RE: Launch Base Zone
Rose was looking at him very strangely through her monitor. She had folded her arms in real life and tapped her own index finger.

‘What is he planning?’

Just then, she turned her attention to an alert on her monitor. She quickly switched views to see what was up. Apparently, one of the eye-bots she had sent on patrol around the island had finally caught something. There was a boat, heading straight for the island. And if they were coming towards it an not away, it meant only one thing to her. Her attention was now focused off Tatsu and onto the current news.

[“Doctor,”] Rose began in an urgent tone, [“Something’s coming towards the island! Looks like a small boat. It’s not close enough to see what or who’s on board- or how many.”]

RE: Launch Base Zone
"Draw on land? Do you mean you want to draw something in the dirt for me?" the doctor looked around, and quickly plucked a stick off the ground and handed it to Tatsu. "Maybe you could just use this? You know, if you hurry up and went to the Hydrocity Zone, you definitely could fight him there without worrying about speed. We all know how he feels about water, after all."

The doctor let out a chuckle, at least until Rose sounded an alert about a small approaching ship. He dismissed it just as quickly as Rose brought it up, waving a hand around.

"Just send a SWATpod or something to go blow it up if they come closer. And if they get past that, then perhaps Rampage's little diversion will keep them occupied until we finish our job and leave."

RE: Launch Base Zone
Tatsuhiro turned with what looked to be a somewhat disgusted face towards the Doctor.

“- I can’t swim.”

Which would also translate into, ‘Me either’. He didn’t get up or even turn around towards Robotnik to grab the small branch; instead, his swishing tail stopped in its movements and grabbed the stick from Robotnik’s hand. Once he had a hold of it, he got up and in a place where there was just dirt, started to trace a circle; quite slowly. He appeared again to be deep in though as he tried to visual remember how large the circle should be.

“Anyways, the water would slow down my own footwork—and I’m slow enough as it is. Even though it would be a disadvantage for him, it would also be for me. And in that kind of sense, we might as well be fighting on dry land.”

RE: Launch Base Zone
Rose just sort of pouted, as though she was getting dismissed herself. She typed in the command quickly so she could pay attention to what the lizard-man was doing. She watched diligently, trying to process what he was meaning to say. Once Tatsu had made at least one forth of the circle, a light clicked in her brain.

“Ooooooohhhhhh, THAT’S what your talking about!” She began, sound somewhat surprised, “ You’re talking about confining him to a smaller space, aren’t you?!”

She sounded somewhat enjoyed, as though she was actually complementing him on his idea. Which she half-ly was. It was surprising simple, and yet she knew it would be a great hindrance to the hedgehog. After all, having to fight in a small space would mean he would have to slow down; lest he rockets himself outside the circle. And she wasn’t even sure himself how well-controled he was with his speed.

But as soon as she acknowledged him, she seemed to come onto a down point.

“….But, what makes you think he’ll come here anyways?”

[OOC: My character’s will notice the fire after Robotnik does. “D ]

RE: Launch Base Zone
The doctor found it odd that Tatsu turned his back on him. He was rather unprepared for the tail suddenly swishing around and snatching the stick right out of his hand. Reflexively he backed up a little bit, his eyes widening in surprise from the move. Once again he really wondered what his alternative selves were like with so many different allies.

As he did so, he picked up on what Rose suggested. It did sound good to him. While Robotnik frequently failed in fighting Sonic, he did observe from the combat data that the more restricted the hog's movements were, the more success he had.

"We will need to come up with a way to confine him somehow. Perhaps we could scout out the likeliest routes he could take to get here and set up traps along them."

Robo turned to the SWATbot as Rose asked why he'd come here.

"Sonic's got a sixth sense for trouble. We already know that from past incidents with him. With that hedgehog already on the island, that just proves my point even more. Believe me, he will eventually end up here. That's why we need to get done as fast as we can and get those shards off the island before he can interfere."

RE: Launch Base Zone
“Correct as always, Doctor.” Tatsuhiro began, now having finishing his drawn circle. “But, you still fail to see what I’m doing.”

He walked into the middle of the circle, which looked to be about three yards from where he stood to the outside line. It wasn’t completely small, but he knew the hedgehog would be hindered. How much, though, he wasn’t sure. He was already suspecting that this was not going to be the same from what he known. Looking at Dr. Robtonik gave a clue to this as he didn’t look nearly as old as the last time he saw him. Not to mention he wasn’t nearly as…big. Letting off a sigh ( that sounded more like a low growl), he crouched again, placing both his arms on his knees as he stared off from the doctor and onto the horizon.

“I suspect this digging venture will take a while. Thirty minutes? Perhaps an hour? I don’t think I can bargain that much let alone getting him off the island; you should already know how impatient he is…” though he talked aloud, it was as though he was musing to himself. He closed his eyes as he continued to speak his thoughts aloud. “—The last time I fought him with this strategy; it took about twenty minutes, maybe? Wasn’t paying much attention to time then…”

RE: Launch Base Zone
“ I always thought it was dumb luck.” Rose muttered, not wanting Robotnik to make Sonic sound like he was smart. He never knew where Robotnik was, he just stumbled onto him! There was a difference. The hedgehog could be frolicking out in a meadow picking flowers for all she cared and the damn thing would just so happen to find him. It was pure and simple dumb luck. Dumb luck that is as annoying as hell!

“ Please, Doctor, don’t make him sound like he’s competent. You make it sound like he has ‘Hedgehog-senses’ or something. He doesn’t –deserve- that kind of credit.” She sounded like she was very annoyed and filled with loathing.

RE: Launch Base Zone
"It'll take longer than that. Even with my brilliance and robotic army, I won't be able to do a thorough search of the island in that short a time period."

He looked at Tatsuhiro and the size of the circle, as he scratched his chin.

"So...you plan to get him in a space that big? How do you plan to get him trapped in a space like that? And how will you set up a trap that fast?"

Rose then interjected her own commentary on what he had to say about Sonic's sixth sense.

"I hate to say it Rose, but flowers grow, the sun shines, I conquer, and Sonic always shows up at the worst possible time. There's no harm in hoping for the best but preparing for the worst."

RE: Launch Base Zone
[From Hydrocity Zone]

He held onto Alpha and the cat tightly as they finally exited out of the tunnel, escaping the murk-y depths of the lake quickly. Once on dry land, he stopped, setting the cat and Alpha down lightly as he walked up a little further away from them. He shook some of the water off himself; and drained his ears that managed to get water logged.

“Finally…Dry land…” He sighed out in relief, as he began to look at his surroundings.

He recognized the place immediately. The only thing missing was the death egg in the distance, but he new from the colorful structure that is was the Launce Base. Most of the architecture seemed like a toll was taken over the years, but that’s not what surprised him the most. Looking from across the lake, he could see where Dr. Robotnik had set-up camp. This made the hedgehog smirk.

“BIN-GO!!” he exclaimed joyfully; his left hand pointing in the direction of Eggman’s camp. His expression was nothing less than a child grinning as wide as he could, with his eyes closed like a kid who just hit the biggest candy store in the world. He immediately began to stretch as though he was getting pumped for what lied ahead.

“O-Kay! I’ll let you guys rest for a bit and dry off some while I get ready!” He proclaimed giddily, “- Then, it’s off to see what kind of party Eggman’s up to now!”

Somewhere fairly close, if one was to look, could see an Eyebot trying to stay out of the distance, looking directly at the three….

RE: Launch Base Zone
Before she could reply to Robotnik’s statement, she got an alert on her computer, again. But not just a normal alert, but a high-security risk alert. Dropping her talk with the Doctor (which annoyed her greatly) She switched over to the Eyebot’s view and immediately gasped in shock (which the Doctor would be able to hear).

It was Sonic. Not only that, there was some other brown hedgehog and a pink cat. But like they really mattered, they would be just a minor annoyance. Sonic was the only thing that –really- mattered in this situation. He was right there, grinning wide like some stupid little kid and was doing his normal ‘leg stretch’ routine. Rose’s teeth gritted and her fist clasped, as a look of anger and fear dawned on her face. She may have not been afraid of the hedgehog, but she –was- afraid of what that hedgehog might do to the Doctor. She quickly switched her views. This time, there was no shrugging off her warnings.

[“-Yeah, like right now!”] She began angrily, with a pinch of worry in her voice, [“ Sonic’s already here!”]
