Warp Inferno
Name: Warp Inferno
Gender: Male
Age: 18
Species: Hedgehog

Appearance: Warp's fur is grey with red highlights. The fur on his quills, ears, hands and feet is all red. He wears a long sleeved white shirt with a black T-shirt over it. His jeans are well-worn, and are particularly faded at the knees. His shoes are black, they sport two dark yellow stripes, one that runs over the top of the shoes and another that connects to the first stripe in the middle.

Warp also carries an over the shoulder backpack with a lot of compartments. It holds a first aid kit, a few Rings, and a picture of his mother and him.

Personality: Warp is a fun person to be around. He is very lighthearted and funny. He is often sarcastic, and enjoys making people laugh. Warp loves music, and often sings.... badly. In battle he becomes very concentrated. Because of this, he is unaware of his surroundings, and is prone to be injured by a environmental hazard or a separate opponent.

Warp believes that when someone dies, they become part of the earth. With this belief in his mind, he does not fear death, nor does he mourn the dead. It may strike other people as disturbing, but he does not mind.

Family
Mother: May Inferno (Age: 52)
Father: Drake Inferno (Age: 54)
Brother: Apocalypse Inferno (Age: 22)
Sister: Armageddon Inferno (Age: 25)

Transport: Walking/running? Otherwise, N/A.

Weapons: Soul Weapon. (see Soul Shaping.)

History

Warp is the son of Drake and May Inferno, and is the youngest of their three children. Drake was the leader of a small city on an island in the middle of the ocean, named Vale. The Inferno Bloodline had always ruled the island, and Drake, the son of Locke Inferno, was known for his harsh command. May, fearing for her newborn's safety, takes Warp away to the mainland. Setting up in an old abandoned log cabin in a forest just off the coast. May raises Warp away from the influence of her husband. Drake makes no attempt to pursue the pair, though he is very bitter about it.

Warp grows up in the small and stuffy cabin, helping his mother about the house, as a young and polite child should. At the day of his 12th birthday, May soon realizes that her little boy is starting to grow up, and the world outside the cabin isn't all love and joy. She had to teach him how to defend himself. She wasn't exactly strong in the physical arts, but maybe using something she knew would benefit him in the later years: Soul Shaping.

At first, Warp didn't really understand the true concept it, but as he was taught and instructed every other day, he soon began to get a hold of it. And for the first time, around the age of 14, his 'hold for it' became literal, as he was finally able to create his first soul weapon; a broadsword fit for two:...hands, that is. It was amazing, after all his training, he was able to do it! ...but it disappeared almost immediately. More training was obviously needed. Even with his new ability, he still had to play as the 'baby boy' around the house, as he continued to learn.

It took him a while to actually manage to hold the sword, but in due time, he was able to, and in that time as well, each passing day, the sword itself seemed to grow slightly; it showed a sign of his increasing power in the art. He was seventeen when it seemed to be completely mastered. But after this lesson was complete, his teachings seemed to...stop. His mother knew nothing more. She sighed as she went on without teaching him, but what could she do?

It was his half birthday to 18, and it was time to realize that a mother has to let a child go. She didn't wish to leave him empty handed, so she began to prepare for him. He seemed puzzled at what her actions meant as of late, but she continued on.

A week after Warp noticed her actions, she finally revealed what she was doing. She was sending him off into the world. She handed him a pack of equipment he would need; your basic first aid kit, a ticket to the Western Isle, his favorite foods just to keep him going, and a picture of his mother and himself, to remind him that there's always a home waiting for him.

The tears were shed, but finally she was able to part. The final embrace and wave was complete, and Warp disappeared into the forest path.

Moves

1) Assaulter: Warp extends his blade to massive proportions (about 7 feet long), and slams it into the ground. When it hits, lots of dust is thrown into the air. The attack isn't as fast as a normal attack, and is therefore easier to dodge.
FLAWS: If Warp misses, it takes a couple of seconds to pull the sword out of the ground and change it back to it's normal size, leaving him open to attacks.

2) Lucky Seven: Warp attacks his opponent with six rapid, but weak strikes, followed by a powerful strike. In order to use this move, Warp has to connect with a single strike right before performing it.
FLAWS: In the pause between the sixth and seventh strike is just long enough for someone to recover and dodge/attack.

3) Flash Jump: By moving a small amount of air under his feet skywards, Warp crouches low and launches several feet into the air.
FLAWS: Warp cannot dodge attacks while falling back towards the ground.

4) Can't beat primal Instinct: When this ability is used, Warp is guaranteed to dodge an attack and deal a counter attack.
FLAWS: Can only be used once per week. Can't be used on large-radius attacks, nor projectile attacks.

Skills
Soul Shaping (stage 2): Warp's Soul Weapon is a two-handed broadsword, with a red outline. It takes about two seconds to form the blade, and in order to keep it formed, Warp has to concentrate. If he's distracted, it will disappear. It draws from his energy, and will eventually knock him out if he keeps it on for too long. Though it can harm opponents, nobody other than Warp can wield it.

Weak magic: Warp has a weak grasp of other types of magic. He hardly ever uses
any of it at all. He can create small, marble-sized fireballs, and can also move small amounts of air.

Strengths:
- Capable of stringing together devastating combos.
- Normal strikes, if placed correctly, are wide enough to hit multiple opponents.
- Good balance between strength and speed.

Weaknesses:
- Practically no ranged attacks.
- Doesn't block as often as he should, often gets hit by attacks that could have been avoided/blocked.
- Becomes very focused in battle, but rarely concentrates on anything besides the opponent in front of him. This leaves him open to sneak attacks, flanking, etc.
- Forced to constantly synch with blade

I got the Idea of Soul Shapers from two flashes, Nightmare City and Nightmare City: Catastrophe.

Soul Shaping:

Soul Shaping is a specialized practice of Magic, which allows the user to create personalized weapons of energy. A Soul Shaper cannot be disarmed, as the energy is part of them as much as an arm or a leg is. Each Soul weapon resembles a lightsabre blade in appearance. The color of the outline is extremely varied. it can be any color.

Stages of Soul Shaping:

Stage 1 : Your Soul Weapon is, in every way sans appearance, a regular weapon. A beginners Soul Weapon is can be anything. It is usually determined at birth. Once a Soul Shaper summons his first weapon, he cannot change it. As a Soul Shaper becomes more familiar with his Soul Weapon, it gets lighter and more lethal. Eventually, they pass into Stage 2.

Stage 2 : As a Soul Shaper begins to gain more control over his Soul Weapon, he eventually is able to do things that he could not do before. In addition to being only half the weight it was when it was created, his weapon can change shape. However, at this stage, a Soul Shaper's weapon cannot change it's basic form. (example: You can make your sword's blade extend, but you cannot turn it into a shield.)

Stage 3: Eventually, a Soul Shaper has an advanced state of control over his Soul Weapon, and himself. He gains a second form for his weapon, (usually something within the same vein as the original weapon.) and has the same amount of control over it as he does the first. At this stage, both weapons are nearly as light as a feather.

Stage 4 AKA The Divine Spark: After an long period of time, a Soul Shaper becomes a master. When he summons his Soul Weapon, instead of an actual weapon, it is a small sphere of energy. The outline of the weapon is gold, and it can become physically anything. Spears, Bows, Anything. You name it, a master Soul Shaper can make it. Unlike with the other stages, a Soul Shaper accesses his divine spark, and all the powers, at once.
