RE: City Streets
Not actually keen on answering Omega's question, he found Espio's interruption dramatic, amazing, and appreciable. Acknowledging the chameleon's inquiry, Whip lifted his ears to show he was attending, but otherwise continues staring out as he responded, "Look at what? This place is like a ghost town, but with zombies." He took into account what he'd said for a second, before reiterating. "It's a zombietown!"

RE: City Streets
The hedgehog glared at the rabbit, knowing something like what these people had gone through. "Don't call them zombies. These are innocent people, forced into doing what Robotnik wants just to survive. Those robots? Those are zombies. They don't think, or act on their own. These people have some free will, and they're making the best of what they can."

He closed his eyes and took a deep breath to calm himself down, before responding to the chameleon. "Yeah. I'm good."

[Bumping this because even if I wanted to enforce the absence rule, I'd be left alone again anyway!]

RE: City Streets
[Funny, I think Tutley's been around the board. Wonder why he never posted here. Anyway, I'll skip him to keep us moving.]

Alpha, Espio, and Whip would hear a loud groan originating from a large trash pile several meters away from them. Paper scattered, old cans clattered together, and bits of old food spilled over the ground as a disheveled figure in filthy clothes hauled itself out of the muck. Since the alleyway was dark, much could not be seen of the figure. It slowly began shambling towards the trio, holding an arm outstretched as it continued to make loud groaning sounds.

RE: City Streets
At first, Whip paid literally no attention to the shambling form at all. It seemed no different to the others whom were suffering along the street.
It was the groaning that did it for him.
His ears picked up the reverberation for the deep, guttural sound much more heavily than should have been normal, and upon taking a second glance at the figure, the one, already-established thought screamed through his head. His body prepared to follow in suit as he noticeably inhaled, preparing to just about give away their entire position.

RE: City Streets
Omega spun and looked at the figure, shaking a bit upon first seeing him. However, the noise it was making was a real problem, so the hedgehog ran toward it, then dove at it, placing his hands over the figure's mouth, riding its chest to the ground.

[Aparently Aftermath has issues displaying the page off a wii. That and theres been a lot of uneeded drama at home. e\/e; ]

Espio turned to the figure, prepared to try and shush the stranger by talking him or her down; but Alpha took control of the situation immediatly, and rather cleanly at that. "Allow me...", he said giving Whip a pat on the right shoulder.

Playing things as the role of a good cop, he casually approached the cloaked figure. "Relax...we mean no ill intent.", he said in a cool, calm voice. "We need you to relax, and remain quiet- because if you don't, the men outside this alleyway won't be as eager to talk as we are. If you understand, nod twice...slowly.", he added at the end. It could pay off not frightening the cloaked figure for reasons besides keeping their location hidden- a good bribe from a villager tends to net a ninja good information.

Espio, master ninja extrodinare at your service.

RE: City Streets
Now that they had the figure down, they'd see that it was just some drunken human bum sleeping in the trash. His face was just as blackened from the garbage as his clothes. He smelled positively awful too, and once Alpha got up off of the bum he'd notice that some of the stains and filth had transferred between their clothes.

The man did thankfully sit still on the ground, but he didn't look like he was hearing half of what Espio was saying. Instead of expressing surprise at suddenly being pushed down, he looked more like he was still trying to wake up from his nap in the trash. The bum's eyes blinked slowly and wandered around to no particular places.

However, he did appear to understand the words 'nod twice' as he looked at Espio, and did so. But he only did it because those were the only words he caught, and not because he heard the rest of the speech.

RE: City Streets
After the initial fright, the knowledge that the figure was just another of the unfortunate people allowed Whip to respond parasympathetically. Still, even without paying too much attention, he easily recognized the stupor and subsequent bummage that the man exhibited.
"I don't think this guy would yell if you smashed his drinks over his head." Whip callously noted. "He's seriously messed up."
Though Whip's words were insensitive, his eyes had a look that did not fit his face at all. He seemed almost upset by the man, upset and slightly empathetic.

RE: City Streets
Omega slowly removed his hand from the man's mouth, and slid off him and onto his own feet. He brushed some of the man's filth from his jacket, and though he was glad to be off of him, he would quickly jump back on if the situation demanded it.
