RE: Vacationing with evacuees
"My writer is glad that you did enjoy Scott Pilgrim and more as far as your writer is concerned. However, my writer hasn't really been in the realm of playing Zelda. My writer isn't sure about whether or not Avatar should be purchased on either home video formats. Its a good movie to an extent, but for a whole hour and a half nothing really happens. Regardless, it still would be a visual epic on screen."
I pause for a second and something else comes to mind. "My writer did get a chance to see the "Gilr Who Played With Fire" today and he thought is was a very pleasing movie. My writer definitely might get that on a home video format for sure. Definitely a movie that stays true to the book written by Stieg Larsson. It may have had a different director than the first movie, but it was definitely a great treat to watch in theaters for the first time. You should definitely get the home video format for the "Girl With the dragon Tattoo" because you won't disappointed. The movie really kept my attention and it is definitely well worth the watch. "Another good thing about the movies that are all being released this year, there will also be a English language version of all three films coming out sometime in December of 2011. I believe it'll be december 21. I definitely know that my writer won't miss the chance to see those movies." Something flows through my head once more after a few breaths of air. "There will also be a release of the "Girl Who Played With Fire" on October 26. I know for sure that my writer will get that and I hope your writer gains the courage to get both of the stieg larsson films on home video before the Englis films reach the theaters. Another movie that'll be out on October 26 will be "Alien Anthology". Its the movies with Sigourney Weaver. The blu-ray release will have four films on four discs - both with a theatrical and an extended release all on each disc. To top it off, it also has two special features disc that discusses what it took to make all four films. My writer definitely plans to get that as well. Should definitely be a treat. The blu-ray of the Alien Anthology does cost almost $100 but it should be well worth the price considering what it would cost if the movie were separate. Those three, or six films - both the swedish films and the Alien Anthology shoulc be very worth your time. My writer would definitely say that the alien films would look great in HD formats from the Blu-ray. Definitely one of his must haves other than the "Girl Who Played With Fire." I hope your writer gets to see another movie soon." I pause for a few minutes. "Now, as I asked earlier, what movies does your writer think would be best to get on DVD or Blu-ray? If that's too personal of a question, just tell me and I'll relay the message to my writer." I am a cop, if you break the law you better watch out. Don't mind my avatar, I don't draw that well. |

RE: Vacationing with evacuees
Gail felt a little confused that Tech was asking him that question again. "I just told you...he wants Scott Pilgrim. Maybe you thought I was saying Scott Pilgrim in reference to something else." He shrugged. "Anyway, he's also eager to get Predators. He really liked the slow pace of the movie and how both sides seemed to be on about equal footing. Because in the first film the one predator was pretty much unstoppable, while in this one there's three."
The wolf chuckled. "It's the law of Conservation of Ninjutsu at work. Although it may be justified in that the humans this time around have heard about predators and they already know some of their tactics. "Also, my writer recently got Netflix and can now instantly watch many movies through his 360. So no need for a rental store anymore, or even buying a lot of movies. You should get it too if you can get ahold of a Netflix box for your TV. $9 a month for hundreds of instantly-streaming movies is hard to beat." |

RE: Vacationing with evacuees
I think about it for a second. "My writer doesn't have the ample money supply to rent from NetFlix. He would rather buy then rent. And he doesn't think that he has a blu-ray player that can do netflix. My writer doesn't wanna have the internet for his blu-ray right now, nor does he think it has that capability. It has bonus view, but that's as far as he'll get with the capability of the blu-ray player.
"As for the Predators movie, My writer did try to get the second predator on DVD but can only find it online. Regardless, he isn't sure what he should do. I just know that he's a much bigger fan of the alien films that Sigourney Weaver is in. I'm sure he'll still try to get the Predator films on DVD or Blu-ray, but it probably won't be until he goes on that inenvitable trip to Texas he does every year, that way he knows that the film will actually show up at his doorstep. He'll probably have to think about the Predators movie, but if your writer likes it then so will my writer. "My writer saw Inception again last night, and he thought it was a very good movie. It was a tad easier to follow this time than the last time. However, if the blu-ray of that movie doesn't have enough special features that'll explain the movie, he isn't sure if he'll wind up getting it. It is a good and original movie, its just hard to follow. Unless of course you take more time to watch it. "So when is the Predators movie coming on DVD and Blu-ray? Who knows, they might have a trilogy package." I am a cop, if you break the law you better watch out. Don't mind my avatar, I don't draw that well. |

RE: Vacationing with evacuees
"I really don't know when it's coming." Gail shrugged. "I haven't seen the second one....but I heard it wasn't good. It was basically the first one, but set in a city right? Doesn't sound like that much fun to me."
The wolf's stomach rumbled. He chuckled. "Sorry...I'm getting hungry. Maybe we should make dinner? I can help cook." |

RE: Vacationing with evacuees
I explain the difference between predator 2 and predators in a slow and calm voice. "If you go by that notion about Predator 2, then you shouldn't get Predators either, right? Because isn't Predators the same exact premise as the first movie? If you look at it, Predators is essentially exactly like the first film, there's just more Predators. So if you go with the exact same notion with Predator 2, then you shouldn't get the Predators movie either. The city is at least a fresh start from the first film. And who do you get your reviews from about movies? How can you complete your Predator collection without Predator 2. At least Predator 2 tried to be a new step from the first film, instead of trying to be a Predator/Alien Versus Predator knock off like Predators is. So, the great thing about the store that my writer is getting Predator 2 from is that it only costs $6.99. So if it only costs that much, why not get it? In fact, the director's idea for Predators came from "Alien Versus Predator" and the first film. To top it all off, Predators might just become its own little trilogy."
I stand from the chair. "Alright, let's start dinner. I think we should make my champion of street fights a wonderful steak and maybe some vegetables and a scrumptious baked potato. How does that sound?" I am a cop, if you break the law you better watch out. Don't mind my avatar, I don't draw that well. |

RE: Vacationing with evacuees
"But Predator 2 was a sequel. Sequels really need to spend time exploring new ideas, you know. A story's never going to be as good as it is the first time you tell it. Meanwhile, Predators was called both a remake and a sequel combined. If it's a remake, then it's easier to swallow seeing the same ideas again. Besides, it's also got a number of its own ideas. I really liked the idea of the humans being dropped in a game preserve planet, and how they were carefully hand-picked by the predators to be good prey. It gives you more of an insight into how they think and how their society works. Not to mention it's very fun watching the tension within the human group too. Very little of that existed in the first film."
Gail too stood up from his chair, as Tech announced what she was going to cook. "A steak sounds good...but I would prefer chicken. Fried chicken. And I'd like to help make it with my own recipe. You do have some chicken, don't you?" He chuckled some at that. The wolf thought about tacking on 'because you're a fox, you know'. But thought that might sound speciesist. |

RE: Vacationing with evacuees
I continue my talk as I walk toward my fridge. "You know, I never knew the Predators films was a remake. I knew it was a sequel, but I had no idea it was a remake of the first film. With that being said, I will still get Predator 2 simply for that one liner in the film. However, could you give me a review of Predators so I can see if it could be a movie i would like to buy on blu-ray, since I'm getting Predator 2 on blu-ray for only $6.99. Don't give too much away since I haven't seen the movie yet, but please give me your thoughts on the Predators movie and I'll be greatly obliged. It'll be greatly appreciated. The review will determine if I buy the movie or not. As for when Predators come out on DVD and Blu-ray, it comes out on october 19th of this year. And it'll have a a heap load of special features on the Blu-ray. So is Predators worth adding to my writer's library of movies?"
I find the chicken in my fridge. "I found the chicken. Is it alright if you make the chicken and I make the potatoes and vegetables? If you still need help with the chicken, just tell me. I'm sure I have the right ingredients and tools for fried chicken." I am a cop, if you break the law you better watch out. Don't mind my avatar, I don't draw that well. |

RE: Vacationing with evacuees
(Hope this is a good place to make my debut!)
"What is this thing, Anu?" "Judging by its size and the wheels at the bottom, I'd say it's a device used for transportation." Outside, a female frilled lizard in royal garb and her scarab beetle companion inspected Tech's Volkswagen curiously. "But what powers it? I don't see any place to attach a harness." "I don't think these people rely on animal-drawn vehicles, Your Highness. It probably powers itself through some futuristic technology." "Hmm..." Queen Jijeka-Te was growing more and more interested in this alien technology. (Well, alien to her.) The Shattering screwed up time something awful. A select few were dumped out of their age altogether, a certain Egyptian queen included. One of Kitty O'Brien's characters. |

RE: Vacationing with evacuees
[I don't think this is a bad spot personally, but are you OK with it Tech? Anyway, until Ji makes her presence known, I guess I'll carry on as usual.]
"I enjoyed it, mostly because in Predators the humans and predators are both about equal. Each side gets its own victories and defeats over the course of the film. It's not like the first film where everybody's picked off one by one, and no one gets a shot at the predator till the end of the film when only Arnold's left. To me, that makes it more interesting because it's not just a curb stomp battle every time predators show up. I'm going to get it when it comes out Blu Ray." Gail quickly took the chicken with a smile, and got out a cutting board with a serrated knife. "Before I left my parents, I learned this wonderful fried chicken recipe, and I'd like to show it to you." The wolf quickly started cutting up the breasts into strips, as he trimmed off the fat. He started laying the fat in one corner, as he made a pile of strips in the other. As he worked, he asked, "Do you have crackers, flour, and season salt? I'll need them to make the breading." |

RE: Vacationing with evacuees
[Yeah, I'm okay with the new character. I'd rather she be here then at Battle Of Soleanna. Welcome aboard.]
I grab a plastic bag and grab a container of flour, lawry's seasoning salt and a package of crackers. "You know, I might just get that Predators movie after all. I'll add onto the two other films I wanted to get that month. Which were the Iron Man film and that dragon movie." I set the items on the counter where Gail plans to work and stands in anticipation to learn the secret family recipe of fried chicken. However, I make sure to stay close enough away to not get cut and the items are nearby where he's at. "Alright champ, show me what you can cook. I would definitely love to know your prowess and potential in cooking. I'm sure you'll make the best fried chickeen." I am a cop, if you break the law you better watch out. Don't mind my avatar, I don't draw that well. |
