RE: Battle of Soleanna - Field Hospital
Giichi smiled, and bowed. "Thank you Tails. I'm glad you see things my way." The cat didn't particularly relish the idea of having to flee this place in a hurry anyway, not to mention he would have hated to have to harm Tails to do it. "Now I just have to figure out...what I'm going to do in the meantime... I guess I'll see you later then, Tails."

Giichi waved to the fox as he left the field hospital. On down the hill he walked, back towards civilization.

As he walked and pondered his next move, Giichi scratched his chin and gazed off into the distance. Go home and sleep, perhaps? But that didn't sound any fun, plus it'd be a really long walk. And Soleanna was probably under martial law right now, so that wouldn't be good either. There was a small village on the outskirts of the city in the grasslands...maybe he could go there? They had a cybercafe, so maybe he could get an update on what was going on with the Thieves' Guild.

A little while ago he'd put out a request for a partner to help him retrieve emerald shards from Angel Island. Petya was going to be his original partner, but she'd conked out this morning on vodka. Giichi chuckled and shook his head. He wondered if she was still in the bar and had slept through Soleanna being bombed to hell and back.

In any case, maybe in the meantime someone had replied to the message. That could be who could help him get his car back. The cybercafe definitely seemed like a good place to go next. So that's where he was going to go. Off he walked, towards the Higara Grasslands.

RE: Battle of Soleanna - Field Hospital

Tails waves goodbye and he clears debris from the road. Somethings were too heavy, so a push is in order. He grabs a drink of water as he works.

Tails did know he would have to find Sonic at some point, but over the course of picking up debris this was his chance to get to figure out places where he could be that might be in Soleanna. But a place that isn't in the city itself. Robotnik did drop Sonic off somplace deserted after all.

I know Sonic is around here somewhere. I don't know where exactly. I'll be able to find him at some place. I think I know of a beach that's in the outskirts of this city, but isn't quite far enough to be in Cross Country.

Tails waves one final time at Giichi as he leaves and returns to clearing enough debris adequate enough for a decent take off in the airplane.

Sonic, I won't be long!

Tails prepares the tornado for take off and heads to the quiet beach. He isn't necessarily sure Sonic is there, but if he isn't he'll know where to look next.

If Sonic isn't where I think he is, then he'll probably be at my workshop. But first, I don't wanna feel like I left him behind if he did in fact wait for me at the drop off point. Here I come Sonic!

To the quiet beach.

RE: Battle of Soleanna - Field Hospital
Vanessa sighed. The blue cat had been working in the make shift hospital for a couple of hours now. She didn't like to work, but she could stand this job. All the cool scars people would have, she was disappointed as every one was coming in with laser burn wounds. The soldier who had grabbed her when she entered the city promised her she would be payed very well, even given the illustrious tittle of 'volunteer'. The cat always heard how praised volunteers where praised, she figured it would be worth it for a while.
The field hospital was glad they had picked up the cat as well. They found out she wasn't too good with complicated directions, but hand her a tray and tell her to bring it some where and only Sonic would have gotten it there faster. As much of knuckle head as they thought of the cat, she was in full control of her body. Weaving between people while holding the trays of medical instruments with out so much as missing a beat.
"Hey! We got another one! Blood loss! Get an I.V. stat!" the soldiers where calling as they brought yet another one in.

RE: Battle of Soleanna - Field Hospital
Moments later, two medic's brought in a litter carrying a deer dressed in a green leather tunic. He was a mess, covered in a combination of dirt and dried blood. His elbows and knees especially were a gory mess of caked on dirt and blood. But in addition he had several nasty looking gashes all across his body.

It was at that moment when the medic's transferred Chadin from his litter to a temporary operating table and Tancer came by with the requested I.V. equipment that his eyes fluttered open briefly.

I was in a complete daze as they brought me in. Of course, even the knowledge that someone was taking me anywhere was well beyond my level of awareness. I could feel every part of my body screaming in pain with every step the stretcher bearer's took.

The situation my bleary eyes first took in did little to alleviate my initial fears. Overlanders were rushing to an fro, many of them were covered in red blood. in a reddish-grey haze, I could recognize very little except shapes. But the one thing that stood out in my mind was the sight of a blue cat approaching me with a bizarre metal branch. I've never been inside an Overlander hospital, so I've never seen a metal I.V. tree. And what really caught my attention wasn't the cat either. I've seen plenty of them before, but I've never seen one with such a bright blue fur colour before. I know that such radical fur colours aren't uncommon per say, but they still manage to grab your attention nonetheless. Unfortunately, I passed out again before I had a chance to say anything to the strange fox.

As a doctor came over to inspect Chadin's injuries, the man's eye's lit up with realization and even with his surgical mask over his face you could practically see the smile he wore. "Hey, I recognize this guy. This is the deer that was riding on that dragon fighting those air ships!" Several other medical staff turned away from their own patients and began to murmur their agreement of the first doctor's assessment. Many of the staff had been watching Robotnik's ultimatum speech, and in that speech, he had shown a brief glimpse of Chain and Dulcy on the large holographic image in the sky.

RE: Battle of Soleanna - Field Hospital
"Deer?" The cobalt blue cat perked her head. The ear with a piece missing twitched around as she began searching for a deer. "What de-ah hey!" The doctors had little desire to deal with Vanessa. The began pushing the cat away, short of full on shoving her. "But hey, I wanna see!"
A nurse pulled her away, sending her off for more supplies. This time food and water, people needed to eat. "and don't pick out all the meat from the food this time." The nurse said as she rushed the cat off.

It had been a couple of hours, when she happened by Chadin again. She had been searching for him for 20 minutes, he undoubtedly would have the coolest scars she thought. She took a seat next to his bed. "Hey!" she let out, sitting on the chair backwards, leaning on the back. If he was not awake now, he would have been in a coma.

RE: Battle of Soleanna - Field Hospital
When Venessa came back to sit beside Chadin's bed, he'd probably look more like a mummy than a deer with all the bandages covering his body. His head was wrapped a couple times around his forehead with a distinctive red patch visible beneath the bandage above his left eye. His neck arms and torso were also bound in bandages. Beneath the blankets covering his lower body he also hand several bandages wrapped around his legs. It would also appear that the explosion that he had survived also took a chunk out of the bottom edge of Chadin's right ear. In short, Chadin was a mess, but at least the hospital staff had been able to clean much of the dried blood and dirt out of his fur. While technically not a scar, Venessa would definitely have a clear view of the unique tattoos burned into the flesh of both cheeks.

I was starting to emerge out of the hazy darkness when a sharp, perky voice practically yelled in my ear. Of course, when my eyes shot open and I saw that the cat speaking to me was actually a rather respectable distance away, I groaned; mentally cursing my species acute hearing.

With the initial shock gone, the pain i caused my my sudden jerk up came rushing to my brain. I curled forward while my right arm clutched my stomach in pain. I strained against the pain and actively forced my eyes to scan my surroundings while my ears simultaneously swiveled back and forth with a will of their own as they to sought to give me a sense of my surroundings.

The first thing I noticed, besides the blue cat sitting anxiously beside me, was that there were a LOT of Overlanders around me. Having just had my brain scrambled with a recent dose of wall hitting face thanks to a certain Doctor's exploding robot parts, I rather understandably did not remember how the soldiers found me and brought me here. So I'd say I am safely right to be a little nervous when I awake to find myself in completely unfamiliar surroundings, surrounded by a species that until a week ago were age-old enemies to me with a strange blue cat starring at me like I just won an Oscar or something.

"Wh-Who are you? Where am I?" I quickly blurted out to the only Mobian in immediate sight. I may have willingly come to help these Overlanders against Robotnik, but that still didn't mean I felt totally comfortable around them and it showed in my body language.

Vanessa's muzzle spread into a large smile. She wasn't happy he was in pain, but she was happy he was moving. She placed a ripe red delicious on the side his bed. "Here, I got this fer ya." She began thinking about the question posed to her. Rocking back and forth on the chair, Keeping it balanced on only two legs. "I'm Vanessa blue! who else would I be? ESG's numbah 2 enforcer!"

Vanessa let the chair fall back. She grabbed his closest hand with hers, noticing his where bandaged, just like her own. "Do you like knocking punk's on their tails too?" The blue cat's orange eyes shown wide with eagerness. It was so hard finding a fellow street fighter. "Maybe you could help me find the deer, Mr.Moose."

RE: Battle of Soleanna - Field Hospital
My ears skewed to the sides as the often do when I'm confused or puzzled. If her reply was any indication, I'd almost think she had expected me to know who she was. Considering the dimensional merge, I would have thought people would just expect nobody to know who they are. The fact I'd never visited a major city, much less knew what an gang enforcer was, I didn't have a clue what Vanessa was talking about.

But while I was mulling over what a strange response she'd given, she grabbed hold of my hand at an alarmingly quick pace. My ears shot straight up in surprise. Even bandaged, the electrical burns from my earlier encounter with Robotnik while in that jail cell were still quite tender. "OW! Take it easy... Vanessa, was it?" I replied as I pulled my hand out of her grasp and gingerly rubbed it with my other hand.

Those big cat eyes staring at me like an idolizing fan really wierded me out; almost to the point of distraction. I just about failed to register what she said next. But it was that moose crack that made my ears shoot up with indignation. "I am NOT a moose, I'm a deer; and my name is Chadin." I replied sternly, keeping a watchful eye on this cat while I took stock of my situation.

RE: Battle of Soleanna - Field Hospital
Vanessa lowered her ears and frowned a bit at the deers scolding. "Oh... you're not a moose." the ex-gang member had never met a moose, she had been so excited at the prospect of meeting one.Though one could have mistaken at first it was because she had hurt the deer. In a fraction of a second she perked up. "You ever wonder what it's like to be a moose, Chad?"

She began scratching her head, rustling her taped up hands through her shoulder length, crimson hair. "Stupid hood, giving me stupid hat-hood-hair. Don't you hate when you take off yer freakin' hood an' it still feels like it's on?" the cat clearly showed signs of ADD. Maybe even ADHD too. She couldn't focus on one thing for very long and seemed really uncomfortable being in place for more then mere moments.
If Chadin didn't interrupt her she was going to go on from one subject to the next.
