[Dr. Robotnik]

Robotnik blinked a few times, as he was confused by Novus's question.

"Weren't you paying attention during the briefing? We're going mining for emerald shards. I'm going to use them for a power source and to make stronger robots."

Turning to Rampage, he smiled a little as he walked to a nearby window.

"We're going to get started as soon as we land on the island. It should be down below us right about...now."

In the solid blue ocean below, they would see a single solitary green island with a large mountain in the middle. Many black specks appeared to be buzzing around a crater on the far side of the land mass. As they got closer, the observers would see those were Robotnik ships that had already arrived at the island and started to set up shop.

"That crater lake is the Launch Base. It's where I docked the Death Egg while I made repairs to it after Sonic damaged it the first time. There's some old infrastructure still working, so it's the ideal place to set up camp. Anyway, we should be landing momentarily."
