Alta Aldridge
|::Full Name::|
Alta Takahiro Aldridge |::Alignment::| Neutral |::Faction::| Robotnik Empire |::Species::| Human |::Height::| 5’7 |::Weight::| 142 lbs. |::IQ::| 220 |::Age::| 28 |::Birth date::| November, 14 |::Birth Place::| Station Square |::Family::| Jane Aldridge: Mother,Unknown; presumably deceased. Afton Aldridge: Father, deceased. |::Weapon of Choice::| =:Sonic Screwdriver:= A nifty device, based on the popular show Doctor Who. Much like the device in the show, it is about the size of a pen, and works by sending out sonic waves in order to disable equipment and locks. Unlike the show, though, it can be used as a dog whistle of sorts on robots; sending a frequency that jams a robot’s programming rendering them helpless. Though unfortunately, it requires quiet a lot of juice and cannot be simply kept on at all times. If the original battery goes out, he as a small black-box battery he can hook it up too, though it means keeping the device close to him at all times. Though the back-up battery can last longer, it still isn’t long enough. Though he was the one who generally thought of the idea and worked on it, not all credit can go to him on the device as it was a sort of “collaboration” project with the great Dr. Ivo Robotnik. |::Appearance::| Mug: http://i308.photobucket.com/albums/kk351...ugcopy.png {Body Frame} Medium {Hair} Alta tends to keep his ginger brown hair long and in a loose pony tail. {Eye Color} Violet {Apparel} Alta is always seen in a buttoned-up, collared shirt of a variety of colors (and sometimes a design), black tie, with a pair of slacks (which are either black or brown) and black loafers. He also usually wears a white lab coat, or a white sweat jacket which is big on him. He is also always seen wearing a pair of black framed, rectangular glasses. {Items} You can always be assured that Alta has some kinds of medication on hand at all times. Though his main priority is nerve pills, he also keeps sedatives, pain killers, and occasionally some allergy medicines. Along with that, there are always at least two pairs of glasses he keeps on hand, and then an item which is something special. |::Personality::| The easiest way to describe Alta is a shy, mild mannered man with a lot of nerve problems. His usual demeanor comes off as being cheerful melancholy. He’s quite a sweet, kind person though he stays withdrawn most of the time around others. Not to say you can’t get him started, but you need to know him to do that. He enjoys working on machinery and robots as well as learning new things about the subjects he didn’t know before; since it gives him a feeling of having control, since the life around him is so chaotic. He rarely gets mad or argues, and does not like it when people are angry with him, as it usually makes him nervous and frightened. He also dislikes fights as it too makes him frightened and nervous. When on the subject of ideals, he has a very neutral outlook. He can understand, mostly, all the reason given to him for a person’s particular ideals. For example, he understands Dr. Robotnik’s reason for taking over the world; but he doesn’t like solution to the problem. Though if he was asked “Then what’s the solution?” he would simply reply by saying something along the lines of that “There is no solution, so I just live with it”. As long as he tries to help the people around him that he cares about, that’s all that matters in his life. Main Character Reactions ::Dr. Robotnik:: He was his teacher at one point, so he does hold respect for him. Though he doesn’t full agree with the Doctor’s agenda, he can’t really say what would be better. So as long as the Doctor doesn’t kill him, he’s fine. ::Decoe and Bocoe:: He only had heard stories of these two from the Doctor and Rose, so he doesn’t really know them. But it can be assumed that they share a common ground; as they seem to have similar relations. Also, they do end up crashing in his place. ::Bokkun:: N/A ::Rampage:: Doesn’t hate, but doesn’t like the fact that he shot Rose in the Knee. Plus, he could kill him at anytime, which is something that he’s not incredible kin on. ::Rose:: A strange relationship indeed. Rose had been the only women that Alta ever fully ‘noticed’. Her stare-through-your-soul eyes, bossy, mean, tomboy-ish demeanor was something he never really saw before. Though granted, despite that he felt like she was a better person than most he meet. Though due to a certain incident he likes for Rose grew, and as a result he is infatuated with her; despite not seeing her for seven years. He diffidently cares about her, though. |::Bio::| Before beginning, it should be noted what atmosphere he grew up in. Before the Aldridge’s where ‘Aldridge’s’, they were the Oita family; a family of petty samurai’s, who despite all efforts stayed ‘petty’. The Family, wishing for better life moved to the ‘New World’ to make a better living than they had before. In honor of this, they changed their family name of ‘Oita’ to the English name ‘Aldridge’. Ever since that time, the family of warriors turned into a family of wealthy, medical doctors; all who pride themselves in an ongoing tradition. Born to Afton and Jane Aldridge, Alta was born as the next ‘Head’ of the esteemed line of medical doctors. A quite unfortunate position for the boy, though his childhood did start quite happily. If you were ever to see pictures of the young lad before his school days, you’d be surprised at his genuinely happy looking face; compared to his expression of melancholy later. But schooling soon came into the picture, and changed his life completely. His family being rich, he was sent to a very prestigious private school in Station Square. And to put on top of that, his father was incredibly strict on his education. While normal kids would go home to do their homework and play; Alta would have the mis-fortune of coming home, doing homework, and study until his curfew. If he had ever made anything lower than a ninety-two on anything , he would be strictly punished. Which included the test his father would give out personally . And if you would think that his mother wouldn’t stand for such treatment, then you would be thinking very wrongly. Though there were some times when things would be different. Anytime there would be parties or meetings, Alta was sure to be there. Even though at his young age they were heaven sent, his later years would find it to be just as bad. After all, it was for the best of their child that he becomes as smart as he can. Though unknown to them, it would only lead to disaster. As the years passed, Alta’s story didn’t really change. The only thing that did was his advancement in grade levels, and the material his father gave him became harder and harder. Once he entered high school, his father chose his classes and doubled the work; and his father required him to take the U.N.C.T* five times at the end of his freshmen year. And to his and his father surprise, he scored perfect on every single one. This caused his father to demand that his son graduate early; and after summer-school and one sophomore year later, Alta found himself graduating at the age of sixteen. Due to his G.P.A. and perfect score from the U.N.C.T, Alta was easily emitted into a prestigious university that was miles away from his home. And after a week of settling in, Alta was ready to begin his classes, when he got a call with the most horrible news. After being in a horrible car accident caused by a drunk driver, his mother was badly injured and unconscious for days. Her situation was considerable better, since his father had died a few hours after the accident accrued. He came back home immediately, and after all the mourning and funeral of his father; Alta stayed in Station Square and went to a near-by college. Even though his mother had recovered from her accident, she was still in deep mourning from the death of her beloved husband; and she refused to get any help. Here, since he no longer had his father to control his life (and his mother stopped caring), he found the world of robotics. Having the worst nerves in the world, Alta knew he did not want to pursue the medical field like his father wanted. So, he tried out various things; including one a teacher suggested to him. Which, was the field of Robotics. He had never worked or learned anything on the subject before; after all, he was to become a doctor not a mechanic. And he soon found that he had an incredible interest in it; as well as enjoying putting simple ones together. It was soon that he changed his majors to the field and he was happy in an academic sense. Though his life at home was a different story. His mother had turned into a complete wreck; going straight into post traumatic stress disorder. Not only that, but she also ended up becoming an abusive alcoholic; in which, Alta would be beaten. Though, he took it. After all, his mother denied getting help from any psychiatrist. Not to mention she never left the house. And what was he to do? Call the police? His mother would die is she was ever thrown in Jail. And unlike some people who would force the person to get help, Alta thought differently. His mother was a grown adult; and despite her mental illness, he felt that his mother’s word was law. So, he withstood it, takeing them in a the while thinking it was the best for his mother. After five years, a bachelor’s degree under his belt as he continued to achieve his Master’s, The Guardians United Nations (A.K.A, G.U.N.) offered Alta an internship at the Prison Island facility. And after a month of internship, Alta soon met his life changing moment. Due to his intelligence, G.U.N. chose Alta to par-take in a special kind of apprenticeship. Though who would be his teacher was unknown to him. He was simply ushered into a high-security zone and told to never speak of it. And for good reason as he soon found himself face to face with Dr. Ivo Robotnik, a mad man he was familiar with as far as hearing his ‘nefarious’ deeds and desire to take over the world. And if that wasn’t enough, he soon found himself in another apprenticeship with his assistant, Rose Dieten Fox. At first it was tense. He didn’t think it was such a great idea for an ‘evil’ mad man to be let around technologies, in which he was so proficient; just as he thought that they shouldn’t allow a master hacker to be around computers. And what was worse on her half, G.U.N seemed fixed on thinking that Rose had been brainwashed by the Doctor; though to him it seemed obvious she was merely insane. But he couldn’t quite complain, as he learned A.I. programming from Rose and Advanced Robotic’s from the Dr. Robotnik. But after five weeks, things changed. He actually didn’t mind Rose, though the first week she was incredible hard on him, she soon grew to like him in her strange ways. On top of that, he grew to like the Doctor as well, seeing that he wasn’t that bad of a guy. Despite both of their insanity though. And once six weeks got in, Rose changed his life around. During one of his day off, he found himself face to face with Rose. Baffled by Rose’s presence, he allowed her into the house, and was quickly knocked out by her. When he came too, he found that the living room was completely clean( for his mother basically lived in the living room) and Rose in the kitchen cooking a quick meal of ramen. When he asked her of what happened, she promptly told him that she knocked him and his mother out; and she was safely facing downward on her bead upstairs. Alta was furious by this though. After all, Rose had just knocked him and his own mother out. But he soon learned that Rose was not the type for other people’s scolding. He was soon chewed out by the women before she knocked him out again. Once he came to a second time, his he found his mother to be fine, sitting at the table and talking to Rose. Granted, his mother still looked to be a mess, but she looked far better than she had before. Through Rose’s little ‘talk’ with her, his mother had decided to finally seek help; and was incredible sorry for her actions the last five years. In which automatically put Alta in Rose’s debt, and Rose already had an idea for what he could do. Her plans quickly changed as soon as he told her about his apprenticeship with the Doctor. This placed him in the position of ‘messenger boy’ for the two. He would sneak Rose’s letters to the Doctor just as he would sneak the Doctor’s letters to Rose. And from there, Alta gained the idea of the Sonic Screw Driver. But after a month they completed it; along with making an exact replica of it to fool G.U.N. in order to help with the escape. But, he was soon caught. Though thanks to the Doctor’s confession, Alta was able to come off clean. And accidently brought the real Sonic Screw Driver along with him. After seven years events of the Doctor’s death, he had a boring life; due to his involvement with Dr. Robotnik, G.U.N. would not allow him to finish his Master’s degree. Nor allow him into the field of robotics of any kind. His job was somewhat shameful to him; as he worked in Twinkle Park as part of the maintenance crew for the rides; as well as a part time job as a waiter. So when the events of the dimension merge, Robotnik’s control of Station Square his life is surprisingly a lot better than it was before. (* U.N.C.T: United Nations College Testing. Basically, since America doesn’t exist, I can’t really use A.C.T(American College Testing) now can I?) [In short terms, WORSE. LIFE. –EVER-. Also, the longest bio I’ve ever written. And yet he was the NPC. Sorry about that. ^w^;; ] |::Combat Style:: | None, other than maybe being in giant mechs. |::Skills:: | Robotics and programming: Though not as great as Dr. Robotnik, Alta is decent with robots and programming them. He usually doesn’t send creations to the field, unless somehow Robotnik wishes it. RUN AWAY!!!!: Alta, not having any physical ability to fight, can at least run away like the coward he is, as well as escape from the scene. And with his handy-dandy Sonic Screwdriver, it makes this all the more possible. |::Strengths::| +Intelligent +Skilled in Robotic’s and programming +Very creative in his work +Can actually endure a lot of damage +Knows how to get away |::Weaknesses::| -Horrible Nerves -Horrible eye-sight -No combat skills -Easy frightened -Nice-guy attitude allows him to be easily walked over -Sociably awkward -Even though he can withstand the pain, it doesn't mean he can survive for long ::Random Facts:: +Wearing casual clothing makes him feel very weird, which is why he doesn’t wear anything casual. +Doesn’t like cramped spaces. + The reason he keeps his hair long is due to tradition passed down from his father, and so forth. +He has quite the crush on Rose. |

RE: Alta Aldridge
Sorry for the bump, but it's because I soon realized through my posting and looking at Rose's profile that I forgot some things that was -very- important. It doesn't unbalance her though.
