Hidden Palace

[Knuckles]

On the way to the Master Emerald's altar, Knuckles passes by a familiar mural on the wall and couldn't help but to stop and reminisce.

"It is here Alpha Omega that I once fought a blue hedgehog believing him to be after the Master Emerald. Sonic is indeed a worthy rival, and after said fight, he defeated Eggman who had abused my trust, pitted me against Sonic, and stolen the Master Emerald. This mural prophesied that battle. I hope now you will understand why I must be cautious of you, but know that because you are a hedgehog, I will give you the benefit of the doubt, for now."

[Alpha Omega]

Omega stood and patiently listened through Knuckles story. He stood and admired the mural, wondering just how far in the past it was prophesied and created.

".... wow... Thanks... I think... It sounds to me like you've been secluded for a long time, which from what I was told is true. But thank you. It's nice knowing that not everyone is mis-trustful of me at first glance."

[Knuckles]

Knuckles took one last look at the mural and turned to continue on his path.

"I wonder where Sonic is now, he always seems to know more about what is happening than I do."

With that Knuckles began running again in the direction the Master Emerald was supposed to rest.

[Alpha Omega]

Omega continued behind the echidna, jogging along.

"No clue. Never actually met the guy. Can't say I know much about what's going on either."

Passing the ocean made him feel a little uneasy, but he was confident that as long as he didn’t pull the brakes out, he’d be fine. And since he could go the speed of sound, the ocean passed by quickly without a hassle. The rest was easy, all he had to do was find the Master Emerald shrine and he would find Knuckles. He doubted he would be any farther.

Traveling through the tropic forest of Angle Island brought back the memories of when he and Tails had first arrived here. How strange yet amazing the sight of a floating Island was.

And then Knuckles came.

Before the guy knew he was being used, he was a bit of a jerk. Though it was surprising that he managed to punch him while he was using all seven Chaos Emeralds…

He shook the thoughts and memories out of his head. That was enough reminiscing. It wouldn’t be long before Sonic zoomed right past Knuckles and Alpha Omega. Though for Sonic, it took a moment it to register in his head, before he came to a stretching halt. Once making a complete stop, he turned facing towards the two; letting go of Tail’s hand. He wasn’t too far away, so he decided to wait for Knuckles to catch up with him. And in his usual fashion, he wore a huge smirk as he crossed his arms over his chest and impatiently tapped his foot on his ground.

“Yo, Knuckles! Wasup?”

[Knuckles]

Knuckles hurried up the stairs when suddenly a familiar blue blur passed by him. Just up the stairs, Knuckles suspicions were confirmed, there stood Sonic appearing out of nowhere, as if to answer his previous question.

"Wasup? I really have no idea, I was hoping you could shed some light on what is going on here. I remember a flash of light, falling out of the sky, and then realizing the Island in no longer floating. When I went looking for the Master Emerald I ran into this hedgehog carrying shards of what appears to be the Chaos Emeralds along the way. We were on our way to the altar when you arrived."

[Alpha Omega]

Omega decided just to stand back a little bit, and let the two talk. He was a little in awe from actually seeing Sonic.

[Tails]

Tails chimes in. "Sonic figured you'd be heading to the Master Emerald Knuckles. We're glad you're safe."

[Sonic]

“Oh that.” Sonic seemed to reply unamused, “ Well, by what Baldy McNosehair had to say, some other dimensional self of me used the Chaos Emeralds to go super, and somehow it created some dimensional thingy-ma-gier; and caused all the emeralds to shatter! That’s all the details I know, man.”

His foot was tapping a little faster, pulms of dust rising up. Looking over at Omega, he spoke up.

“Who’s you’re new friend there?”

[Knuckles]

"He says his name is Alpha Omega, I found him in a tunnel leading out of the Lava Reef. He tells me he has a friend somewhere else on the island, but I haven't seen him."

"I sense what seem to be shards of the emeralds on him. He said his friend gave them to him because they gave him a headache, and that they intended to sell them."

Knuckles says the last part while showing his contempt of the idea in an obvious glare.
