Vacationing with evacuees

RE: Vacationing with evacuees
It doesn't take me long to decide what I should tell him. "Its just for exercise to stay in shape. Its just something I enjoy. There are times when a woman has to protect herself. You never know when some Dracula will take her purse. I don't see you as someone who would do that. Let's just say there's more to me than meets the eye.

"All I do is really isn't much of anything. Nothing really happens at a homeless shelter. It isn't like we're constantly busy, but the job is fairly stressful. So you could say my need to box relieves stress."

"What's the most stressful thing about it? Is it trying to find food for everyone? Because I would think it'd be hard to do that." Gail certainly knew that. For his first several months in Gerrant, he was having to live out of homeless shelters and survive on soup kitchens. It wasn't until he'd gotten his feet under him from fighting he'd been able to afford his modest little place.

"I guess the hardest thing is waiting for people who wanna donate the food. Food isn't exactly a hot commodity for the homeless." I finish up my explanation with a question. "Is this some kind of interview you're giving me?"

Gail chuckled. "Well...do you want to talk about something else then? You're not giving me much to work with here." He sat back down, crossed his legs and leaned forward on the table in front of him.

RE: Vacationing with evacuees
I ask after I get a solemn idea from beyond. "There's some movies I would like to see in the very near future. Have you ever heard of "Scott Pilgrim Versus the world"? Its about this teenager that falls in love with this woman and he has to defeat her seven evil ex boyfriends. Wouldn't that be cool if I had seven evil ex boyfriends? Then you'd really have to go all the way to win my heart.

"Another movie I'm looking forward to seeing is "The Girl who played with fire". I already have the DVD for the "Girl with the dragon tattoo." I can't wait to the second one in theaters. Its a movie trilogy that were originally books. Can you believe that? I have all of the books. And the US of A is doing a remake of the first movie and that'll be December 21st of 2011. Isn't that exciting? I am so hyped for that movie.

"And one final movie I'm also looking foward to is called "Black Swan" and its a movie about ballet. So it should be pretty cool. I always wanted to see a super natural thriller based around ballet. So what movie would you like to see?"

RE: Vacationing with evacuees
Gail grinned at the idea behind "Scott Pilgrim", especially when Tech talked about the idea of him doing the same. Sounded like a lot of fun to him.

"Only seven? I don't think seven ex boyfriends would be a problem. Maybe seven hundred...but not seven. I'd whoop all of them easy.

"Now...for what I would watch. It would definitely be "The Expendables". Schwartzneggar, Stallone, Willis, Li, Austin, Statham, and all those action stars. There's actually a shot in there with Schwartzneggar, Stallone, and Willis all together."
Gail practically gave a nerdy squeal of joy...which seemed so weird coming from a jock-type guy like him. "You know...I've been waiting who knows how many years to see something so majestic as that." Suddenly, the macho wolf had transformed into a geek, as he mentally checked off all the movies he'd seen with those three guys in them.

RE: Vacationing with evacuees
I reply after a little while. "My writer saw the movie: Scott Pilgrim Versus the world. And the writer would not reccomend it, unless you're a video game fan. You wouldn't be able to get the movie, unless you were a video game junky. So unless you're someone who really loves video games, the writer of me suggests you not see the movie.

I laugh. "That nerdy squeal of joy when you think about ' The Expendables' sure is funny. Maybe that movie - or maybe perhaps the 'other guys' should have been on my list. Other than that, if I don't wind up seeing the 'Girl who played with fire' in theaters, then I'll simply get it on DVD. So did your writer get a chance to see the 'Expendables'?"

RE: Vacationing with evacuees
"My...writer?"

Gail gave a blank stare to this question. The wolf blinked when he finally realized what she meant. Of course...there was a religion out there that believed that a divine Writer controlled each and every one of them in this universe. Perhaps that was what Tech practiced? Anyway, he didn't personally believe in that, but decided he'd humor her.

"Well...yes he has,"
Gail's face formed into a frown. "He didn't like it. The only really good scene is when one of the Expendables brings out the AA-12 automatic shotgun and totally mows down a whole hallway full of bad guys in like 10 seconds. Or at least that's what he says. Most of the rest of the movie was pretty dull or just plain dumb. And he also longs for the day when film studios figure out that the public hates lots and lots of jump cuts during fight scenes. It just makes it really hard to see what's going on and ruins the action."

Gail sighed, looking up towards the ceiling. That was supposedly where they were...up high above their heads. "How...the hell...does he NOT like it? I mean...I don't see how they could screw up a premise like that! It's just impossible!"

RE: Vacationing with evacuees
I laugh a little. "Your writer must really hate the movie. If I were your writer, I'd watch different movies and just indulge in the fun craziness. Did you know that Avatar is coming back to theaters August 27 with 8 extra minutes of film? It should be pretty cool. Maybe your writer and my writer should watch it sometime. Other than that, there's another movie coming out pretty soon called "Faster" with Dwayne Johnson. And there's another movie my writer would like to see with Nicolas Cage in it.

"The nick cage movie is about someone who dies and winds up in hell. Then he breaks loose from hell and then he seeks revenge on earth. A movie my writer is looking forward to come out on blu-ray and DVD is "Iron Man 2" and "How To Train Your Dragon." Maybe you can join me one day at the league of the all seeing and knowing writer controlling us?

"If not, then I can finish it off with my writer also being an avid reader. Soon enough, he'll follow the league of expendable haters. So what movies does your writer hope to get on DVD or Blu-ray?"

RE: Vacationing with evacuees
Gail raised an eyebrow at the mention of Avatar coming back out with new footage. Really...he didn't like it that much the first time. Why would he spend $10 to see it again just for 8 extra minutes? He probably wouldn't even recognize when the extra footage was playing.

In any case he got a bit creeped out when Tech mentioned he should join her at the writer league. He felt glad that Tech asked a question of him, since it changed the subject.

"Scott Pilgrim, now that he's seen it,"
Gail gave a little growl as he mentioned that name. "It's so nerdy. My writer is such a big nerd, since he likes the videogames so much. I mean...the movie begins with playing Legend of Zelda music. Oh and he just loved the 'bass battle'...'bass battle'. What a lame pun." The wolf shook his head.

"Anyway, why does everyone like Zelda? It's just you running around in the countryside poking things with a sword. Why not games where you shoot things instead? Guns are so much cooler..."
