RE: Vacationing with evacuees
Realizing his behavior had been offensive, Magnus felt bad and immediately made an attempt to explain himself.
My most sincere apologies, I'm not from around here and I'm not quite sure how to behave around people in general. Perhaps I should introduce myself first, my name is Magnus, I've been traveling for a long while to meet up with the Freedom Fighters and I'm just passing through looking for a part for my motorcycle. |

RE: Vacationing with evacuees
I take my mind off of the potatoes for a little bit and explain where the Freedom Fighters are. "My Chief told me that the war of Soleanna is over, so I'm almost positive they're not that far off. I'm almost sure that Giichi is still up there, but I don't know where. Although, he isn't a freedom fighter - he's more of a tag along."
I go back to the potatoes and listen for any response from either Gail or Magnus. Hopefully Magnus' response is in my cards. I am a cop, if you break the law you better watch out. Don't mind my avatar, I don't draw that well. |

RE: Vacationing with evacuees
Ji eyed Magnus from afar. Something about him seemed very intimidating. Her frills began to fan out reflexively.
"Just ignore him, Your Highness," Anu whispered. Ji decided to comply, and retracted her frills again. The strips were cool enough to eat now, so Ji tried one. It was a very foreign taste, but somehow pleasant. The Shattering screwed up time something awful. A select few were dumped out of their age altogether, a certain Egyptian queen included. One of Kitty O'Brien's characters. |

RE: Vacationing with evacuees
"That's better," Gail said, in response to Magnus' apology. But he maintained a frown, as he walked back into the kitchen. "Let me get this next batch of chicken ready and I'll come take a look."
He quickly removed the second set of strips from the skillet and placed them on another plate with a paper towel. After he got the next batch going and washed his hands, he came back to where Tech and Magnus were. It was then that Tech mentioned Giichi. Gail's eyes visibly widened, but only for a second. Giichi...Giichi Twinkieland? My contact with the Thieves' Guild? Is she talking about him? It might be some other Giichi, but that first name is very distinctive and rare. It could be him. I need to pry a bit more...but I can't make it look like I'm his ally. Not when she's a cop. So Gail decided to feign ignorance of any Giichi's. Besides, there was still a chance it was just some other person with the same name. "Tech...who's this Giichi person you're talking about? Is he a friend of yours?" To make it look like he didn't consider that important, he decided to pick back up with Magnus again. "Oh...um...and you, do you know what's wrong with the bike? Do you know what part you need?" |

RE: Vacationing with evacuees
The shocks are worn out from riding off the beaten path so to say, sometimes the road isn't always the fastest way to a given destination.
Magnus gives a little smile at his own comment. So do you know where I can find a good part? |

RE: Vacationing with evacuees
I finish peeling potatoes and grab a small knife and cut the potatoes. I cut the potatoes into fourths and slice them into cubes and place them, one by one, into the pot. I tuned out the world while doing this potato cooking and decide it would be best to not say anything further.
Its just as the saying goes, when something has been said that seems a little trippy; don't say anything further. That mention of Giichi might be something I should have just kept quiet about. I am a cop, if you break the law you better watch out. Don't mind my avatar, I don't draw that well. |

RE: Vacationing with evacuees
Ji tried another strip; she very much enjoyed the taste. Anu seemed to like it as well.
"This is very pleasing to the tongue," Ji commented. "We really must speak to the royal chef and see if he can duplicate this recipe." Anu sighed. "Your Majesty, I'm not at all confident that will happen anytime soon-- we're stuck in this world with no way back, remember?" "...Right." The Shattering screwed up time something awful. A select few were dumped out of their age altogether, a certain Egyptian queen included. One of Kitty O'Brien's characters. |

RE: Vacationing with evacuees
Gail chuckled at Magnus' mention of using an old-fashioned wheeled bike.
"You wouldn't have that problem with a hoverbike. That's why you really should get one if you can afford it, like I did. Anyway...I just got here myself. Maybe you could ask Tech over there in the kitchen if there's a motorcycle shop in town." Gail waved in her direction, as she continued her work on the potatoes. "She's the one who lives here, not me. I am a motorcycle mechanic, but without parts I can't do much for you." Looking at Tech again, he wondered why she had dropped the subject so quickly on Giichi. What was up with that? He'd definitely need to do a little more digging. |

RE: Vacationing with evacuees
Alright then, thank you Gail.
Magnus now turns to Tech. Tech, would you know the whereabouts of a motorcycle parts shop in the area? |

RE: Vacationing with evacuees
I explain. "Its by the street called 'SandBox Ln.' and best of all you won't have to leave this topic. Its right beside a couple hardware huts."
I continue my task. I am a cop, if you break the law you better watch out. Don't mind my avatar, I don't draw that well. |
