Battle of ground on Soleanna

[Princess Elise]

Princess Elise can only watch the battle going on in the city and hope that Soleanna's military forces are enough to defeat this invasion. She gets a report that two hedgehogs have joined the battle against Robotnik, and this gives her a little bit of new hope, but she doesn't know either of them, and thus doesn't know how much help they can be.

The forces around the landing zone continued to focus much of their fire on the large ships, many took aim at Egg Ship 1, since it was the one shooting back at them the most right now.

Elsewhere in the city where bots began to parachute from Egg Ship 2 and 4, other ships and Army hovertanks began to shoot as many of them out of the sky as they could, while ground troops engaged any that made it to the ground.

((Sorry Blitz, but we have been waiting since June 26 for you to modify your post. But like I said, I will skip over how my NPCs react to your character for now.))

All of you may want to make your way towards the city. I think the military's got Egg Ship 5 under control. We will use this topic for battling his army there. If you want to fight Robo in person, join the topic "Battle of Soleanna".))

By this time Egg Ship 5 was no longer a threat. The Soleanna Army's attacks had disabled nearly all of the ship's weapons and punched holes through its armor too. A massive explosion ripped through the back of Egg Ship 5, where the engines were. Oddly, it seemed to be an internal explosion, rather than one caused by exterior gunfire. This was caused by Giichi and Falina, who'd successfully sabotaged the engine room from the inside. But if they didn't escape the ship quickly, they'd go down with it.

Those swatbots that had been with Egg Ship 5 attempted to flee into the woods in their own hovertanks or on foot, but since they were surrounded it wasn't looking good. Explosions ripped through their ranks all over the place.

Egg Ship 1's paratroopers joined the paratroopers already being dumped by the other egg ships. However, Soleanna scored a direct hit on the bottom of the ship, opening a gigantic hole there. The observant would notice swatbots and tanks falling out through the hole like candy from a piñata, since they had not suited up with parachutes and landing jets yet.

By this time, the sea of swatbot paratroops practically blotted out the sun. It looked like a cloud of locusts descending to devour crops. Every explosion in the sky took out many swatbots with how close together they were, but still even more poured out of the Egg Ships flying through the sky to replace them. Those who were on the ground would have to watch out for falling debris as well as actual enemies.

There wasn't a part of the city anymore that wasn't under attack from swatbots. If the heroes thought they were having fun before with one ship, wait till they saw the swarm invading Soleanna proper now.

Meanwhile, the Egg Carrier maintained its position off the coast of the city, and began taking potshots with its weapons where it could see the biggest flashpoints from Soleanna's weapons. From how it had maintained its distance, it would be difficult to return fire while engaging the swatbots at the same time.

Egg Ships 1, 2, and 4 up in the sky did the same, although their view was hampered by the volume of soldiers they were dumping.

((Anyone who's left in this topic, you may want to consider the battle here pretty much resolved. Half of Egg Ship 5 has just blown up, and the forces that survived are scattering or getting cut down fast. I would recommend heading for another topic.))
