RE: City Streets
And now his last piece of defense was down. Great. He didn’t struggle as the SWATbot began to hoist him up by his shoulders. Though, to his dismay his broken glasses slipped on his face, which made him feel all more at lost. He was tired, everything was blurry, and he was caught. Though at least he wasn’t panicking. It was a good thing he managed to take that bit of medication before all of this happened. Or he could of started to hyperventilate or something. Which, personally, he didn’t really like going through. He didn’t say a word as he was expecting to feel a knock on the head or maybe a shot from a stun gun that would end up knocking him out.

RE: City Streets
If the SWATbots had a personality, one of them probably would have belted out a one-liner at this point. "Lights out!", "Sweet dreams!", or "We're tazin' you bro!" would have been likely candidates. At least Alta was spared this much when one SWATbot placed a stungun against Alta's chest and fired it point blank.

RE: City Streets
Alta was out instantly. His blurry vision soon went quickly to black as his body went completely limp. Now he would seem like a ragdoll to the SWATbots as they took him.

( OOC: I guess that means this is over XD. Unless somehow you want to go to the SWATbots trying to personally interrogate him or something. )

RE: City Streets
(time for Rose to enter the picture. Shall note she’s in another section of the city from where Alta had is screw-up)

“Hooo-lllly ****!!!

Her mouth was a-gapped as she stood on the sidewalk in the opening of an alley-way; caring not for what on-lookers would think of her. The look on her face as she exclaimed was a strange mixture of anger, shock, confusion, and a hint of happiness. The view she saw; the strange mixture of brick architecture with metal skyscrapers was surprising. And the huge tower in the distance was a sight to behold. The dark atmosphere and general tense feeling in the air seemed to bring a newfound glee into the stranger’s woman’s perspective. Her face almost seemed to brighten up after the intentional shock.

“When did –I- die and go to HEAVEN?!?!”

Something screwy was up and she knew it. She had felt a strange tremor a few days ago, but didn’t pay much to it. But after she had tried to check up on the world via through internet, it forced her out of her secured bunker in the mountains.

Well, it –was- in the mountains…’ Rose thought bitterly to herself. Instead, it seemed to be under a city; in the middle of a ruined service tunnel. Once getting out of it, she was pretty sure it was Station Square; after all, she’d seen the city on several different occasions. But now, she wasn’t sure where she was. Looking around, she saw that there were people still walking the streets; though it seemed fewer than before. And what was most surprising was the fact that there were robots out in the open. Most of the time, they were only out during big battles or fights. What the hell were they doing walking around a city?

She seemed to be the only one that minded, as the rest of the people as they passed by her (with a weird expression on their face) seemed to go on as if nothing was wrong. Putting her right hand to her chin, she began to stare out towards the tower; while adjusting her hold on “Hennery”, moving the gun barrel to rest more on her neck.

RE: City Streets
In response to Rose screaming out, a number of SWATbots turned their heads towards her. One of them noted that she appeared to be in possession of a firearm. No citizen of Robotropolis was allowed to own guns, let alone carry them openly. So that pretty much put the SWATbots nearby on full alert.

A SWATbot standing in front of Rose, but further down the sidewalk, raised up his arm laser. "Citizen! Drop your weapon and surrender!" Another SWATbot behind Rose rushed in to help, pulling up his own gun. Meanwhile, all the other denizens on the street screamed and ran for cover. It wouldn't be long before Rose would be alone with the bots.

But despite the hubbub the SWATbots were indifferent to it all, not really caring if anybody wandered into harm's way. The SWATbot coming from behind Rose ran through the crowd as if it wasn't there. He knocked aside people or ran right over them without missing a beat. Clearly the SWATbots were only interested in arresting dissidents, rather than worrying about public safety...

RE: City Streets
With a brow raised she looked at the robot in front of her, as well as looking behind. Well, this was a nice predicament. Not out one minute, and they already wanted to kill her. Like she was going to give in that easily. Looking back to the front with a dull expression, she then proceeded to give the SWAT bots a fake concerned face; taking her right hand and laying it flat on her cheek.

Weapon?!” She exclaimed, with a hint of sarcasm, “Hennery is –NOT- a weapon. And frankly, I don’t think he likes being called that.” Quickly, she pulled the Tommy-gun in position to fire; shooting a few shots at a nearby parked vehicle (in hopes that it may explode) which was in the path of the robot running towards her. As quick as she shoot her few scattered shots at the car, she began to run for it across the street.

[5/50 shots]

( think there's a way Alta can be tied into this? Maybe they're notified or something. Just curious.)

RE: City Streets
[Alta's still technically in the tower, but for convenience we'll portray events both here and there in this topic for now.]

Rose's shots hit their mark, but the car only smoked a little bit from under the hood. However, Rose's brazen little attack did force the running bot to stop and take cover behind the vehicle. As she ran across the street, the bot returned fire with his own arm cannon. Considering Rose now presented a clear, dangerous threat, the SWATbot used his lethal lasers, instead of the stun beams.

If Rose turned around as she ran, she'd see the vehicle's gas cap on the back of the car, near the trunk.

In the meantime, the SWATbot that was standing in front of Rose fired his own potshots at her through the crowds of running, screaming citizens. Once again though, it clearly didn't care if other people got in the way, because one or two of his shots found their marks on innocent civilians. Even as he attacked, the SWATbot called in for backup.

"Armed citizen in Sector 3-BL! Send backup...target is armed with a rapid-fire laser gun!"

---

Meanwhile, back at the Egg Tower, Alta would hear radio chatter from the SWATbots' radios. If he listened carefully, he could probably hear the alert about Rose.

RE: City Streets
As soon as Rose crossed the street she quickly took cover over a nearby vehicle. She ignored the reaction of the crowd, as she didn’t really care; after all, half of them deserved to be dead in her option. Sitting down on the pavement, she hissed through her teeth as she reached for her laptop in her bag. But, she ended up quickly putting it away in frustration and anger since her connection to the internet was still gone.

“And where’s that Ka-boom!!!” Rose shouted in anger, throwing her arms up into the air a little, “There was supposed to be an earth-shattering KA-BOOM!!!”

Grabbing her gun, she peeked out of the left side of the parked vehicle, looking towards the direction of the smoking car. She peered angrily at the vehicle (as though she was trying to make it explode with her mind) a moment before she noticed something. Seeing that the gas cap off the car she had shot, she grabbed Hennery.

“Well ain’t –this- convenient?”

Quickly throwing herself out of the cover of the vehicle, she landed on her left side, and once again tried to shoot at the car; this time aiming more at the gas pipe. Wither she would hit it or not was uncertain.

“Whaa--?!” Alta was taken aback. Did he just…

Going over to the consol quickly, he tried to turn the volume up.

“What’s going on!?” he asked the voice, shock obviously in his voice.

RE: City Streets
[ =3 I like this new Rose better than the old one already =D I suppose we'll assume Alta is in his new quarters when he gets the message?]

Rose definitely got what she wanted this time. The gas tank went up in a nice little explosion, briefly illuminating the entire street with a bright flash of light. And when it cleared, the SWATbot behind the car had been blown into a wall, leaving a nice big SWATbot-shaped dent in the bricks where it hit. It laid there on the ground, totally burnt and smashed from the front, not moving.

However, the other SWATbot took this opportunity to flank Rose's position. It ran around the side of the car she WASN'T shooting from, hoping to catch her by surprise from behind. Rose would hear the pounding of its footsteps now. It rushed in, with its laser gun up. If she didn't move fast, she'd be caught at gunpoint.

---

SWAT Surveillance gave the full details to Alta. Or at least, what it knew currently. "We have an intruder present in Sector 3-BL. This is the suspect." SS sent him an image from one of the SWATbot's helmet cams, showing him a picture of Rose. "All SWATbots in the area are mobilizing to kill or apprehend her now, depending on how cooperative she is."

RE: City Streets
[She’s just more fun, isn’t she? And yes, we can suppose.]

The explosion caused Rose to quickly close her eyes and gain cover over the vehicle quickly. She had a smile as though she was soothed, but was quickly dropped as she opened her eyes again. She could hear the footsteps of the robots coming at her. Without hesitation, she quickly got up from her sitting position and began to run off, back to the other side of the street in which she came. Though it would be farther down a ways from where she had started.

“Very smooth, boys, very smooth.” Rose said aloud, not really caring if the robots heard her or not. “’Bout as subtle as a hippo walking into a room with shaky boards and glass.”

-----

He was stunned for a second. He’d hadn’t seen Rose in..seven years. In fact, he was sure he wouldn’t see her again since then. How ironic it was that he would see her in Robotnik’s city going against his law. Which helped him to snap back and go straight into panic mode.

“Ahhh—NO, No, no, no-stop!! Decease!! Stop trying to either kill or apprehend her!!” He shouted worriedly, “It’s-ahhh big mistake!! A mis-understanding. Is, there, umm…any way I can communicate? Just, something-anything!! I can get this straightened out!”
