Hidden Palace

[Sonic]

"What I would of brought up is how the Guardian of it never seems to prevent it." Sonic brought up in a mockingly manner. He obvious was just joshing, but who knows how they would react.

"The important thing is though that we get them all back." Sonic began, somewhat musing to himself. "I don't know about you, but this whole 'chaos emeralds shattering' thing doesn't go well with me."

[Alpha Omega]

Omega pulled the shards from his pocket and offered them to Sonic. "Well, you guys can take these if you want. Likely much safer in your hands than mine. I'm nowhere near as good as any of you in a fight."

[Knuckles]

Knuckles glared at Sonic, but let the previous comment pass.

"What's important now it we go to the altar and see if we can find anything there, from there we can make plans on what to do next." Knuckles said this with growing impatience in his voice.

[Tails]

Tails nods. "I couldn't agree more Knuckles."

He starts the trek to the altar.

[Sonic]

"Well, if you don't want to keep them..." He replied shrugging his shoulders.

He quickly ran over to Omega, even though there was hardly a distance from him, and grabbed the shards. Once he had them, he began to examine the shards. Despite his throwing around accusations for the sake of joking, he was a bit surprised that the small emeralds had shattered. After all, they'd been through a lot, and it wasn't until now that they broke. He'd figure it had something to do with his handsome self in another dimension going super with someone else that Dr. Robotnik mentioned. Question was, why?

Hearing that both Knuckles and Tails wanted to move, he smirked.

"Finally!" He exclaimed, " I was waiting for you guys to say that!"

[Knuckles]

"Good, let's go!" Knuckles said as he turned and continued running towards the shrine. "I am eager to see what awaits us there!"

[Alpha Omega]

Omega stuffed his hands into his jacket pockets, and marched along behind the others.

[Tails]

Tails converts his run into the hover craft run with his tails as a propeller. He reaches the shrine and slows down.

Tails looks on in amazement. "Everything thing is so big in this shrine." He giggles. "This shrine is too much."

[Sonic]

Sonic blurred past everyone, and made his way straight to the top. Once there, he saw what he figure; the large green emerald was gone. He turned around and looked towards the group when they would finally catch up.


“Yo, it’s gone!” He shouted out, mainly towards Knuckles. Turning around to look bewildered as he scratched behind his ear, he began talking aloud. “Ya know, I still don’t understand how such a huge rock could shatter and go missing like this….”

[Knuckles]

Knuckles stopped just close enough to confirm with his own eyes what Sonic had just said. He clenched his fists while thinking hard on what to do next, and took several long moments to do so considering deep thinking was not his strongpoint. At last he had resolved on what to do next.

"Shattered or not, there should be some evidence of what happened to it around here somewhere, It didn't just disappear. Spread out and search, there must be something out of place." Knuckles said while closing in on where the Master Emerald had once stood, his eyes darting all over the familiar shrine.
