, to one that was obvious not amused. He began to turn his head, slowly as he looked at Tatsuhiro with a fire in his eyes.



“…I can beat you any day, freak-show.”


His was more than just a bit anger, his pride had been stabbed in the heart. Like he was going to let him get away with calling him ‘weak’ in any manner. Sonic unfroze, quickly hoping into the makeshift ring and closed his eyes as he stretched a little. He showed all to easily that he had taken the words very seriously.


“O-kay, Mutant-man!” He shouted, now rotating his shoulders. “You’re on!”

[Tatsuhiro]

Tatsuhiro smiled mentally as he saw the hedgehog take the bait. Ah yes, it was just as bad as Robotnik. He took a few steps forward and held his hand out towards his enemy.

“Well, if you’re sure. First, we have to shake hands. No tricks, just a sign of agreement.”

He may have worked for the ‘Good’ Doctor, but he didn’t resort to his tricks. Unless he needed too; like his little lies he had to do to bait the hedgehog. But, he was still fair. It was one thing he remembered the hedgehog had respected him for. And in that case he took his praise. Though it may be the only time he would.


Now that he got Sonic bated, he needed to get him hooked before he could do anything with Omega. Seeing him walk over towards the base structure made him weary. Hopefully, that girl would do something about it once the fight started.

[Alpha Omega]

Omega stopped and turned back, looking at the two in the ring. He blinked a few times, hoping what he saw was a trick of the light.

"Sonic, you... You can't be serious! We really don't have time for this! He said Robotnik left already, so we need to stop what's going on here and get moving, before he hides somewhere else!"

He ran up to the edge of the ring, looking in at the blue hedgehog, dumbfounded at how egotistic he had just shown himself to be. He could really only hope Sonic would think this out more before locking himself in to such a stupid challenge.

Then he had another thought. If ego got him in, then maybe it would get him out too.

"If you waste your time here, Robotnik will manage to get away from you. He'll outrun you, Sonic. That fat old man will escape the fastest thing alive."

“It’ll be fine!” Sonic replied cheerfully, with a large smile on his face. “That Egghead is a slow guy anyways. I’ll finish this fight up quick and have time enough to meet up with him!”

This same logic that Tatsu had used didn’t work so well for Alpha. After all, he –was- the fastest thing alive; there was no way Robotnik was going to get away so easily. And in his mind, he was going to get the fight over, and fast. He just had to show the lizard-guy who was the obvious better. He walked up to the middle of the ring where Tatsu was, holding his hand out. When he got there and saw his hand, his expression went to bewilderment. Instead of shaking his head, he grabbed his wrist and looked at his hand closely. Much to the gargoyle’s annoyance, Sonic pointed his finger at his nails.


“You really need to cut those…”


“ It’s hard to cut through bone, hedgehog.”


Sonic then shrugged, grabbing Tatsu’s wrist and shaking it.


“ Alright, let’s do this! Oh, and I guess I agree with you bet-thing. Not that it’s gonna matter much to me!”


The hedgehog was blinded by his own ego at the moment. He saw himself winning; not losing. Despite not even knowing his enemy, he was sure that he wasn’t going to lose this.

[Tatsuhiro]

He shook along, though it wasn’t much of a handshake. It didn’t really matter that he did; it only mattered that he would keep his word. Well, at least if he did win. He was confident in his skills, since he did beat him; just not in the best of ways. He just had to remember to let the hedgehog come to him. He wouldn’t have to worry about catching up, he’d just let Sonic come to him and hope to get lucky with his hits. His arms were fast, but Sonic’s legs were faster.


“Good. Let us begin then.”


As soon as Sonic had let go, Tatsu had jumped back, trying to distance himself from the hedgehog. Sonic, did the same. He must of thought that he was going to attack first, but he wasn’t going to waste his energy on that. But he did get himself ready for whatever Sonic was going to throw at him. His arms were up, his elbows where tucked in as he appeared to be in guard-mode. He tried his best to sink himself into the ground, getting ready for any blows that might come. And he kept his eyes on the mobian’s chest, to see all of his movements clearly.


“I’ll allow you the first hit, Hedgehog.” he said in his montone voice.

Omega's face flashed between shock and frustration. He slapped his hand to his forehead, and dragged it down his face, groaning. He reached into his jacket and pulled out the laser gun he carried.

"Alright, fine then. You stay here and waste your time with... I don't even know what this guy is! But I'm not waiting around for this to finish, especially when the only thing it's missing is a sign say 'Trap!' So have fun with this stupid contest."

He turned and started running toward Robotnik's complex, praying that all the water from the last zone hadn't completely ruined his gun. Time would tell, but probably at the most crucial moment,as seemed to be the law of the universe.
