RE: Priscilla's yee olde shoppe
(Passing. Until something happens that'd catch their attention, just assume Ji and Anu will remain pat on the rooftop.)
The Shattering screwed up time something awful. A select few were dumped out of their age altogether, a certain Egyptian queen included. One of Kitty O'Brien's characters. |

RE: Priscilla's yee olde shoppe
Now seeing his new allies and realizing he wasn't the only one in danger now, Magnus grabs the huge arm coming right at him, pulls it forward past his head, and hits the large metallic jaw previously aimed at Tech with another electric punch, diminishing the rest of the stored up power in his gauntlet. He now puts himself between her and the beast.
"I hope you have a good plan barging in here to fight beside me. If that last punch didn't do more damage than the first than we might be in trouble. If we can't finish this quickly, I'll have to do something drastic!" |

RE: Priscilla's yee olde shoppe
Magnus had lucked out, had Gail's target been something less armored and softer then Relic, that powerful bullet may have been in the red echidna's sternum along with trace amounts of some other's blood. Instead it was currently flattened against the back of Drake's right shoulder blade. The armor Drake wore while not being able to stop the bullet, slowed it down greatly. Even with a gun that could be used to go elephant hunting, Gail was going to have to get an exposed shot if he hoped to do more then waste ammo. The impact from the bullet didn't even nudge the monstrous vulpine. Tech's own actions prevented her from receiving the nasty bite.
Another clash of metal on metal. Once more the inside of the store was brightly lit up for an instance. Relic's jaws clamped down on nothing, Tech proving agile enough to back out of the way of his massive jaws. He pulled his arm back instead of it going over Magnus' head. He looked back out of the corner of his eyes, there was a massive bang and now a chunk of lead was lodged in his back. A portable cannon? Relic returned to his low, feral stance once more. Hooking the green orb on a chain around his waist, he took a back leap towards Priscilla and Gail, The ex-paladin now had about 15 feet between each of them. The white wolf Priscilla nearly lept out of her skin at the gun shot. "WHA- wha! GOD!" she could barely get a sentence out. She had found his stance perplexing, wondering what he was going to do with the shiny 'whip crack' object. She found out. Lady Priscilla took a moment to gather her nerves, now that the fright had passed. Though she wouldn't have any time to question the wolf on what just happened. Relic threw his arms up, pumping his chest out . The chain mail wings on his back extended fully. Like he was letting out a silent roar. With in a few seconds everything not nailed down began to levitate into the air. Moving slowly towards Relic, the dread knight was pulling everything in the room towards him with darkness wing flaps. Including Priscilla. Figuring he did it for a reason, she pushed towards the ebony fox, hiding the motion of course. Relic wrapped his left gauntlet around her waist, holding her gently in his grip. He made sure to hold her between himself and Gail, he didn't think Gail knew their connection, or that he would take a chance shooting past Priscilla. Also there was no way for Magnus to strike with out frying the wolf too. He had essentially taken his master hostage as far as every else knew. "Oh god, he's c-crushing me!" Priscilla let out a fake pained grunt before she stopped struggling, acting as if Relic had eased up on his grip. With her back towards Gail and Relic obscuring Magnus and Tech's view of her face none of them could see what she began to mouth to Relic. "Play time is over, salvage the currency, safe near the handsome red one, break those who interfere." Relic gave her a blank stare, cocking his head to the side. Priscilla under stood what he meant, it seemed the two learned how to speak with little to no words. "They'll interfere, time wasted" she mouthed "Don't get too damaged by lightning and thunder" she was referring to Gail's weapon. Relic looked from Gail to Magnus and Teach, His darkness wing flaps should have ended by now. He leaned back opening his mouth wide, bluffing that he was gonna bite the wolf's head off. |

RE: Priscilla's yee olde shoppe
By this time, Giichi had gotten over the initial shock of seeing the monster. He decided to creep a little closer and get a better look at the action. Softly, he crept to the shop's doorway. However, one would notice his fur appeared to be fluffing outwards from the fright. His tail looked like a pine cone. Gently, Giichi moved to peek inside the shop.
Then Gail fired his revolver. In the blink of an eye, Giichi whirled back around the corner and flattened himself on the wall beside the door. His fur freshly puffed outwards again from the fright, as he visibly breathed shallowly and quickly. This time, even slower than before, he peeked around the corner. Screaming could be heard inside, but the voice sounded familiar. Is it that white wolf? Finally able to see inside, he saw the wolfess being held in the clutches of that monster. Something felt fake about all of this. When speaking with her before, Giichi got the impression that she was a lying snake. She said the monster made her set up this shop, but if she'd been coerced into doing it, why did she seem so delightfully smug about having this store when he'd first met her? Why was she so happy about ripping off the populace? She seemed positively slimy and proud of it upon first impression, and then instantly acted like a totally helpless victim the moment the monster showed up. But right now it was just a suspicion. Giichi couldn't say for sure one way or another whether this was part of an act. However, he had one idea for clearing up the mystery. Giichi quietly pulled out his blowgun, pointed it at the white wolf, and blew into the tube. A small sleeping dart silently (but quickly) flew across the room, aimed right for the wolf's back. Assuming the dart hit and the wolfess started to go unconscious, he would watch and see what the monster's reaction was. If this was an act, it would throw them off the script, so to speak, and perhaps get the knight to show his true colors. |

RE: Priscilla's yee olde shoppe
The gun did nothing?! But this is one of the most powerful handguns in the world!
For a moment, he stared in disbelief at his weapon, and then back at Relic. If that didn't hurt him, then what else could? Looking back at the monster again, he saw him leaping right towards them. Between the impact and Gail stumbling backwards, the wolf slipped off his feet. As he got to his feet, Gail saw the monster spreading his...wings? But surely he couldn't fly with those. Could he? At this point he thought he wouldn't be surprised if that's what happened. Gail thought wrong. Now everything in the shop appeared to be moving closer and closer to him...including that white wolf he'd just met. He reached out to grab her and yank her back, but Gail was too slow. Now the helpless girl was right in the monster's clutches. But what could he do to help? The damsel in distress being in that thing's grip ruined any chance of him getting a clean shot off. But as the demon seemed to be getting ready to try for another bite attack, Gail raised up his revolver. But he could not fire. All he could do was shout. "NO! STOP!" The air beside his ear parted briefly, as Giichi's dart almost noiselessly whistled right past him. Although he only caught a flicker of movement from the dart, he noticed it. But it distracted him long enough to keep him from shooting. |

RE: Priscilla's yee olde shoppe
I equip my laser handgun after seeing that the bullet didn't work. Then I see the huge beast jump toward Gail and this white wolf who appears to be a damsel in distress. I notice the wings and they flap. It seems to draw me slightly closer to the beast, however the beast stopped once he had the damsel in distress.
When she screamed for the monster to not crush her, I looked at the movement of the beast's hand and it didn't appear to be squeezing her. It almost seemed like the wolf in his grasp was an accomplice. Then I saw the beast prepare to bite the wolf, but bluff. If they weren't accomplices, then the beast would have eaten her whole, I'm sure of it. Instead of aiming at the beast, I aimed for the wolf in the beast's grasp. I decided against it and aimed at the beast's arm (Relic's arm). What stopped me however was hesitation and fear of what the beast might do. At the moment, it was scary enough just to know that beast has wings. I am a cop, if you break the law you better watch out. Don't mind my avatar, I don't draw that well. |

RE: Priscilla's yee olde shoppe
Magnus saw that the fight was going nowhere fast and decided that they needed to find another advantage to exploit. Having his suspicions of Priscilla heightened by Relics capturing of Priscilla and his bluffs of hurting her, Magnus hatched a scheme to drag their partnership out in the open.
As Tech fired her laser handgun, Magnus hurtled the table he was previously sitting at across the room directly at the Priscilla with the assumption that he would not be able to block both the laser and the table while holding her captive. The trap was simple, if they conspired together, he would put himself between the two, if not, he would simply cast her away or use Priscilla as a shield, otherwise he would have a hard time defending both of them. |

RE: Priscilla's yee olde shoppe
Priscilla didn't know what to think when she felt the sting, the only thought that went through he mind was "They must be trying to eliminate the hostage." The drowsiness set in almost immediately, it was a good thing the next part of plan took one simple action. When Relic moved his head forward to bite the wolf, Priscilla stuck her finger through the eye socket in the helm. Stabbing at Drake's eye.
In a mock show of pain, Drake roared back. Letting out a low bellowing cry of pain. He then launched the now sleeping wolf directly at Gail like a fast ball. The dark getting lost in the transition. The laser shot hit and destroyed a piece of armor on his left arm but did little more. His coal black fur was exposed. Behind the metal exterior flesh, blood and bones was there. As all knew in the former barn, anything with flesh and blood could be killed. He purposely moved into the way of the table. Not wanting it to sail by and maybe hurt his master. Though it would be hard to tell because he looked like he did it out of writhing in pain. Taking a knee he let out one last roar before he removed his right hand from his eye. A stream of blood poured from the socket, the bluish glow from behind was no more. The wolf had really stuck her claws into Relic's eye socket. She hadn't removed his eye, it would heal back eventually. He may not even suffer permanent damage. Such was being the ever resilient ex-paladin. Though right now a pool of blood was forming near his feet. Relic hoped that would end any suspicion that himself and Priscilla was in cahoots. Nothing was more important then her wishes and safety. With out hesitation Relic would under go grievous bodily harm just to further even the most trivial part of the white wolf's plans. Relic had not retaliated, though any one would be foolish to assume he would not do so in the coming moments. |

RE: Priscilla's yee olde shoppe
Did she really do what I think she just did? Stick that monster in the eye? That's badass...
But then the demon threw the white wolf straight at him. Instinctively, Gail lowered his arms to catch her, dropping the revolver in the process. However, Priscilla had been thrown very hard. So hard, that when he caught her, Gail went flying backwards into a low shelf under the store's front window. Boxes and containers tumbled down around him, as the shelves crumpled from the impact. He yelped from the impact, but it was more out of surprise rather than pain. Gail took hard hits all the time in his line of work, so he would deal with it. Grunting, he shambled to his feet, still holding the white wolf in his arms. As he stood up, he checked on Priscilla to see if she was okay. Bizarrely, she appeared to be sleeping. How could anyone fall asleep during all of this? In any case, he figured it'd be a good idea to get her out of harm's way before resuming the fight. Gail couldn't let anything happen to that pretty face, after all. So, he slowly limped towards the front of the shop, still carrying her in his arms. Upon making it outside, he gasped in surprise. Hiding around the corner, he'd spy a familiar cat. "Giichi! You're still here?" He tried not to say this too loud, so that Tech wouldn't overhear. |
