City Streets

RE: City Streets
Hearing the sound, he wasted no time in entering the building, being as silent as possible. And he kept moving, entering another room to make sure if he would be chased, he'd have the step ahead.

Obviously the place -wasn't- abandoned. No living soul may not be around, but there were more of those robots around. When was he going to stop running into those things? He'd never seen so many of them around like this. In fact, he'd never really seen them before. They were beginning to become a pain for him. They didn't burn easily, and attacking upfront is stupid idea. Which made him completely useless against them. But, at least they seemed stupid enough for him to sneak past. It would appear that he'd have to relay on that rather than his fire-making skills.

RE: City Streets
The next room looked much like the first room Byrain had seen. No part of the building looked like it had been cleaned properly in years, the furniture looked old and worn out, plus trash and trinkets picked from the garbage lay scattered all around. But obviously people currently lived here all the same. The obvious question was where they had all gone. Perhaps if Byrian looked around inside he'd find information as to why.

In the meantime, he'd continue to hear the slight humming sound of spybots gliding along the streets outside. While not a physical threat like the SWATpods, they would instantly raise an alarm if Byrain was seen.

RE: City Streets
Once he figured he wasn't being followed, and he was hidden from any windows, he began to look around. He stood upright, but still remained silent. He was now somewhat curious about it all. After all, it didn't add up in his head. And even though he didn't care, he still wanted to know what was causing it. His first instinct was to search through any nearby drawers and cabinets; looking around for notes of some kind.

RE: City Streets
Soon Byrain would find an official-looking document in one of the drawers with Robotnik's emblem on the top. Unlike everything else in the building he'd seen so far, this paper looked virgin white and in pristine condition, with "ROBOTROPOLIS CITIZENS' DAILY SCHEDULE" enblazed across the top.

Inside Byrain would see the first items as follows:

6am - Wake up call/breakfast
7am - Report to designated work areas for day's work
7pm - Workers may go home
....

Since it was currently the middle of the day, that meant Byrain would have this place to himself for a good few hours with only the spybots occasionally passing by.

RE: City Streets
'What the hell -is- this?' Byrain mental thought to himself as he looked at the paper, ' Looks more like a slave command to me.'

The emblem was familiar to him, but he didn't really care one away or another. He placed the document on a surface, not caring to put it back in his place. At least it meant he was in the clear; for now. He could search through the building without worrying about running into people, and them meeting up with an...accident. He began to move around silently, making sure as to not draw out attention, looking for something to help his wake of destruction. He was determined to find -something- of use. Why anyone would have a tank of gasoline lying around the house, he wouldn't know; but considering that the 'citizens' had' long hard schedules, he didn't know what he'd find.

It would not take long for Byrain to find things like candles laying around, plus firewood in apartments lucky enough to have fireplaces. It looked like despite the electricity in this place, the people expected there to be blackouts from time to time. But any flammable chemicals were nowhere to be found.

However, the place was covered in rubbish paper and assorted other goodies, which would no doubt catch fire easily.

RE: City Streets
The materials around him did not amuse him. While things were flammable, he need something to cause a fire- and quick. Though it did tell him that the place would burn in a quick instance. The thing was, how was he going to get the building to be set on fire and quick?

The answer came to him, even though it was possible for such a thing to not be around. Since the place looked as though it didn't use electricity, and assuming they could eat, there would have to be a gas stove. Even though he was getting his hopes up, he still grinned manically as he looked for a kitchen in the shabby place.

RE: City Streets
It wouldn't take long for Byrain to track down exactly what he was after. A big, exposed pipe ran from the stove into the ceiling, just ripe for being broken open and releasing some gas.

RE: City Streets
Seeing the gas pipe he was pleasantly surprised. After the incident in the outskirts, and then stepping into the twightlight zone something would finally go his way. He hoped, at least. Now all he had to do was find a soup can-or a cup. As long as it was large enough to drop the grenade in and hold the handle; so he could rig it and blow the place up. In a glorious, bright, INFERNO.

But before he went to savage around for a vessel worthy of holding his wonderful fire-starter, he had to get the fuel started; since there wouldn’t be much of an explosion without it. He slinked over towards the stove and turned the gas on’ to the point where he broke the handle off the stove; nothing short of a giddy maniac in a candy store would do. A candy store of FIRE.

[You know, I don't have much to do until the firestorm begins. Maybe you should just keep writing until you get to that part.]
