RE: The Battle of Soleanna
Tails shakes Dulcy as much as he possibly. However, he ueses only one arm since the other one hurts. He raises his voice to heighten Dulcy's need to wake up.. "Wake up! Wake up!" His vision starts to blur from exhaustion and from the wound. H e shakes himself awake and continue in his attempts to wake up Dulcy. Tails doesn't care about the swat bots just yet. his main focus is Dulcy. |

RE: The Battle of Soleanna
Trying to make sense of the chaos that made up battle was difficult in the best of situations. From all sides they were getting approached and assaulted. It left a worried feeling in his gut. One whose opinion was that some idiot should have left this to those who had experience in this sort of stuff. There was a flicker of worry in his eyes as they darted about, trying to figure out where to start and not having any better idea then he did the moment before. His brain had a different idea on that subject, though. Those people fighting, they had gained that experience somehow, and it was not the easy way. There was no easy way. He stepped closed to the others and spoke up. "Lovely day for a stroll, isn't it? You wouldn't mind if I tossed in with your lot for a while would you?"
He could have ran. He could have done a lot of things, but this is what he'd chosen. Might as well sit with it and stop bellyaching. Qesun took aim at another of the closer ones with his pistol and pulled the trigger. *Click.* There was a momentary horror there. His heart nearly stopped and he skipped a breath. If Qesun wasn't facing away from the others, they would have likely seen that look on his face. He swore up and down he'd kept count, but obviously he was wrong. That gun was empty. "Son of a..." he started as he dropped into a kata, ready to try to fight in close with the first one that came up. He never finished the 'comment,' though, more worried about what was about to go down. |

RE: The Battle of Soleanna
By this time, Egg Ship 1 had taken critical damage and fallen into the sea on the outskirts of Soleanna. And now that Egg Ships 2 and 4 had dumped their cargo, they retreated, wounded, back into formation with the Egg Carrier. The Egg Carrier let loose a small torrent of long-range missiles on the largest of the AA batteries protecting the city. They'd certainly shot enough to easily expose their positions.
The SWATbots in the city continued to run amok, trying to overwhelm the Soleanna military with sheer numbers rather than good tactics or better weaponry. However, now that all the bots were in play, the numbers would only go down. --- “HA! Got’um.” Robotnik smiled. He didn't know who these people were or why they'd called him Eggman-Sama, but they seemed helpful. "Thank you...De-- Uh...De...Dee..." Robotnik scratched his chin. He couldn't remember. "What was that name?" The doctor shrugged. "Oh well." He spun around, grinning at how he had his attackers on the run now. They were all piled up in a group and surrounded. Some of them had critical injuries too. Perhaps he could bring this to an end right now. Dr. Robotnik aimed his gigantic pistol in Dulcy's direction. She didn't look like she'd be getting up for a bit, not to mention she had other good targets in the line of fire too since they were tending to her. "SWATbots! Halt!" Chadin's two shots took out two more bots. Otherwise the SWATbots moved to a stop, but kept their weapons at the ready and pointed squarely at the group of heroes. "Attention...Sonic...freedom fighters...and...uh..." How many different people were in this motley crew now? He sighed. "...random civilians. I have you surrounded, some of you are too injured to move, and you have no hope of escape. You saw what my gun did to that building over there. Give up, or I will kill all of you right now." |

RE: The Battle of Soleanna
Sonic felt a little overwhelmed at the entire situation. He had a hurt dear, a down for the count dragon, and Tails who was mindlessly trying to wake the dragon instead of trying to do something to protect her while he was down. Though he couldn’t blame him, he was still just a kid. And on top of all of that, Robotnik had the upper hand. Even he wouldn’t chance anything when Robotnik had a good hold. There were just….too many people evolved! He was always fighting Robotnik alone. Sure, Tails, Knuckles and even Shadow had helped out; but he was still doing most of the fighting. And they were never down for the count! And just who where these Freedom fighters? What was going on anyways?!
Shaking the rushing thoughts out of his head he looked up towards the mech. He couldn’t just pick any of them up and run off with them; and he couldn’t deflect a laser. He had to do something though. Letting the deer run off towards Dulcy, he shouted, hoping to get Robotnik’s attention. “HEY, RO-BUT-NIK!!! LEAVE THEM OUT OF THIS!!” he began, feeling absolutely futile, “How about we settle this ourselves! Do you just want to win this the cowardly way, like the BIG, FAT, COWARD you are; instead of winning this the way that will put you in legends!!” He wanted to kick himself for the words he was using. But hopefully, Robotnik’s pride would get him to turn his attention away from the group. |

RE: The Battle of Soleanna
Decoe could only stare and blink for a couple of seconds as he saw the incoming man. Like a deer in the headlights, Dr. Robotnik’s words were not enough to snap him out of the incoming disaster, till the man was finally on their feet and dashing towards him. Once he managed to realize the danger approaching, he quickly turned the yo-yo strings off; killing the extra boost but too late. Despite his trying to dodge he was hit; a slash made across his chest as he was pushed off the arm like he was a swatted fly. It took a moment for him to register the hit and his falling down as he could tell right away that despite the slash not being deep, it short circuited a few chips in his system. Not to mention he had no idea where his six yo-yo’s were now since he didn’t have enough time to get them back, which left him at a fighting disadvantage.
Though that should be the least of his worries. Grapping the last three yo-yo’s he had, he managed to grapple onto the bots arm; though he didn’t bother to grapple up. The “pain” in his chest singled him out for a fight. There was no way he could take another hit like that, and he wasn’t quite sure he was up to it in the first place. Ah, well, it wasn’t his fault. It’s not like any of Robotnik’s plans worked anyways. ---- Bocoe didn’t move his ground as he saw the Doctor’s checkmate. After all, he didn’t want to screw things up. ---- As soon as the events unfolded, Bokkun quickly flew up in front of the mech’s face, waving his arms frantically. “DOCTOR ROBOTNIK!!! SOMEONE’S COMEING UP YOUR ARM!!!” |

RE: The Battle of Soleanna
(Sorry for posting before you Chaddin, but I am trying to keep my characters compiled together ==. Also, this is the last portion of posting I do where my character posting is mixed. I just wanted to do it for some fun that I couldn’t really do with anyone else’s character. )
Without hesitation, as soon as she had her feet on some kind of solid ground, she began to run right towards Decoe. He stood there, dumbfounded for what seemed like seconds before she could feel the wires around her waist go away and the extra boost speed gone. It didn’t matter though, since she quickly went past him; knocking him out of the way as she began her dash up the arm. ‘What…what was going -on-’?! She felt out of focus. One moment she felt like pulverizing the yellow guy and now she was going back to the imposter? She felt throbbing in her head as she heard Robotnik speak again. She HAD to stop him from TALKING!!! The more the imposter used his voice, the more unfocused she became. Her headaches were beginning again, which would mean her fighting power would be out of wack. Not to mention the hedgehog was here; and she couldn’t let some damn imposter take him out. The hedgehog was HER’S to kill, and no one else. In no time, she finally reached her destination; the head. She could hear a few people yelling, but she couldn’t really hear what they said. But what did it matter to her, anyways? |

RE: The Battle of Soleanna
Rampage slammed his fists on the dashboard in outrage. His metallic arm actually left a fair sized dent while the other hardly scratched the paint. "WHAT!!! The fight's over already!!" At least, that's what it looked like from his vantage point way up in the sky. From here, it would appear that Robotnik has the heroes dead to rights. Check and mate. Especially when he saw the hedgehog stepping forward in that oh-so-typical heroic last stand sort of way. He couldn't actually hear what the hedgehog said, but judging by Sonic's body language, Rampage could guess that he was trying to challenge Robotnik in order to spare the others. How very noble of him, he thought. This Sonic certainly had all the hallmarks of the hedgehog Rampage had faced before.
This was usually the point when something out of the blue distracts the villain holding the weapon at their foe and poised to strike long enough for the the heroes to turn the tide of the fight. And that is precisely what Rampaged intended to do. While he may want Sonic and his companions dead, what Rampage really wants is a good hard fight. If that means playing the devils advocate in order to prolong the battle than so be it. All he needs is some sort of distraction that won't directly point to him as its source. "Commander, I am detecting surface radar from an anti-aircraft battery targeting our position." Instead of being worried, Rampage actually smiled with delight. "Ah, that's why I like you so much Delta, always there to give me just the right advice at just the right time. Rampage threw his controls to the left as a energy shot whizzed past the canopy. Very deliberately, Rampage made sure to stop his ship directly in front of a tall building while keeping himself between the building and the AA battery. "Another round incoming." Delta reported. "Good." Rampage pulled back on his stick and with all apparent ease, his hovercraft rose straight up in the air as the shot sailed underneath him and struck the building. The shot exploded into the building, sending shattered glass, concrete and steel raining down onto the street below where Robotnik and the others were battling. Rampage smiled most deviously as he saw the debris falling exactly where he had hoped it would. No doubt at least some of the debris would hit Robotniks mecha and possibly the Freedom Fighters. Only the outer fringes of the falling debris would fall onto the Freedom Fighters; most if not all of them would escape. He couldn't have asked for a better distraction. And, just to make sure there is no way for Robotnik to pin anything on him later, Rampage cut his repulsion drives and dropped toward the ground like a stone. He planned to come swooping in over top of the Freedom Fighters and make a grand entrance worthy of Robotnik himself. |

RE: The Battle of Soleanna
Tails shaking her does help to rouse Dulcy a little quicker, and before long her emerald eyes slowly opened and she began to stir. "Ooff, I've had some rough landings, but that one really takes the cake... I'm glad I didn't go splat..." She says as she begins to stand, but is suddenly cut short as Robotnik begins to speak. This startles Dulcy greatly and she jumps to her feet as she looks up at the giant mecha that is dangerously close. As Robotnik threatens to kill them all if they don't surrender, she looks around at everyone. "If surrender just means you are going to roboticize us, then I think I speak for all of us when I say, no deal!" Dulcy then begins to flap her wings, but she quickly winces in pain, and her heart sinks as she turns to look at Tails. "Uh oh... My wings must have been injured when I crashed, looks like I'm grounded."

RE: The Battle of Soleanna
I was quite surprised when all the swatbots suddenly halted their advance. Sure I was relieved but them stopping when they clearly had us out numbered just screamed wrong.
"Attention...Sonic...freedom fighters...and...uh...random civilians. I have you surrounded, some of you are too injured to move, and you have no hope of escape. You saw what my gun did to that building over there. Give up, or I will kill all of you right now." As I looked up to face Robotnik's mecha, my ears drooped in utter dismay as I stared down the barrel of Robotnik's massive gun. "That is a BIIIIIIIIIIG gun..." I muttered in total awe. It was like staring down the gullet of some massive predator, or (and I hate to use the analogy) but I just stared at that weapon like a deer caught in the headlights. My mind went completely blank with fear. I just didn't know what to do. It was only when Sonic and Dulcy stepped forward to wholeheartedly reject Robotniks' ultimatum that I was able to snap out of my fear-induced trance. I glared hard at Robotnik's ugly likeness and my ears curled back behind my head with indignation. "Yeah! Go shove it up your..." My ears suddenly shot straight up as I heard a powerful explosion high above us. I looked up to see a massive pile of debris plummeting towards us. "LOOK OUT!!!!" I wailed at the top of my lungs as I pointed upwards to the threat and turned to run for my life. All thoughts of my injured knees disappeared in a swirl of adrenaline as I ran as fast as my hooves could carry me. I could only hope that the others got out of the way in time as the debris began to rain down all around us. Absolutely massive chunks of concrete the size of cars pulverized the streets and shook the ground with a teeth rattling crunch. Steel beams came crashing down with enough force to completely bisect abandoned cars. Others, came down in such away that they actually embedded themselves into the hard asphalt surface like a javelin. Glass fell like rain, slicing small, street-side cafe' parasols into Swiss cheese. The falling debris also managed to throw up all the dust that had settled from the building collapse earlier, obscuring the battlefield once again; though not nearly as bad as the first time. The cloud of dust wasn't nearly as thick and impenetrable and no where near as massive. The dust would settle quite quickly on its own this time. As I ran, I felt something hard strike me on the head, throwing me for a total loop. Naturally I stumbled and fell. My head was spinning a mile a minute and as I raised a hand to rub the spot I could feel warm blood gushing up forth. Just as I was about to grumble about my rotten luck a HUGE chuck of concrete smashed down on the ground ahead of me. If not for me stumbling, I might have been crushed right then and there. I gulped quite loudly at the daunting size of what may have well ended my days as a Freedom Fighter once and for all. A few more of those and I might not survive this fight from the stress alone... |

RE: The Battle of Soleanna
Tails cheers to discover that Dulcy gets up. However, he doesn't resort to hug Dulcy. He looks around in fear as glass and debris fall. He maybe happy that most of it is heading straight for Robotnik. He still covers his ears and shouts. "We won't ever surrender. You're not gonna change me into a robot!" He sees the debris fall and the glass and wants to cover his eyes. However he wants to keep his eyes on Robotnik. To see if he likes it when the tables turn. |
