Work's piling up
I am now entering what's usually the busiest time of year for me at work. Working a half hour late every day's going to be the norm for a while, and working over an hour late or more isn't going to be uncommon either. It will be very unusual if I get to go home at 5pm. I don't expect to get much relief until late January.

This is no doubt going to slow me down on this board. I'll keep posting (my goal is to post at least every other day) but expect my posts to come slow. This will affect everyone roleplaying with the following characters:

Giichi Twinkieland
Dr. Robotnik
Gail Strafer

RE: Work's piling up
Remember what I said about being busy above? IT GOT WORSE.

Every workday between now and January 1, I'm expecting I'll need to stick around till 6:30pm to 7pm every night. And I betcha I'll need to work on weekends and work on some of my holidays to keep up too.

Once again, I'll try to post at least every other day, but please give me some more lenience than usual. This is a very difficult time for me in terms of my work life.

RE: Work's piling up
I'm entering the home stretch now, but this is going to be when I'll be the absolute busiest. When a new computer system rolls out, there's always going to be tons of problems that need to be fixed and all the new users will have opinions on things that need to be changed. Both of these things equal a ton of work for me.

So when the system rolled out yesterday, I was at work until 9:15pm, and I've still got a lot of new work left over. And I just know I'm going to get just as much work thrown on me today as I did yesterday. So I expect to be at work just as late tonight and probably have to use the weekend for catchup too. I'm tired, but I have to do everything I can to keep up with the flood or I'm gonna be overwhelmed. Next week I hope things will settle down some, but I'm not going to count on it.

It'll probably be pretty bad for about two or three weeks more, and then finally, FINALLY, I can relax a bit and actually go home at 5pm some days.
