RE: Priscilla's yee olde shoppe
[Forgive me for taking so long. I was really busy at work, plus I had trouble thinking up how I wanted to do this post.]

"Listen to me everyone!" Giichi shouted, from his impromptu soap box. Everyone near the front of the shop slowly turned to face him, looking confused. "The lady running this shop is a thief!"

Spoken like a true hypocrite.

Ignoring the irony, Giichi continued on, showing the boxes in his basket as he did. He was careful to point out all the different labels from all the different chains of shops in the area. "She's only been open a couple days, right? So why does she have product from all the stores in this area? And right when they were coincidentally robbed around the same time? She doesn't have a business license posted on public display either, and that's required by law to show you're a legitimate merchant! So what do all of you think of that?"

And the people in the store seemed surprised, although not all that much. It wasn't hard to put the pieces together. But the brief moment of surprise quickly faded to anger, as the customers dropped their goods and started moving to harass the employees, with angry looks in their faces. Others rushed out of the store and started dialing numbers on their cell phones.

RE: Priscilla's yee olde shoppe
Sipping on his tea, Magnus began to hear a lot of commotion coming from both inside and outside of the store and guessed whatever scam was going on had just been exposed.

"Perhaps we can talk another time, it looks like whatever you had going on here has come to an end. I'll find what I need elsewhere, but for now I think I should make sure you explain yourself to these people."

Magnus swallowed the last of his tea, stood up, and fixed his eyes directly on Priscilla's.

"If you come out with me peacefully, I can protect you from the crowd until you are in custody. If you resist, I won't be so merciful. The choice is yours."

RE: Priscilla's yee olde shoppe
"You would protect me?" Priscilla asked in a very sarcastic manner. She figured she needed to stall just a minute or two. That clunk over head told her that the faithful servant had returned. Though she would rather he burst in before she was torn to shreds by the mob.

"You are a fine example of a man's form, but do you think you could really stop them?"

The wolf returned to sitting upright, sipping her tea. Just a few more minutes.

Drake had returned to the top level of what used to be a barn. The commotion outside hadn't escaped him, he pieced together that Priscilla's operation had been outed. He drop the bag of springs with a heavy thump. Walking over to the pile of metal that was his armor. Starting from the bottom working his way up his body he began fitting his gear back on. Each piece clamped on with a dull clink. More akin to heavy shackles then protective gear.

There where about 4 employees under Priscilla, out of them two had their hearts sink when they heard the thump. They knew what lurked up there, it terrorized them to their core.
"Uh oh..."

RE: Priscilla's yee olde shoppe
Giichi smiled, admiring the chaos he'd caused. This would definitely do the trick in ousting this woman from the town. But now it was time to go, before the police arrived.

As he pushed his way through the crowd to the front door, he briefly glanced at the employees running the shop. Bizarrely, the few workers around were terrified, but not of the mob. In fact, they appeared to disregard they were being harassed completely. Instead, they seemed to stare up at the ceiling, as if they could see something horrific through it. Giichi too looked up at the ceiling with them, but he couldn't see anything.

But he definitely started hearing something from up there over the shouting. It sounded like some sort of clinking metallic sound. What could that be? Some sort of security guard getting together a gun? But why would you leave a gun unassembled, and why would it need so many big parts?

In any case, Giichi figured it was the cops' problem now, so he resumed pushing his way out.

Hearing the clinking from above and seeing those around him looking worried at the ceiling, Magnus had a feeling things were about to get messy.

"It looks like it's not the mob I'll be going up against today..."

Magnus clenched his gauntlet covered fists and they began to emit electricity radically as they began to charge. Magnus looked from the ceiling back to Priscilla and smiled as he took a stance.

"You had best take cover in the most secure and stable part of this barn. I just hope I can put an end to this without razing the entire location to a pile of rubble."

RE: Priscilla's yee olde shoppe
The last piece Relic needed to adorn on his body was the full helm. It opened up at the top splitting into 3 segments, all joined with hinges. For such an old set of armor, it was rather intricate and articulated. The dread knight could even form simple expressions with it on, something not normally done with helms.
Drake lifted his left foot about 4 -5 inches off the floor. Setting it back down exerting enough force to shatter the wooden floor completely around him. The knight fell through the floor to the middle of the barn. He landed on one knee, still fitting him helmet on. With a ghastly clink, he began to rise, and rise, and rise. When he fully stood up he towered over everyone, standing nearly 7 foot. He surveyed around him, naturally everyone was completely mortified at his presence. His coal black, lusterless armor. With chains wrapped around his shoulders, spikes on his knees. His grieves had sharp talons where his toes would be. Two large chain mail wings spread from his back, it wasn't a stretch for some people to believe a demon had fallen into the barn. His left arm was a humongous claw, easily three times bigger then it should have.

Priscilla hid the smirk she had on her face. Deciding it was her time to shine. She suddenly got up and thrust herself onto Magnus. Making sure to shed as many crocodile tears as she could.

"He's the one! He forced me to be a pretty face for this store or he would do terrible things to me!"

The white wolf couldn't help but laugh on the inside. All these macho heroic types where easy prey for her mental shenanigans. She even put Relic Drake in that category, the only thing giving her control of him was his word. There was nothing she could do to dominate him, but he had to full fill his obligations. Not that she considered keeping ones word pathetic, just how easy it was for her.

Always looking for Priscilla first, Relic settled his sights on her and the red echidna with crackling gauntlets. He took a lower more feral stance. A thick growl emitting from his chest, like thunder rolling from the horizon. The sound enough was able to make people start to panic and scramble. Though those with Relic in the way of the exit, just tried to get as far away as they could from him. In Relic's right hand was a dull green orb, with a ghastly mist about it.

RE: Priscilla's yee olde shoppe
Giichi spun around on the spot at the crashing sound. He never, ever expected to see what he was witnessing now. Between the smoke and the rubble, he couldn't make out what it was at first. The only thing he saw was that it was big and dark. Gradually the dust settled and the silhouette gave way to clearer details. And the more the cat saw, the more he wanted to get the hell out of there.

But he just couldn't stop watching to see the figure come into focus. What was he looking at? Some sort of armored demon knight? It was the low growl and the green orb that finally got Giichi running again. He pressed his way out along with the rest of the crowd, finally bursting out into the street. Giichi took off running down the sidewalk and never looked back, with his cloak flapping behind him.

Sure, Giichi had combat experience and expertise, but as far as he was concerned he'd be useless against that thing. It would definitely be better if he just got out of the way and let a SWAT team or something take over. Or at least in his head, it made him feel a little better for running like a little pansy.

RE: Priscilla's yee olde shoppe
[From vacationing with evacuees]

Going in the opposite direction on the same street, Gail raced in the direction of the general store. The hoverbike easily glided across the pavement, stirring up little whirlpools of dust behind it. The wolf had to admit he really enjoyed having Tech clutch herself around him, as he raced straight into what could be serious danger. Just the chance to show off in front of her.

But then he saw a vaguely familiar cat running in the opposite direction away from the shop, with a cloak flapping behind him. Gail slowed down a bit as he got closer. Why did he look familiar? And then it hit him. Giichi Twinkieland...he'd been given a photograph of him when he'd gotten his little briefing from the Thieves' Guild. For a moment, the two of them traded a glance at one another. Yes...looks like he'd found his partner in crime, and Giichi had done the same.

But just as quickly, the cat looked away and resumed running. Gail had a pretty good idea why. With Tech sitting behind him in a full police uniform, he doubted now was a good time to hook up. Gail looked away from the cat, and slowed to a gentle stop near the store. First, he'd take care of this problem at this shop, and then he'd catch up.

And it was no doubt this was the place with the disturbance. It seemed like everyone inside the store was hurrying to get out, with people falling over and even getting trampled as they rushed out. Screams, shouts, and general panic saturated the area.

"Tech...is this the place?" Gail said, as the hoverbike powered down and settled to the ground. Thinking about it, he supposed he shouldn't have said that. In context, it sounded like a very stupid question.

I nod. "This is the place and seeing where this cat is going off in fear, then this must be the place. Its right inside that store."

I saw the cat and looked at the shop, the cat and then the shop. It was Giichi, that I knew for sure. But the store is more important right. I may not have jurisdiction in Higara, but this is something that I shouldn't just ignore.

"Before we go in Gail, I just wanna say that the hoverbike felt very good."

I am a cop, if you break the law you better watch out. Don't mind my avatar, I don't draw that well.

(From Vacationing With...)

Jijeka-Te and Anu touched down on a rooftop from where Gail's parking spot was visible.

(Ji) "So, what do you think we should do first, Anu?"
(Anu) "I think we should let them handle this for the time being, and only jump in if our assistance seems necessary."
(Ji) "Sounds good."

For now, they just stayed put.

The Shattering screwed up time something awful. A select few were dumped out of their age altogether, a certain Egyptian queen included.

One of Kitty O'Brien's characters.
