Launch Base Zone

RE: Launch Base Zone
This suddenly got interesting. It was extremely rare for Rampage to see Robotnik so angry at anyone but Sonic that he'd personally join a fight. Now he was curious to know if this deer was actually a worthy opponent, or just an annoying fly in the ointment.

"Well, if you want him yourself so bad, maybe I ought to take a look around and see if anyone else is screwing around out there?" He suggested. "If he is acting as a decoy..." I paused to point at the monitor as the deer hopped into a bulldozer and began to drive around like a mad-man/deer. "Which I'd say is a safe bet, he'll have friends out there too."

RE: Launch Base Zone
Rampage thought about going ahead with Rampage's idea, but then Gerald interrupted. The deer had gone past the camera so quickly he hadn't gotten a clear look at the Artificial Chaos on him. So Gerald had made that thing after all? The doctor briefly pondered the possibility of him turning over plans for it so that he could manufacture more of them...but for now they had to dispose of this annoying problem.

"That bulldozer should have a radio unit inside it. I'll go patch into it for you."

After catching the serial number of the unit off of the camera, Robotnik rapidly punched it into the terminal and before long the radio would be active. Chadin would hear some crackling static on the other end, before Robotnik spoke up.

"Mr. Deer, we meet again,"
Robotnik said, smirking to one side. "I think you've had enough fun for one day. Gerald, do what you will please."

The doctor stepped away from the terminal and waved for Gerald to do his thing.

The Professor gave a pause as he shifted in his chair. Getting up he walked over to the terminal slowly, taking his time. As he finally got over, he let out an aggravated sigh.

“Unit your orders have changed. Drown the deer.”

He looked over towards Robotnik before walking back to his chair at the same pace as before.

RE: Launch Base Zone
Rampage watched in disgust as the monitor observing Chadin's bulldozer careened out of control. Sure he didn't think this deer was worthy of his attention, but it was still a pity watching someone who clearly was good enough to severely get under Robotnik's skin get killed in an extremely lazy and boring way. Even if it wasn't a great fight, Rampage would still rather ring that deer's neck himself instead of watch something else do it by remote control. "Pfft, well that certainly takes all the fun out of killing him, doesn't it."

"Huh... speaking of which, isn't that bulldozer still going?" Rampage added as he noticed that the machine was still careening out of control.

RE: Launch Base Zone
[Hope I'm not screwing things up terribly with this, or mis-using the bot's!]

As if to confirm Rampage's earlier theory of a distraction, two SWATbots marched into the room, holding a brown hedgehog up by the arms between them. He was struggling to be free as best he could, but since the robots were holding him up off the ground, there wasn't too much he could do. Though he did managed to occasionally kick one of the robots, they were too study for him to damage.

One of the SWATbots reported to its master that the subject was captured outside the facility, after being subdued by several units following a small conflict.

The hedgehog himself looked around the room and groaned, so obviously overjoyed to see who he was brought to, though he wasn't quite sure, just that it couldn't be good. He made several more failed attempts to pull free from the bots, before stopping and glaring at the Doctor and his grandfather. "Don't suppose either of you are one of those friendly humans I've heard so much about?" He made no attempt at all to hide his sarcasm, waiting to see what fortune had in store for him now.

RE: Launch Base Zone
Robo actually found it a little chilling that this mentor could transform his personality so suddenly that he'd simply condemn a former ally to death like that. The doctor didn't like it that he appeared to be collecting a set of somewhat unstable allies, when it came to their psyches. First Rampage with his need for wanton destruction, and now this. Robo chewed his lip a bit at the mention of the shuttles being destroyed, but he did have plenty of aircraft around. He'd just have to come up with alternative plans.

It was just then that Alpha was brought into the room. Robotnik thought he looked vaguely familiar...but couldn't quite place it. Felt like he'd met him some months ago, but it surely couldn't be that long. And just then it struck him. He'd been amongst the group that his Guild spies had spotted in the Hydrocity Zone, before they'd found their way here.

Maybe he might have some intelligence on the people attacking him now. So he completely ignored Alpha's sarcastic question and said,

"Tell me, freedom fighter, what do you know about the attacks going on in my little camp right now? I need to know how many of you there are. Not to mention...what happened to Sonic and Knuckles? I haven't seen them for a while, and I'm fairly certain you were with them before."

RE: Launch Base Zone
As soon as he had sat back down, the SWATbots came in with a brown hedgehog that he’d never seen before. Oh how lovely, and interrogation-

A sharp pain went through his skull, causing him to bend over and put his hands on his heads. The Professor cursed under his breath. It was like a little voice in the back of his head wasn’t very happy with his actions. He couldn’t necessary hear what it was saying, but he knew who it was. Curse it all, he wasn’t out for ten minutes! He supposed he was having something of a tantrum with trying to kill his ‘friend’. Not like he would even realize what had happened as he got out though.

The pain just continued to grow, and he continued to clench his teeth harder to take him off the pain. He’d have to find some way to stop these headaches.

RE: Launch Base Zone
Since Rampage was standing in the doorway the Swat-bots entered through, Rampage was forced to part way for them to enter. He raised an eyebrow with intrigue at this new comer. Something wasn't right here. As distractions go, this guy would certainly be that. But if he was the distraction, what the heck was going on outside?

Quote:"Don't suppose either of you are one of those friendly humans I've heard so much about?"

"Nice?" Rampage scoffed with a short chuckle as he walked around one of the Swat-bots to face Alpha. He glared at the hedgehog, letting the prisoner get a nice good, intimidating look at his frightening appearance. "You think a nice guy hangs around with an ugly son of a- like me?" Suddenly he threw a hard punch with his robotic arm into Alpha's exposed stomach. "And just for the record, I ain't NICE! So I'd start talking piggy, before I start getting NASTY!"

RE: Launch Base Zone
Omega kept his eyes locked on Robotnik, and his mouth shut, while he was talking. Until Rampage walked around front of him, that is. He looked Rampage up and down, and looked slightly shocked. He couldn't believe that such a creature could exist, a terrible fusion of machines and natural body parts. Such thoughts were quickly thrown out of his head when Rampage punched him.

He was quickly void of breath, and drew his legs up to his chest, tilting his head down. He struggled for breath for a minute, before starting to cough up a little bit of blood. He waited for the pain to subside a little, before letting his legs drop a bit, and picking his head back up to look at the people in the room.

He especially glared at Rampage while he started speaking, "Flattery will get you everywhere, ugly, just you keep that in mind." He quickly swung his left foot back, talking to distract Rampage. "And I ain't telling you anything, you mutant freak!" He then put as much force into his leg as he could, driving his foot into the organic side of Rampage's head.

RE: Launch Base Zone
"Little hedgehog..." Robotnik smiled as he spoke in a chiding voice. "We can do this the easy way or the hard way. Either you tell me your friends' plan of attack now, or I take you to the roboticizer. Then you'll tell me whether you want to or not, because I'll have control over your body. It's up to you."

Out of the corner of his eye, the doctor noticed that Gerald appeared to be leaning forward and clutching at his head, as if he were getting a headache. With his mentor in pain, Robotnik quickly seemed to forget about everything else as he rushed to Gerald's aide.

"Continue interrogating him!"
the doctor blurted out to Rampage as he hurried across the room. Once there, he started asking rapid fire questions on how he could assist his idol. "Gerald! What's wrong? Are you all right?"
